What's great about it: Highly functional, well-designed, straightforward and very useful device.
What's not so great: A bit pricey.
Although this product comes at a rather high price, it has been very well thought out - perhaps by some insightful engineers and others who have used such devices, or who listened carefully to customers and their needs, and who then thought hard about the features to include. Of special note are the number of outlets as well as their careful and precise spacing, which allows more transformers to be plugged in and does not cause them to overlap a neighboring socket, thereby losing the use of that socket. This is a very nice, well designed and straightforward product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: number of outlets, phone and coaxial protection, spaced outlets
What's not so great: outlets are really tight and snug
i got this cause i needed more outlets without plugging up 2 strips at the same time. this is a great one! it has 11 outlets, and 4 are spaced, so plenty of room! and coaxial and phone protection is the icing on the cake! my only beef is how tight the outlets are, so make sure its going in the right way, cause you gotta push a little hard to plug stuff in, but no big deal. overall great buy!

My Dynex product failed to protect my computer and the company is not promptly honoring the protected equipment warranty. They are referring me to another company that manufactured the product and this other company's claim department does not return calls!

I ordered this online for $15, which was much less than the in-store price of $35. I already had one for my PC, and am using this one in my bonus room home theater/video game setup.
I have not seen any other surge protector with as many outlets, and I need at least 9 to accommodate all of my equipment. This unit has so far proven to be reliable and effective.
The extra room around 4 of the outlets is great for items that have large plugs, and the input./output for the coax and telephone lines is a brilliant idea. You don't usually find those things on a unit at this price.
Wait for the online-only sale and buy it then.

What's great about it: The whole system can be protected by one product

Someone paid attention to real world needs when this product was configured. The location and spacing of the outlets to accept plugs with and without transformers is just what I need and was incentive for the purchase of this model. Now the power cords run to one location instead of three. The phone line protection is also a plus. I have lost two ethernet cards to phone line surges.
I can say nothing about reliability and protection. There is no way to know at this point. If, after a series of t-storms the card is still functioning, I would say it is probable that protection was successful.

I purchased this surge protector after Christmas. At the beginning of summer, my home was hit by a surge. The other computer in my office, clocks, and cable boxes all were affected. The computer that I was using when the surge hit and that was attached to the Dynex surge protector was no longer functioning after the surge. I took my computer in to be serviced and they found that my power supply was damaged and needed to be replaced. I also contacted Dynex and filled out the four or five forms that were required to satisfy their warrenty as well as sending the surge protector back to them to be tested. Dynex has since contacted me and stated that their original surge protector was fine and was functioning properly. It is obvious to me that Dynex does not stand behind their products and their warrenties.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love how it has 11 plugs. 4 of them being Expaneded not close together. I have 8 slots taken up in this thing. also it has where ur phone and cable lines can be grounded.

Good surge protector for the money. Has a good warranty. Seems to be just as good as Monster, but much less expensive. Would be great if it came with screws and anchors for wall mounting.

Owned this product for about 4 months now, works really well. Have not used the coax cables or other things, but have most of the strip filled up with all my pc components which I happen to have a lot of. Was able to buy in store for $27, since the price went down I might buy another one.

What's not so great: Best Buy shipping. Terrible packaging and took too long.
The product is great and all but the shipping and handling from Best buy was horrible. The package looked like it was about to burst open, wish I took a picture. I order all the time from another company online and never seen such a terrible job of packaging . Also it took too long to receive the product. I will never order online again from Best Buy.

What's great about it: Ability to plug so man objects into it.
What's not so great: Haven't found one yet.
I have only own it for about a month, but so far so good. It is nice since I live in a small studio in San Francisco with only one plug outlet in the main room, so being able to plug all my computer equipment into one power strip and freeing up the other plug for other things helps out a lot.

I got this product for only $23 last Thanksgiving. The price was great for 3600 joules with 11 outlets. it has a good positioning of outlet just right for your adaptors and plugs. I've been using Dynex products for a long time now. there's no problem or any complain about their products.

What's great about it: High capacity, multiple protection options
What's not so great: SOckets seemed overly snug when plugging in different peripherals
Didn't give it an overall 5 as you never really know how well ia power strip with protection is going to work until something bad happens and forces it to do it's job. /grin Only complaint is that sockets seemed snug or maybe weren't machined as cleanly as they could have been as I had some resistance getting every-day items plugged in. Works fine otherwise, feels durable, provides more than enough sockets for a single-workstation setup. Got it on sale for what the normal 8 socket model price would have been.

I haven't bought one yet but the rf would be good to protect your system from surges on the cable line.I once had an electrical storm and unplugged all my sensitive equipment.I went in the basement to unplug the main cable line and got a real nasty shock from the ground on the cable line.Much worse than 115V.I'll just let it fry next time.
