What's great about it: No dumb software! set up in 5 secs total! laser is so precise
What's not so great: nothing!

"This is a great mouse. The accuracy of the laser far surpasses optical mice. The only little thing that might bug some people is the forward and back buttons. You might accidentally hit them once in a while but do not let this sway you!! Get this mouse!"

What's great about it: Easy to set up, Buttons placed just right.
What's not so great: Not Bluetooth, otherwise it would be perfect.

"It is a big sized mouse, which I personally like. The buttons are placed in a way that you do not 'trip' over them when using an I-Mac. As for using it on a PC, it is just as fantastic. The only drawback is that it isn't bluetooth. If it was I would consider this a prefect mouse."

What's great about it: Tiny little usb transceiver.
What's not so great: no problems found yet.

"Very nice mouse. I've seen some mixed reviews from other people on this site and others for this mouse; but so far, I haven't had a single problem with it.

The power on/'off button on bottom of mouse is a nice touch, very handy if you aren't going to use your system for an extended period of time.

I'm using it in Ubuntu 8.10 x64.

Being able to program the buttons would be nice, but Logitech doesn't make drivers for Linux. :(

Very happy with mouse so far, I'm using rechargable batteries of course.

This mouse and the Logitech iluminated keyboard replace a MS wireless 1000 desktop set."

What's great about it: Back/forward buttons
What's not so great: Horrible battery life, bad reciever

"This mouse worked great for about three months, and OK for another three before I had to go back to my old mouse. The problems centered around the receiver. At first, i could change the batteries in the mouse, and it would work better, but after while I was changing them daily with no result. The pointer would jump or just get stuck in certain areas and not move despite my best efforts.
Despite the price, stay away from this one."

What's great about it: Cordless, easy to use
What's not so great: Little sensitive, little pricey

"This seems to be a great mouse. It does have a couple of little quirks. It seems to be very sensitive at times. I was using a Microsoft optical mouse, so, perhaps it's the difference between an optical & a laser mouse. Also, it seems to stay on when your system is powered off.

Perhaps these are things tha can be fixed if I actually read the manual.

Overall, a good product & I would recommend."

What's great about it: great mouse like most Logitech
What's not so great: button fit

"Great product that I cant use, ended up taking it back. I have long fingers and the mouse does fit, but there is a 'lip' at the bottom of the right/left keys that hits the fingers. I could probably still use it but its makes me feel like i'm using a laptop mouse."

What's great about it: small, nice precision, small USB connector
What's not so great: Battery dies suddenly

"Logitech has always made great products, and this mouse is no exception. The USB antenna / connector is small and unobstusive and the mouse is a nice size. It will fit in a laptop bag easily. The mouse will track on any surface and is very precise. The mouse is also very sturdy and the buttons work well. Battery life is what you would expect - the more you use the faster it drains. But you can go months. But I will say that there is no real warning that the battery is low. The mouse will work and then it suddenly stops. Great product overall."

"I love the freedom of this cordless mouse, nro mouse pad, setting my own functions for buttons. I can't imaginee how to improve it except maybe forever batteries. (smile)"

What's great about it: Forward/back buttons
What's not so great: a little heavy

"I had a logitech mx310 corded, but it's old and slow on my new laoptop but it worked great on my old win98se desktop. It's a bit heavy with 2 AA batteries. I wish it was 1 battery or 2 AAA like the nano. The mini receiver works good on my laptop, but it sticks out 1 3/4 inches(I only have USB on the sides), I wish this had a smaller receiver like on the logitech nano notebook mouse, but on that one the back/forward buttons are different. I like the opposite sides back/forward. They are larger and a little lower than the mx310 mouse and press easier, sometimes too easy. It took 7 hrs with dial up to download software, which I doubt I will ever need since the mouse works fine by just plugging in the mini receiver. It does not work without the receiver. Until I can get a similiar mouse with a smaller receiver I will stick with this, but its not a big deal and I do like logitech mice. Overall I am happy and would not trade it for anything else currently on the market."

"I adore my wireless mouse. I have a macbook and I would die if I had to use the little touch screen all the time. This even glides nicely on the arm of my recliner!"

Best mouse I've ever used! 07/23/2008

What's great about it: Great value, good battery life, easy connectivity
What's not so great: Hard to reach on button, poorly placed back button

"A great mouse, the Logitech LX8 has given me no major troubles. It is a great value (being one of the cheaper laser mouses), has a great battery life, easy connectivity, and good technology. The mouse wheel, right click, and left click all work great as well.
The only cons I found with the mouse where that the on button on the underside of the mouse is small and can only be pressed with the very tip of the finger, and on occasion, I press the back button with my thumb on accident since it is located where I grip the mouse. These problems are easily overlooked, and the mouse works great for gaming or regular applications. Best mouse I have ever used."

What's great about it: smooth, fast, convenient

"This little Logitech mouse, is great! I know that there are more expensive mice out there, but this mouse works just fine. It's quick, comfortable to hold, doesn't snag on worksurfaces, but glides. Comfy rubber buttons click quickly, and effectively. For users who want a good wireless mouse, for a good, cheap price; I definitely recommend the Logitech LX8."

"I have 6 PC's and use the old logitec laser unit on all but the newest. I 've tried the LX8 and it is as good if not better. I think is hard to improve on the old model, except for the wires feature."
