What's great about it: It is very cheap, and the audio quality is way better than ipods and other mp3s
What's not so great: nothing. Its what I expected and wanted..
"I had a lil problem with USPS communicated with best buy and they solved it the same day thanks. BTW I really liked the sound quality and battery life which are way better than the ipod counterpart.ciao!"

What's great about it: easy to use, sounds great, sleek looking, lot's of features.
What's not so great: small screen for videos.
"I love this MP3 player, it is easy to use, easy to upgrade storage, has an FM radio, and w/ the new slot radio feature, more options. If I had to be honest, I feel the screen, while bright & clear, is really just to small to enjoy a movie on, even one that would not require a "big screen". I DO like having the option though. I've had my 2GB for a close to 2yrs, upgraded to an 8GB (gave to 2 to my daughter) so far, the same, awesome. Plus you can't beat the features you get for the price. Worth a look."

Big disappointment

What's great about it: The earphones, and it bounces well on the street when thrown out of frustration.
What's not so great: It locked up randomly even with a fully charged battery.
"I purchased unit this both for the mp3 feature as well as its FM capability. All worked well for the first month. Then it started to seize up on a random basis not permitting any options to be selected. Then the FM feature failed. After its last lock-up I discovered it bounced well when thrown hard on the pavement. The best remaining features are the earphones: work every time and a good fit. Think I'll try a Zune."

"bought my wife,daughter and son sansa e260's 2years ago and they still work great so i decided to buy an mp3 player so i chose the sansa fuze 8g and i am very happy with my purchase, and it works just like the sansa e260's i bought 2 years ago!!! very easy to set-up and operate now i can take led zepplin and james brown everywhere i go!!!!!!!!!!!"

Stopped Working After 2 Months

What's great about it: Rhapsody compatible
What's not so great: Stopped working after two months
"I bought this because it was Rhapsody compatible and I LOVE RHAPSODY. If you have not tried it out, you should (that is unless you actually have a thing where you need to "own" the music). But I presume if you are reading this review it is because you use Rhapsody as well and are looking for a device for your on the go service.
I was generally pleased with the appearance and function of this device even though it is not as intuitive as the apple products. That said any loss in ease of operation was more than remedied by the value of the Rhapsody on the go compatibility. I was really let down when it stopped functioning after a 15 mile run a short two months after I purchased it. I would take it back but don't have a receipt - oh well. I would not recommend purchasing this item if you intend to wear it for working out, running or biking. Maybe ok if just going to be in car."

What's great about it: Very easy to download music on.
"I would to say that I am really happy with the sandisk sanza. I had done some research on ipod and mp3 player. I had all intention to buy the apple but when I came into the store the sale lady name Jennifer at the North Riverside Il best buy was very helpful in making me make my desicon on which mp3 player I wanted to buy. The sanza is small you dont have to worry about buying batteries for it. It came a rechargable batteries. I love the fact that you can add memory to it also. That is a major plus for me. The 8GB if great it did not take long for me to have to download my music from the computer at all. The only thing that I found I wish could change is that it could have had the touch screen, But other than that this product was wonderful."

What's great about it: Sound quality, battery life, ease of use.
What's not so great: Don't buy for video features, screen is small.
"When I upgraded to the 2010 Prius with the aux jack I decided it was time to get a good mp3 player but did not want to spend iPod $$. This is a fabulous solution. It syncs easily and the 8gb is expandable up to 16. I can't wait to get house speakers. I find I listen to more of the music I already had because it is so easy to use. I can't wait to do a road trip.
The quality on the video screen is good but the screen is small and I am over 50! Still, if I were going on a long plane trip I would probably load a movie or two to take with me (with my reading glasses). You can't go wrong with less than $100 for this product (plus about $30 +/- for car/house chargers)"

"For the money, this is a great player. Sounds good. Has enough features. Don't waste time with video, screen is to small. Screen is bright, clear. Sansa has come a long way with this player. Good for audible but I wish it had bookmarks."

What's not so great: necessity to convert all music to be compatible and not all music transfers afterwards, customer service is terrible!
"I have had a terrible time with this product. I originally had an Ipod but decided to give this a chance. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME! You have to convert all music to be compatible and after doing all of that then not all the music will transfer over. I have spent hours working on this! I called customer service for sansa after my music disappeared from my device after plugging it into my computer. The customer service rep did not have any of my information correct because of a language barrier and told me that he was on my device (which was impossible with the incorrect information which I repetitively tried to correct) and told me that 2/3 of my songs were missing because of corruption. He had no way of knowing this and told me that I would have to reset my device! Basically start over... again.
Also, the device scratches easily and does not have many good options on how to play through a car without a lot of static.
The few benefits of this device are that there is a way to play the radio and it looks like an older version of the ipod nano. The battery life is moderately long.
Go ahead and spend a little extra for a nano!"

What's not so great: The included headphones are so so..
"I love this thing. First of all when you buy this (as you should if you are the the market for an mp3 player) You need to go to Sansa to get the firmware update.
That will preclude any os problems. Buy a pair of upgraded headphones and this things rocks. I suggest that you do a little research on MP3s so you can get the finest out of this player..I find this thing sounds fabulous with 200-300 VBR or straight up 320 kps. Any player or device will sound horrible with a bad mp3 track...since I bought it I researched mp3s and how they work and am able to get the best out of my player and computer in playback. For the price this was the best option. I purchased an 8gb Micro sd card and the device currently holds just shy of 1700 songs, 8 short videos, 6 audio books, and I still have near 2gb to spare...The fact that you can expand the memory on the Fuze was one of the major selling points..I don't know about you but I prefer whole albums."

"i was a bit dissapointed by this product. The player practicaly lived in my pocket and yet in a matter of months the screen was so scratched it was hard to see. the player is good for music and the radio but not pictures or movies. I purchased a case for the player a few weeks after i got it because i could see the screen was getting worse. still, even after less than a year the screen was in terrible condition. also there is only one scroll speed. i put about 180 songs on it before this became a problem but after a couple thousand it was terrible. the screen has a habit of dying as well. i turned it on once and the screen was white. the music still played but i couldnt see what im doing. not at all the player i've been looking for."

"You can't find one better. It is very complete and not expensive. The fuze has radio w/ good reception with the ability to add presets. It has voice recording and radio recording. you cant worry about the memory because its expandible and it doesn't look cheap!!!! It's perfect."

"The Sansa Fuze is an easy to use mp3 player. The major downfall is the life span. I have had 2 of these and they both broke after a week or two. The first Fuze I had it would not turn on after 2 weeks. The second Fuze I had the screen stopped working(see photo). They preform really well, when they are working. Be careful when considering to buy one of these."

"This is my 2nd go round w/a Sansa and again I'm not dissapointed. I purchased the new ipod Nano (4th gen) and I wasn't impressed. I returned it and purchased the Fuze (which is what I should've done in the beginning) and needless to say I'm glad I did. As with my other Sansa (which conked out due to me dropping it) this is the best mp3 i've had. I will continue to buy the Sansa's and nothing else."

"The Rhapsody software is the link between the Fuze and my music. Once it was installed and updated, along with updating the Fuze player, the software would crash about two times out of every three uses. FYI, my computer runs XP with up-to-date service packs. So I took it back."

"This was actually a gift, and I love using it. Previously I had a Sansa 1G with a very small screen and no color. I love the graphical menu on this Sansa as well as the great sound. The player easily fits into a pocket or purse unlike some other 8G players. It also has a good battery life."

Sansa Works!

What's great about it: It's easy to use. As a non techie, I can find files and load them easily too.
What's not so great: no "docking station" charger/speaker system
"As a non tech mom, this is an easy to use system. I mainly listen to audio books and have found that loading them into the system is easy. I also have a cord that attaches it to the car stero system so I can continue the book indoors or where I go. It does not use a lot of power overnight when I listen to music to get to sleep. Charging is not zippy fast, but reasonable. Finding songs/albums is easy. The computer interface is easy to use.
BONUS: at night, the light from the face of it makes a nice flashlight if you drop something.
BUMMER: no speaker system /charger docking station"
