What's great about it: excellent for backup & storage
What's not so great: short cord
"Cons- short cord when using with desk top.
( Fix- extention USB cord little pricey unless you shop around.Sooner or later hopfully BB will get reasonable priced cables in order to switch from desktop to laptop.)
Pros-works great! I chose to not use the backup program sent along & reformatted to NTFS (easy with a little PC knowledge) Can use Backup from Vista -ends up a Zip drive /commpressed.
use safely remove hardware when uninstalling so it is safe for carrying/transport,I haven't broke it - so this is sturdy!!!

"BOUGHT THIS TO CLEAR MY LAPTOPS HARD DRIVE. I STORE MOSTLY MOVIES AND TV SHOWS ON IT AND IT HASNT LOST ANYTHING. I BOUGHT IT ON SALE FOR $99 SO ITS WAY WORTH IT. SLIMER THAN MOST HD IVE SEEN ALL IN ALL ITS A GOOD DEAL."

What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: temperamental with my old desktop PC (Pentium3)
"This has performed super-reliably, not only to back up stuff, but to move mp3s directly from storage through my pc laptop to its optical drive. Very pleased. Only con may be due to my old P3 desktop and not the drive itself--on the occasions my old computer (through high-speed USB card) does connect up properly, the connection isn't always sustained for the complete transfer of data."

Great storage

What's great about it: its a hard drive? Long as it stores what I want its all good!
What's not so great: nothing lost so far
"I'm an on the go person with work and college. I carry my camera's everywhere and if I'm bringing the laptop my hard drive is there too. I can't say I'm completely gentle with my stuff moving around so much but this hard drive for me has worked perfectly. I always store backup's of my photo's and couple movies.
Not only that it matches my toshiba X205-sli laptop!
I used to be a huge western digital HD guy till I tried out this toshiba couple months ago.
So if fyou need a good slimming portble hard drive I highly recommend getting this one or anyone from Toshiba :o)"

GREAT HARD DRIVE!

What's not so great: short usb connection
"I just read the reviews and had to say I didn't have problems with ad-ware or spy-ware. I have a great program that would have caught it too. I bought this on a sale price for $99.99 and it was the best purchase I have made. I use it to back up everything and it fits very well in my fire/water proof box. It is good for everyday use as well. I have a Western Digital as well and it requires power so I connected it to my DVR and use it to record more programs. This one runs off of my laptop power. I couldn't be happier with it. It copied everything to it so fast, I didn't have to wait a half hour to transfer my 10+ gig picture folder like I did with the Western Digital. Thanks Toshiba!"

Watch Out

What's great about it: Small, Lightweight, USB Powered
What's not so great: USB conecter too short, Adware found
"I bought this product based on the possitive reviews found around the internet. It appears that Seagate and Western Digital quality have gotten worse the past few years. It was nice to find a new product by a reputable company plus a three year waranty. This thng works great and is very fast considering 5400 RPM. Windows XP immediatlely reconized the drive and was ready to go. BUT WAIT. Don't install the backup software that they include on the drive. It has built in spyware / adware they use for tracking your moves and sending you unwanted ads. This is so disappointing to find another company trying to spy our movements. For this reason I DO NOT recommend the product."

"I bought this so I could have a backup for my Macbook Pro for when I run Windows XP in Boot Camp. The Mac instantly recognized it for Time Machine. It is very quiet and does not heat up at all. I just hope it can take a beating."
