"All of my friends have really nice flat screens that they bragged about. The bragging came to a stop when they saw ours. This is really the best TV I've seen in a long time. The picture is great. The sound is great. Its functionality with my computer is great. I love this tv!"

"Lots of people say 4 stars for sound...but if you are spending 2,000 plus on a TV, you are already wrong if you do not have or plan to have surround sound. TV has feature to completely turn off its internal speaker. Thousands of inputs in the back and on the side, no matter how you mount this thing it will accept your cables. Red border is hardly noticable and looks great anyway. Erroneous complaints about the reflectivity of the screen, yes it is glossy, yes it looks great, and yes i have a huge window with tons of light glaring in on my screen, and no I don't have any problems watching my tv at all. No reflections or glare that cause u to not see dark scenes. PERFECT, REPLACED MY SAMSUNG 50" DLP"

"I am extatic that I went with this TV, having considered several others in the 50" category (Samsung A550 plasma, Panasonic 80 & 85U plasmas). I came from a 42" Sony LCD rear-projection TV which was good, but this picture blows it away. Be sure with any TV purchase to consider calibration (you can download disks to burn from various websites). This LCD has a bit more glare than others, but in daytime viewing the picture is so good/bright/clear it doesn't matter in my living room with 3 windows on the opposite wall. At nightime, with my customized movie settings for the picture, blue ray discs are nothing short of jaw-dropping. The menu system has a couple of quirks that amount to minor annoyances. And the TV sound is a little weak (but so are most flat panel TVs); I have mine hooked up through a Onkyo receiver so dont use the TV speakers anyway. If this TV is in your budget, you will not likely be disappointed with it!"

"This was my initial endeavor in a widescreen television. I initially had a problem with the sound quality(static) . The problem originated from the HDMI port. Bestbuy replaced the television without any hassle. Words really can't describe the quality of the picture."

"I had to take the plunge eventually because of an outdated television from 1996. This new 52" (count 'em! 52"!!!!) was by far the best television purchase ever. I trust the name Samsung and was not disappointed at anything with the televsion, in fact, I was so impressed that I went out the very next day (no kidding!) and purchased the same make (Samsung) in a 19", a 32" and a 36"!!! My whole house is updated and now ready for that (stupid if you ask me) digital conversion. Some of you may think "wow, what a bundle of money to spend" but I'll tell you honestly that yes, it was a lot of money when you add all the t.v.'s up that I purchased, but as soon as they were hooked up into all my rooms, my investment was already paid for in terms of sure enjoyment of the clarity of the screen and the amazing overall picure and sound. An added bonus to the A650 model is that the 52" screen and base has a deep burgundy color to it and it just "glows" and it's not your everyday typical black - nice touch, very nice touch to this Samsung. I'm more than extremely satisfied with all my new Samsungs - you did count how many I purchased, didn't you?!! Happy television watching!!"

"We purchased this TV about 2 months ago and it's great the picture is amazing and the sound off the TV sounds really good. You can also update the firmware on this set via USB. I seen some people complain about not enough room when mounted to the wall this has to do with the brace your using not the set. The remote's ok but you need to really aim at the IR on the set, I'm going to try a universal remote and see if that makes a difference. Buy a good HDMI pay the extra. My set-up is PS3 for gaming and watching movies (DVD & Blu-Ray) upscaling from regular DVD is great, Blu-Ray's will blow your mind, 360 for gaming. Getting HD package from Direct TV this week, still looking for a surround sound system. Good luck and hope this helped......................."

"This set is even better than the 750A. The colors are
deep and beautiful. No problem in shwoing fast movement especially in sports. But it needs to have a
better sound and remote.
In summary, in a not-shiny room it is fine especially if
you don't want pay more for Sony's XBR4.
I give it 4 stars."

"If you want the clearest HD picture you've ever seen this is the TV to purchase. Picture clarity is great with standard broadcast signals, even better with DVD and Comcast HD signals and absolutley amazing with Blu-Ray!
Set-up was straigthforward and mounting on masonry using a Sanus wall mount was a breeze. The hardest part of the installation was the removal of the supplied stand!"

"If you want the best of the best, then this is it. Unmatched picture quality, wonderful apperance, and plenty of flexibility for adding you personel components. I just purchased this tv and words do not due it justice. If you EVER have time to see a demo on this tv in your local BestBuy, don't miss it. I promise you will be impressed.
I have the 71 series in my bedroom which impressed me. Just when I thought they couldn't make a tv picture clearer, here it is.
If I had to describe this tv in one word...... WOW!"

"I purchased this TV for our media room which is 22 x 13. The quality, color, sound are all top notch! The redness around the outer edge adds just enough flare to make it look special and almost like a piece of art on the wall.

"I did a lot of forum research trying not to get burned making a 2-3 grand purchase and up being dissapointed. My trolling on the internet paid off big time. Every other version of Samsungs 52" LCDs seemed to come with mixed reviews and even a few nightmare stories. Then i noticed the A650 getting more and more positive reviews with only the occasional moronic complaints from people who don't deserve such a well rounded tv. Best Buy price matched Circuit City and i had triple reward zone points so it was a no brainer. Love the clairity and ease of set up. Stylish design. Works great with my samsung upconverting dvd player as well as my PS3 blu-ray. Speaker quality isnt an issue since i use my surround sound AV receiver."

"I won't bother going into all the technical details of this TV, because many other reviewers have already dont that. But I will say that this TV rocks! Picture quality, even when not using HDMI inputs, is better than I thought possible. Almost makes regular TV and DVD's look 3D.

There's only one downside, and it isn't a knock on this TV, but rather, HD in general. Closed captioning data is NOT transmitted through HDMI or component inputs. You must use either composite or s-video cables to have closed captioning. But again, this isn't just a function of this TV. From what I've read, the FCC doesn't require broadcasters or TV manufacturers to transmit the data on HD signals, so nobody does.

Had I known this before I bought it, I would still have made the purchase. Even the component and s-video quality far exceeds any tube TV I've ever seen."

"After a week of canny/tinny sound from the speakers, i took this tv back. I asked several people about their lcd that has a samsung and they say their tv is like this to. but they all have a home theater to. paying almost 3k for a tv and then having to pay 400 more for good sound is unacceptable, which was the suggestion from all the places i talked to. I will buy my next tv from best buy over the competitors but"

Cons: You won't want to watch a regular tv set again.Regular tv and non highdef channels are boring now.

"This television is incredible!! We did not realize how much we were missing while watching our old tv set. This television is so true to life that at times it feels like you are there with the actors while they are filming the movie. It also feels like you can almost touch what is on the screen. It is better than the IMAX!!
High defenition channels and blue ray discs look just awesome!! Even the regular DVD's look fantastic.
The service we received at the local Best Buy store was superior too!! We highly recommend this television set and the store too. Thank you Best Buy for the BEST product and deal in town!!"

Cons: watching non-hd channels arent't that great.

"when your watching blu-ray movies on it...you'll notice a HUGE difference in regular 1080p versus 1080p with 120hz refresh rate. There is no motion blur and it looks as if you watching it live. Pretty awesome. I think im going to get the 46" one for the bedroom. Definitely two thumbs up on this one!"
