What's great about it: It does print fast
What's not so great: Very difficult to install. It has a mind of its own

"I returned my first one after multiple attempts to install it. Second one was as difficult but found a HP site to download special drivers. That helped. Plan on 2+ hours to download drivers and install printer. The printer finally fully installed on the third attempt. When I turned it on several days later, an error message appeared stating printer was not installed and it wasn't. Had to go through the install process again. Few days later the printer refused to print unless it was turned off and back on. Called HP and worked with them over the phone for an hour or so. No noticeable improvement plus the FAX componet had to be reinstalled.

When it works, print was clear and sharp. Speed was fast. I rate it poor to fair considering the time it takes to install the printer and that it randomly refuses to print although the information window says "Ready."

My instinct is that the pritner does not work with XP Professional."

What's great about it: Great Product as all HP business class are
What's not so great: None

"This is a great machine, I bought it for my wife as her old one died, it was a canon MF390 and was a boat anchor. It is worth the money as it is designed for business, most of the all-in-ones out there aren't designed to handle a lot of use; and many people don't understand why some (like this one) are a bit expensive. Well the reason is that they are built better and aren't for the casual user; these products are for people that are going to use them daily."

What's great about it: Easy install
What's not so great: Haven't found any

"I recently purchased a Brother MFC 7820n, based on price as it was too good of a deal to pass up. I was painfully reminded why I purchase HP printer products as the Brother product was difficult to install and lasted only one month! I have since purchased the HP M1522nf and could not be more pleased. The installation and set up was infinitely better and extremely easy. Presently, I’m using an Arris cable modem supplied from Time Warner, Netgear’s Rangemax, wireless router. My office: One desktop HP Pavillion running XP, One HP Pavillion laptop with XP and one Compaq laptop running Vista. Recommendation: The HP M1522nf is a must buy."
