I've waited to write this review until I had used the appliance long enough to really know. I've had it now for over a year and I absolutely love this refrigerator! I had a side-by-side fridge before and I didn't know what I was missing. I can put so much more in this fridge, and it's organized and convenient. The crisper drawers keep food fresh much longer. The one long shallow drawer opens wide open for very easy access and holds a ton of produce! The controls on the outside of the door are very easy to use, I like having only one paddle for either ice or water, the ice-maker always works like it's supposed to. One review that I read on this fridge harped on how loud the ice was when dropping, and it is fairly loud, but it's not that often and it really isn't that noticeable. And when you consider how absolutely wonderful the fridge is, the little bit of ice noise seems rather petty. Overall, I really couldn't be much happier with this fridge!
What's great about it: Everything!
What's not so great: Nothing!

So far after a month the unit has performed as it should. The only drawback is the sound of the ice dropping which is pretty loud. Ergonomically the unit is excellent and exceeds my expectations. The price was several hundred less than a comparable LG. My only complaint is the line graining on the handles. Looks like there may have been some scratches and someone at the factory manually blended them out which is noticeable

We've owned the refrigerator for several weeks. Love the style, lights and the stainless. It has taken some time to get used to the way we store our food but that all worked out. Have not tried the water or icemaker yet because of the following issue. The disapointing part of the purchase is that although we researched the refrig extensively, we found the refrig width actually wider than the spec of 35.875". We found the spec incorrect. Our opening is slightly larger than 36" all the way up and down, however the refrigerator bows in the middle just enough that it would not fit into the opening we have. We've been forced to contact a cabinet maker to widen the opening and rework the hardwood floor. Looking forard to tonight when we move the refrig into the widened opening and hook up the water.
What's great about it: The looks
What's not so great: The dimensional spec sheet

After two years of research and comparison shopping, we decided on this refrigerator/freezer and our only regret is waiting so long to make the purchase. The freezer is roomier than it appears in the photos and the refrigerator seems to hold twice as much as our side by side. Our produce and deli products remain fresh days longer and that is a welcome savings.
What's great about it: amount of room, over-all great performance
What's not so great: ice and water dispenser area spots easily

My husband and I bought it when BestBuy was having a fantastic sale. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't have been able to buy it-the price is a little high normally. It looks great, performs great, and has tons of room inside. We love it!

We've had the fridge for almost two years. We have had to have it repaired twice. Once for a leak within the warranty period and once to have the dead ice maker replaced at about 18 months. The ice maker is really poorly made with plastic parts. The new replacement has metal parts so maybe in the last two years Samsung has upgraded the quality. It's worth checking. It was expensive to replace.
The ice maker takes up very little room, but also produces very little ice. It will quickly run out after filling 4-5 cups. The ice maker is loud and there's always one ice cube that tries to escape.
On a positive side, the capacity is amazing. It really holds a lot of stuf and I love the way the doors, drawers and shelves are configured. Even at holiday time I'm able to fit everything in this fridge. The features are great. This is a really impressive fridge but it is really expensive. We love it and would probably buy it again, but weigh your options and make sure you are willing to pay the price.

We never had a bottom feezer, but we will from now on. The Stainless coating is very good at hidding finger prints

We just purchased this fridge a month or two ago and we have absolutely loved it. I won't bother to go over all the different features, but I will say this, they all work exceptionally well. This is a Great fridge we have really been pleased

OK so far, had only for 60 days. Haven't completely calibrated freezer temp and motor a bit loud following door open/close

Shopped for 6 months comparing various brands and models and this came out on top for features, convenience, space and appearance. The clincher was the Black Friday sale inclusion of this model. That made it a no-brainer. Well pleased with the installation from BB; courteous, timely and efficient. Since then, nothing but satisfaction. The only thing that dings it the half star is the gray color on the sides. My old unit had black as the side/top color and it went better with my kitchen; the gray is OK, but a bit neutral (aka bland). If you can get it on sale, it is a steal; if not, still a great value for the money. Oh yes, the small icemaker? Hasnt been a problem, but we dont entertain much or have a large family, so cant really say much, other than it is large enough for us so far.
What's great about it: Size, interior layout, convenience for storage of bulky items
What's not so great: Bland gray side colors on the SS model

This refrigerator has tons of room. I like the roomy interior, door alarm, adjustable shelves, ice/water on front of door and the three drawer compartments. The adjustable shelves make this refrigerator very versatile. We had a little trouble (had to take off refrigerator/freezer doors) getting it through the doors in our house because the refrigerator is so big but are glad we went through the extra effort.
What's great about it: Largest interior and adjustable shelves.
What's not so great: Door alarm is not very loud.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a BIG unit -- make sure you have necessary room in your kitchen. Biggest complaint is with the water/ice dispenser. This is simply poor design. It is hard to use without spills given the angular design of the recess on the front door and the water spout. You will see what I mean if you look at the unit closely. Going in your container has to be pitched and the water shoots back toward the back side of your glass instead of straight down. Residual ice also ends up on the floor when withdrawing your glass also becasue of this silly angle design. We're used to it now but guests using It for the first time are sometimes surprised. It would also have been nice to see the large stow tray inside have a flap which would allow access without having to open both doors to pull the tray out. Otherwise no problems to date.
What's great about it: Roomy unit
What's not so great: Water/Ice Dispenser

Very roomy and easy to access all options..this is a very quality frig..we could have purchased a frig for $999 but all were very cheap looking and doors felt weak.. a sale price of $1999.99 was great.. im not sure what "all" of these other people are taking about the noisy ice maker??? im guessing if you want Samsung to charge another $500 they can make it sound proof? i would recommend this item to any one..
What's great about it: french doors and lots of room
What's not so great: water in door does let a drop or two fall...but just keep your glass there for 1 or 2 seconds..problem soloved

I purchased this refrigerator a little over a year ago. My problems first started with the ice maker. It never worked. It would make the ice but the ice would not dispense. It took them about 3 service calls to get it right.
Now it's not cooling (top or bottom). I had to clean the refrigerator and freezer out completely and unplug it and WAIT until I can get someone out to service it. The manual says it comes with a 5 year warranty but you still have to pay for the service call. I decided to use my own home warranty to get it fixed. I have researched this and a lot of people have the same cooling problem.
I'm very loyal to Samsung products (TVs, washer, dryer, stove, microwave, laptop) and I must say I'm starting to regret it. I'm not happy about this at all.
It's no telling how long it will take to get my fridge up and running again and not to mention the cost of replacing all my food. Merry Christmas to me.

I LOVE the french door and bottom freezer drawer. I could not believe how much more storage I had. I am VERY HAPPY with this Samsung. I love all the features it has. There are only two things that seem to be a problem. One is that the water dispenser/ice dispenser in my opion was put in by some crazy person - don't know what they were thinking. The water shoots back at a wierd angle. It is difficult to fill a baby bottle, water bottle or even a coffee pot. It makes a water mess... however, you can master this once you become skilled at it. It takes time, patience and practice. The second problem is that I had some meat on the bottom shelf thawing out and when it did it leaked blood on the bottom shelf. It got down under the glass and I cannot for the life of me find a way to get under there to clean it.
What's great about it: the room
What's not so great: water dispenser - hard to master

We had this installed a couple weeks ago and so far it has been great. We got rid of a Maytag 26.5 side by side that we had for 11 years and we thought that one had a lot of room. This one has much more useable space. I love how it can be configured so many ways to accommodate different size items.
The temperature controlled slide out drawer also works very well. You don't have to have the doors all the way open to slide out the drawer. This was a big plus for us, and one of the reasons we chose Samsung over LG. We have set the drawer for chilled and keep our meats and cheese in it. It works great and has plenty of room.
The humidity drawers also seem to work well. Big surprise, because I have never had a fridge work well in this regard.
The freezer poses a little bit of a challenge since we are not used to a bottom freezer, but I think that is just us getting used to it.
Temperature is maintained properly. My only real complaint is when crushed ice is dispensed it tends to splatter a bit and make a mess on the stainless.
If anything changes I will report back.
What's great about it: Lots of configurable space
What's not so great: Crushed ice makes a splatter

Had this fridge about a month and don't really have any complaints. I don't understand complaints about the icemaker. We're a family of 5 and we have never ran out of ice. I did run a full size dedicated fitting off my water line and not just that little pin hole thing. I also used a full size braided stainless steel hose instead of the small flimsy plastic lines, so maybe this made a difference. Ice cubes are a nice size and it always has ice. The water does spray back a little but I haven't found that to be an issue. Just put your glass all the way to the top and there is no problem. Love the deli drawer, that is a nice feature. And the flip up shelf is nice for putting tall items in and the sliding shelf is nice for the same reason. I can put a full size pot right in the fridge by just sliding the shelf back. The slides on the freezer seem a little odd....like one side wants to stop before the other but it's nothing alarming. I got the fridge as an open item at Best Buy for $1500 so I am really happy with it for that price.
What's great about it: Roomy, slick looking
What's not so great: I am praying the electronic temp controls never break

Love the size of the fridge for price (on sale $2,135). We have no issus with the way it works. It doesn't freeze stuff in the top part like other models do.
Just watch out for the water dispenser. It is tilted and aims at the back so you have to check placement of your cup or you will have a mess-forget about filling a bottle there is just no way with the angle of spray and the size of the area.
Bottom drawer has a habit of not closing all the way. You always have to make sure it is shut.
Due to the curve of the doors it is impossilbe to get this fridge in the house with the doors or the drawer in. You have to take off all the doors(3) to make it work It is a pain to get the bottom drawer back in.
Collects finger prints like crazy. Buy some cleaner. Also my husband said to make sure you buy the extra water line due to the fact that what it comes with is very short!
