What's great about it: Crisp, Clear picture makes me feel all warm inside What's not so great: ITS HUGE!!!! Make room in your tower for this sucker
"I went into Best Buy planning on buying a LCD flatpanel, but I decided that I should go for graphics so later I can get a flat panel and get the best out of it. I was looking at ATI Radeon 512 and I almost made it out of the store with it, then I second guessed myself and decided to look at the other cards on the display. I stumbled upon this one, nice packaging thought I'd compare the specs. Well it had everything as the ATI one I was looking at had, plus SLI and HD 1080p display support. I preferred the 1080p so I went down the PNY road to eye-stunning clarity that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I turn on my tower. Just be ready to move some cables around in your tower to make room for this big mama."
Thank you PNY

What's great about it: Amazing Speed in my HP Pavilion Elite What's not so great: Was a hard fit, Had to replace Power Supply
"Great Performer (COD5, Fallout3, NFS Undercover all Full Textured, Some ungodly res of 16xx x 12xx).
My HP M9040N, came as a Media Center system with an ASUS GeForce 8400GS. So, PSU only 300W, Small Case, Lots of Extra wires, etc.
Replaced Power Supply with BFG 550W Power Supply. Bit of a tough install(because of case and component location), but doable.
Card is a bit long, but did fit, all in all both components took about 40 min to install(taking care not to rip any of the thinner wires in the case). PSU was most of the install.
But from there, power on, installed drivers that came with the card, rebooted, and that was it.
Went from 3.1 Aero 4.2 Gaming and Business
to 5.9 Aero 5.9 Gaming and Business
Lowest Rating on my System is now the memory at 5.5
I have only tested the games for a few minutes, but was in the #$%$% on COD5 for a few minutes with now frame rate issues.
I'd like to thank others that posted their ratings here. Your postings were the final factor in which card I bought.
Final Word, If you need a Graphics Card and are on a budget, this card will rock it for you!"

What's great about it: Everything listed above/super quiet What's not so great: Nothing
"Phenomenal card for the price...most ATI cards are way overpriced, this card matches up to most rival cards. Quiet, cheap, slick (a little long but oh well). Plays Left 4 Dead perfectly on all high settings/resolution. Buy this card."

What's great about it: Great Graphics, Cheap Price, Works perfectly, a must Buy! What's not so great: Kind of long and might need to upgrade power supply, both minor issues, still a great buy!
"I bought this when it was on sale for $119.99 and it is worth every penny! I just had intergrated graphics on my HP Pavilion and now I will never look back. I can finally play all my games with setting on high! These games include COD4, Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic, GTA3, and more. Graphic quality is great and it does not get to hot staying between 44 and 58 C. This is a must buy if on sale and is worth it to play most games out there today.
There are a few things people might consider negitive but I considered them minor. The Card measures 9 1/2 inches long so make sure you have enough room in your case. Also if you have the manufacture Power Supply in your computer you might want to upgrade to at least 400 watts. I bought a 600 watt PSU for my system because I am planning to upgrade futher in the future.
So overall, this is a great Graphics card for the price and function perfectly. A must buy if you do not need to best (and sometimes overpriced) Graphics card on the market, you will not be disappointed."

What's great about it: Everything! What's not so great: Nothing!
"I just replaced my ATI Radeon X1600PRO as it couldn't handle Fallout 3 with the highest settings and the fan on it sounded overworked. This card is so much better it's astounding! I can use all the highest settings and it works great! You do need to make sure you have room in your box as this card is a staggering ten inches long. You also should make sure you have a good power supply, preferablly made for gaming, with a minimum of 430 Truepower watts, the power supply also needs to have a six pin PCI-E connector to hook up to the card. Overall a GREAT price, this card is solid. Easy to install and easy to set up the drivers, etc. on the system. Thanks PNY and Best Buy!"

What's great about it: Good bang for your buck, can run all the games out right now What's not so great: Not the best, pretty long (10 inches)
"A good card for the price, runs my games smoothly. COD 4, Crysis Warhead, Crysis, World in Conflict, and many other titles run well on this card. Doesn't max out Crysis, and it may max out COD 4, but I don't know. This card stays cool, and runs great for me. Just make sure you have the right PSU and room in your case!"
"When I give a product a five I mean it. This graphics card will run anything you throw at it on very high and high. I average around 45-55 fps on all the shooters like COD 4, unreal tournament. Even crysis plays flawlessly on high, but the resolution is lower. All I can say is that you won't be disappointed. I however am selfish and I wanted more so I overclocked just a smidge. Oh my god, my graphics card easily beat and 8800gt or gts and was rivaling the 9800 gt. This cards cooling is good but you might want to turn the fan up a little and buy a pci fan. I have done both and on idle the card is around 55 and 75 load which is very good for a high end card. A must buy."
"This card is amazing! I put this one in to replace my integrated NVIDIA 6100 and I saw results instantly!!! I can finally play my games! Flight Simulator X on maxed settings works amazingly! Getting about 20-30 FPS in most dense areas and up to 60 FPS in open areas! Oblivion works perfect too! I downloaded the demo for Crysis just for a test and maxed out settings and it worked just fine! I definitely recommend this card to anyone who wants to play hardcore games...you won't be disappointed!"
What's great about it: Price, Ease of Installation, Graphic Quality What's not so great: None so Far
"This was exactally what I needed to update my desktop. I had a HP Pavillion from 2005 with an integrated graphics card. This PNY NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 512MB is by far the best purchase related to my computer that I have ever bought. The frame rates on my games have gone way way up. (For example, World of Warcraft never goes below 30 fps, has an average of 48 fps, and maxes out at 60 fps indoors, and these are all with the highest graphic settings on).
Very very impressed with this graphics card, and the price is fantastic."
What's great about it: Lets you play a vast number of 3D applications. What's not so great: None
"From the Atari anniversary compilation to Crysis this great video card will perform very well at a great price. Games such as Stalker, Dirt, Call of Duty 4, Gothic 3, Reident Evil 4, Call of Juarez, Code of Honor, Two Worlds, Starship Troopers, Crysis ect.....can be pushed to the max for visually stunning gameplay. Crysis can be played on very highest settings, however just make sure you have a Core 2 Duo or Quad Core, P4 wont cut it. All titles mentioned were tested with a single 9600gt on a P4 3.00ghz, Imagine what a modern desktop could do. Overall, for those who have a 3-4 year old computer and want to play some really neat games, this is a great investment."

"This graphics card is amazing. I'm running WoW, Oblivion, Dawn of War, and Hellgate: London all at maxed settings at 1440x900 Flawless. I'm upgrading from the onboard that came in my HP pavilion a6414f desktop which had a vista rating of 3.0. Now it's at 5.9! Very happy with this product and the price that it is!"

What's great about it: Excellent performance for the price, SLI performance outperforms most cards What's not so great: cooler looks old school and does not look like other 9600 gt cards from other brands
"This is an excellent card, I tested this card through SLI with a couple of games like Call of Duty 4, Half Life 2(lost coast), Lost Planet and it pretty much out performs 8800 gtx and 9800 gtx. I used to own both the 8800 and 9800 gtx, I upgraded from the 8800 to the 9800 thinking it would be better since it has more stream line processors. Oh was that a mistake! So I gave SLI a shot with the 2 9600s and it pretty much put out on an average 10 more frames on those games i used for testing. I highly recommend this card if you are going for SLI and is looking for something better than the 9800 gtx."

What's great about it: price, perfomance What's not so great: none as of yet
"The card i had before this was a visiontek hd 2600 xt 512 mb gdd3. Actually a decent lil card, but this pny card blows that one out the water. For my test i downloaded the demos for crysis and call of duty 4, as well as a few older games.
hd 2600xt:
call of duty 4: res. 800 x 600, everthying medium, 35-40 fps
crysis: res. 800 x 600, everthying medium, 20-25 fps
