What's great about it: Picture, Picture, Picture!!! What's not so great: The controls (on/off, channel, volume) that are physically on the TV are dumb.
"This was my first flat panel TV. I won't kid you... I EXPECTED A LOT from this TV. And frankly, it has blown my socks off. If this TV was HALF as good, then I think I'd still be satisfied. This picture & brightness is just amazing. What's more (and here's the part that REALLY surprised me) it makes even non-HD broadcasts look better (even when displayed in full screen). The controls on the front of the TV are very fancy and touch sensitive. The problem is... you can't see them to touch them."

What's great about it: The setup and ease of the tv was great. Out of the box and onto the table, plug it up and we were ready to watch TV What's not so great: NO CONS
"Did some reasearch and the Samsung stood out for picture quality and the hookups were great. The HD Picture quality made the wife's jaw drop to the floor, she could not believe the difference. The 120 Hz was one of the features we were looking at and the Football games , what can I say TOTALLY AWESOME......I would highly recommend the Samsung to all my friends and family."

What's great about it: Clear picture, no blur, easy to use, navigate & set-up What's not so great: RSS link stick is extra $
"My first hdtv, but I've seen many and researched hard. Much more bang for the money than Sony Bravia & others. Easy to use controls help navigate screen use for sports, movies, gaming. Colors are vivid, blacks are true. Very easy to set-up. I do not use the speakers, but instead put on a Bose 3.2.1 on and it sounds great. Tv shows the dvd's, cd's and everything well on the tv."

What's great about it: BB' price was not the lowest I found, but the 3 yr. w/no finance charge made it irresistable What's not so great: Takes too long to come on
"This is my first HD tv, so of course it has the best picture of any tv I've owned. The colors are vivid, the picture is so sharp. What detail! My only complaints are 1- The wheel on the remote is too sensitive 2- It takes too long to pick up a signal after being powered up. ( Even if the cable box is already on. Other than that, I love it."

What's great about it: image quality What's not so great: remote control
"If your looking to upgrade look no further I was a die hard plama user because picture quality after seeing the contrast ratio and the semi glossy screen i was sold. I get the best of both worlds picture quality of a Plasma and video gaming of an LCD watching movies in a whole different level with the 120hz. A must of for anyoning looking to upgrade."

"This was my first HD TV purchase and I couldn't be more pleased. The picture quality is great, and I have yet to change my DirecTV box to HD. The XBOX and DVD players look great. Surprised that the remote is not Universal with all of the other accessories out there. DirecTV remote picked up the TV right away though."

What's great about it: Very good refresh time, and fast response even during extreme sports What's not so great: The remote not very useful
"The picture is very good the reaction time between one scene to another is hardly notice. I watch a lot of sports and I was being hesitant about buying an LCD because I always heard that Plasma have better response time than LCD. But since the area where I was going to put my TV was very lid because of so many windows in the room, I had to go for an LCD. This TV has no reflection from the light that could notice, also it has the best processor that is being use for better response time. Samsung has always kept up to their expectation."

What's great about it: Excellent picture, great quality, physically looks awesome, swivel base. What's not so great: I hear the speakers aren't the best, I use a surround sound system, so I wouldn't know
"I went with a 46" because it was the most TV with the features I wanted for the money I was willing to spend. Now, I am glad I didn't get much bigger. The chair I mainly use is about 7 feet away and the TV fills most of my field of view. Any bigger and I wouldn't be able to see the whole picture at once (the sitting in the front row of a movie theater effect). It is still plenty big to easily see from my kitchen too.
I went with the Class 6 because of the 4 HDMI ports more than anything. I upgraded from an older Toshiba CRT HDTV that had limited inputs and I was constantly trying to find creative ways to get the best picture from all of my sources with the limited inputs I had. Now that HDMI is more or less the standard, I wanted as many of those as possible. So far I have my digital cable box, PS3, and HD-DVD player all hooked up HDMI and I still have one left on the side for something else (hopefully a Wii).
The picture looks great. The 120mhz "auto-motion" looks amazing. Almost TOO real. It almost ruins movies as it makes you feel like you are right there on set it is so smooth. It kind of detracts from the ability to immerse yourself in the movie. You feel like you are watching a live play instead of a movie. I have been getting used to it though and if you want you can adjust it or turn it off completely. But it does make you think "wow, this picture is friggin GREAT!" BTW, CGI special effects can look REALLY cheesy with it. It just makes the CGI stand way out. So maybe turn it off for CGI heavy movies.
The contrast is great with deep, deep blacks. Awesome picture. Period.
The touch of color is different, but cool. 99% of the time you don't even notice it. If a lot of sunlight comes into the room it can stand out and IMO it breaks up the shiny black void look the TV otherwise has.
I dinged the sound a star based on other reviews. I use a surround sound and have the TV speakers turned off. I honestly have never heard them yet and really don't care what they sound like.
Lastly, my favorite, but probably the smallest feature. The swivel base. I don't mount my TV on the wall, I have it sitting on top of a TV stand with all my other home theater goodies in it. The seating is not the best for viewing at all possible seats in my place. The swivel base allows you to turn to TV to help others see it better if need be. It also allows me to access the back of the TV to play with the plugs and such for whatever reason very easily without fear of knocking it over. The swivel base is such a simple idea, but very handy. For those who don't want to swivel it. Then don't. It won't hurt anything. Why don't more TVs and monitors do this?
Overall, this TV is a winner."

What's great about it: Suburb picture, 120 Hz technology What's not so great: Limited aspect ratio options, stretch, zoom, etc. Remote NOT universal.
"For the money, this 46" Samsung is the best picture with 30,000:1 contrast ratio and a black level that is one of--if not THE--darkest of the industry. I saw this on display after searching for and comparing 46"-47" HDTVs for several months, and was VERY impressed with the technology when viewing others side--side, and with the 120 Hz motion for film/dvd replays. I must continue saying that once home and set up, we were absolutely blown away with the screen quality at the typical cable rez of 720p or 1080i, I wonder what it could do at full 1080p HD (satellite TV, etc.)!! The touch of color is a nice addition, and not obtrusive -- though not "the" selling point of this HDTV. The only drawback I find is the limited options to control output aspect ratios. There should be more options for stretch and incremental zooms. There's the typical UGLY "stretch" that results in deformed heads, and one "zoom" that is really too high a zoom level for most 4:3 shows. One or two more preset zoom levels, or an adjustable zoom level (e.g., "cinema zoom 1-9" on my 32" LG HDTV.) When Oh When will the industry get to ONE standard so we don't have to "fiddle" with the screen middle? Seems that with today's technology, we could make the zooming (for 4:3 signal output to a 16:9 screen) to an acceptable middle ground more automatic??"

What's great about it: Great picture, sound, design, and technology What's not so great: none
"This TV is a dream machine! The picture is so amazing that it's scary. Samsung really out did themselves with this model. Not only is the picture amazing, but it has a host of features that provide for great gaming, movie watching, and PC viewing. I had another HDTV with a MUCH lower contrast ratio and the difference is extremely noticable. I'm now having to re-watch all my Blu-ray and HD-DVD movies and re-play all my PS3 games just to see these how they were really meant to be seen, and I'm loving every minute of it! If you think you couldn't ever fall in love with a TV, buy this TV and let me know how you feel after that!"

What's great about it: Picture Quality is Amazing!!! What's not so great: Sound lacks bass, but still very good quality.
"You can never go wrong with a Samsung HDTV. This model (LN46A650) is by far the best bang for the buck. Using a Blueray player for DVD's is amazing. The 120hz works very well on HD sources. This makes movement look lifelike, and not jumpy. I love the presets since it saves every option for that video/audio source. Glare was a concern, but am very happy with how little glare it has, even though it has a glass front over the screen."

What's great about it: Great Picture - Ample Connections What's not so great: None
"I did a lot of research and cost comparisions before choosing the Samsung 46" 650 series LCD TV. This model has an abundance of features and a beautiful picture (one of the best I have ever seen when coupled with a Blu-Ray player). Movies transform into the look of live plays, and things have a 3-D look about them. Very impressive picture. I would recommend this TV to anyone that can afford one.
One amazing piece of technology."

What's great about it: Price/Picture, screen matte, A/V connections What's not so great: Audio
"Picture quality is outstanding. I looked at this TV and the LG Scarlet LG60. After a few HD football games and Nascar races over three weeks, I couldn't happier with the picture on this TV. The 120Hz is great for movies but not yet necessary for me since TWC only delivers their cable signal at 60Hz.
I was searching Google looking for a reason why the pause time was so great (3-4 seconds) while switching sources (it is also long when switching from SD channels to HD channels) from HDMI. Not a huge problem but it can be annoying.
Mine runs warm at the screen and it is on a stand with plenty of ventilation. Also, not a problem but it is noticeable. I really love the picture, it is second only to plasmas. The sound quality is a little lacking but I only use it half the time since I normally run my home theater.
One important thing to note that I did not see mentioned anywhere is that if you run HDMI from any source to the TV (cable box) then out to a receiver, the TV can only output 2.1 audio. I have an optical out on my Scientific Atlanta HD box but Time Warner only allows one choice - either HDMI or digital audio output. I love one HDMI cable covering all bases but I may need to find an alternative. I may be looking at a new receiver which processes HDMI audio. Not really needed but I love the fact that I have cut the cables around my TV from about 20 to 5."
