What's great about it: Everything, picture quality, easy to use, EVERYTHING
What's not so great: I wish it had black & white, sepia tone features, no big deal can do that when develop them
"This is my 3rd digital camera. I exchanged a Fujifilm for this and I am totally satisfied! I was kind of hesitant looking at the price tag but it's deifnately worth it. I took the camera to a Cincinnati Reds game and a Buckeyes game and both games we were way up in the bleachers and the zoom looks like we are right in front of the players. I am hoping to ge a lens for Christmas so we'll see how that goes. I would like an SLR but I like the size of this better."

"My boyfriend bought this camera for me on my birthday. I owned it for a week and I love it so far. The picture quality is great. Where can you get a good camera like this for a great price. I love every single shots I took especially the nightshots. I will be using this more on my kids school program. I LOVE IT."

What's great about it: Many features and ease of use. Great camera quality and fantastic pictures.
What's not so great: A bit pricey
"We had been in the market for a new camera for quite a while. After doing a lot of research we decided on the Sony Cybershot 9.1-Megapixel Digital Camera. It has tons of features, it's extremely easy to figure out (even without reading through the directions) and the picture quality is phenomenal.
You will need to purchase a memory stick because there is very little memory in the camera itself but for around 25 dollars we purchased a 4GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo and have much more storage space than we will probably ever use.
The camera is a bit on the pricey side but we are extremely pleased we chose this model and feel it was worth the extra money."

What's great about it: Nightshot, 15x Optical Zoom, Optical Zoom in video mode, Auto focus (during video mode as well)
What's not so great: Have yet to find out, till then, nothing bad about this camera. :)
"I really love this camera, amazing quality for the price, and superb noise reduction for a point-and-shoot camera. I was a little hesitant about getting this being I'm more of a Canon person, but wow, this camera was actually more than I expected. This camera is great for beginners and amateurs alike. I really love the tilt screen, very useful when you need it. So far I really can't find anything bad to say about this camera, other than when you're getting a direct shot at the sun, there's a big red lens glare in the way. it doesn't always happen though, and there's way to avoid it too. :)
Overall, an awesome camera, worth the price. :)"

What's not so great: sony warranty repair service
"Bought the Sony DSC-H50 for a 25th anniversary trip to the mountains. The pictures had a shiny glare on some of them which was coming from a metal flake under lens. Sent camera into sony techs for repair only to have it sent back with a loud popping noise when zooming in and out. Plus the video had a drop off jerk while zooming while in video mode. Have sent camera back to sony techs (4 Times) only to get a call back that there was nothing wrong."

"I just loved this camera. Very user friendly. the features allow me to take very clear memorable pictures of my childern doing the cute and silly things kids do. I went in for a smaller more compact camera also made by sony, but I loved how far I am able to zoom on items and the unpixilated pictures it takes."

"I bought this camera before travelling to Rome recently and I have been thorougly impressed with both the quality and the ease of use. I am not a professional photographer, but this camera is so good it makes me look like i know what i'm doing. Nice features for a relatively inexpensive camera - like the lcd viewer that tilts and built-in music to use when showing slideshows on your high-def tv. I bought the component video cable and the pics look fantastic on my Sony XBR 52" tv."

"I got this camera after trying it in the store and seeing how fast i could take pictures. It has a shutter speed area on the camera, u can take pictures click after click, no processing time, perfect for anyone with kids that move fast and its hard to catch them in a cute moment. LOVE THIS CAMERA. It also has a movie feature, love that, can store a lot of movie space. Also took a picture in a dark closet and it came out like it was day time. Takes very professional looking pictures, even for an ametour like me. Best camera i have every purchased! I would recommend this to a friend, it takes just as good of pictures as the 2K really expensive cameras. Even if in the store it is 379, they do give you the online price of 349, if you mention it. GREAT BUY."

What's great about it: Great quality pictures; fast response, easy menus

"This is my 5th (well 6th if you count the one I exchanged for this one) digital camera including the SLR I recently sold to my son because I got tired of lugging lenses around. I also own a Sony 5.1 MP, 12X optital focus Cybershot from a few years ago. Should have stuck with Sony to begin with but the "professional" reviews on the other camera were better than on this one. Duh. I like to take action shots at the races of the cars. Took the first camera to a test session the other day; didn't like the quality of the pictures so exchanged it for the H50. Went back yesterday and took more pictures. Great little camera! Very nice quality pictures even though I was even further away from the cars; good response time using the mulitiple shot setting. Liked the dial control when adjusting settings in manual mode because can see right on the screen what the changes will do to the picture. Very clear, crisp pictures even using the digital zoom a couple times which I normally don't do. Good color.
Only drawbacks I see are that it takes a special battery; I bought an extra. Will say I like the fact that the charger turns off once the battery is charged which is a good safety feature. Also the battery lasts a long time even using the LCD. I already had the memory card it takes from my other camera but would be nice if they used the same as most others. Not a big deal to me though. Also noticed that will have to take off the petal ring when doing shots using the flash as it is so big it blocks the flash. Came in handy out in the sun yesterday though.
Overall a great little camera and Best Buy price matched another stores price for me which helped with the price of the extra battery.
The pictures are one from the H50 and one from the other camera brand both of a similar scene in the same area of the track. Note I was further away when I took the picture with this H50 and still got a better picture."

"I got this camera for my birthday and am already in love with it. The quality is very detailed, even when it doesn't have to be! I especially like the Burst feature, because now I am able to take shots in motion without them being blurred. Great camera for the price. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone."

"I bought this camera not even a week ago, and I've been really busy but I've found time to use it, and I'm extremely impressed with my camera. I've had 2 other digital cameras; a 2 mp camera and a Kodak camera [real disappointment] I've been looking for a good camera for a while, I had my eyes set on a Nikon, but I also saw this camera and the features in this camera made my mind change. I went to my local best buy to try out this camera and I instantly fell in love with it, and I was so excited for buying it a couple days after that. I had a little confusion with trying to work the B&W and such but I figured it out. I already had a super skinny camera, and everyone seems to have super skinny cameras and I wanted a change and the size of this camera is perfect. The only thing that was a bummer to me was the price [not horribly expensive but it was enough!] and that I had to buy a memory stick, though I got a great deal on a 4 gb one which works swell. I love using this camera, it's not too heavy, not too light, it makes me feel secure and makes it seem like I won't drop it, which is a good thing. I love the video quality on this camera too, and that I can plug my camera into the TV and watch it!! :) Overall, I'm very happy on my purchase and I'm glad I finally picked this one after searching for so long. :)"

What's not so great: It is larger than most cameras on the market, but it takes remarkable pictures and has outstanding zoom features!
"I have never owned a camera before. This camera was purchased for my Wedding-moon in Jamaica and was completely worth the money. It has a decent video recording feature and simple tabs to determine the kind of photo that you are taking. The EASY function seemed to get the job done on most normal photo opportunities. The advanced features took some great sunsets, ocean, and landscape scenes. The pictures my father took with it of our wedding we questioned at Wal-Mart as being professional (the camera was on the EASY setting and it was his first time handling the camera!).
If you don't mind the size and the price tag, I highly recommend this item."

"Great camera, we have enjoyed using this camera with family, classic car and special events photos. Easy to use and excellent picture quality. Smile recognition a neat little feature to have and of course the use of the remote an added plus. I have had a couple of the Sony Cybershot camera's which with the use of the feature enriched options have produced quality pictures and great reliability. A con was the purchase of the Sony additional lenses that we found to be very expensive.
The quality of this Sony product has allowed us to add the name brand Sony in our home with the Sony VIO Multi Media desk top and lap top computers. Would recommend the DSC-H50 camera to anyone wanting to shoot great pictures and play with a feature enriched product."

What's great about it: Easy to use
"I bought this camera to replace a smaller pocket size one. Since I have trouble seeing close up, I wanted a camera that had both a view finder and a large LCD distplay. This camera did a great job. I was going out west and needed a camera I could take wildlife shots with. I found that I could not easily see to take action shots like wildlife without a viewfinder. The 15 times optical zoom combined with the digital zoom make for some amazing photos. Features like the automatic slide show and smile technology have been great."
