Essential to getting 100% completion. 05/16/2008

What's great about it: Gives you helpful advice in completing the game: missions, flying rats, cars, etc.
What's not so great: Bought this guide at 19.95, but it should be lower now.

"I just beat the story mode missions and my completion level is at 70%. For the most part, you can wing the game by finding out ways to accomplish mission tasks.

The real factor in why you'd buy this guide is for the rest of the "hard to find" stuff that is necessary in order for you to complete the game at 100%. These include finding close to 200 flying rats (basically you have to shoot pigeons all over a huge Liberty City map), finding cars that Steve sends through text messages (there's about another 30 missions on that alone), and also finding those hidden characters (which leads to more missions in the game).

Aside from that, it gives you a helpful walkthrough in beating the missions specifically and helps locates important stuff. Try beating one of the last couple missions without finding a first aid kit or body armor and you'll know what I'm talking about.

All in all, this isn't necessary to beat the game, but if you're hardcore about finishing the entire thing then you will need this guide."

What's great about it: AMAZING, BEST GAME EVER
What's not so great: $19.99 is a little expensive but still well worth it
