What's great about it: Very Fast, Nice Design, Great Speakers, Built-In Webcam
What's not so great: Scratches Easily

"This computer is by far the best one that I have ever seen or used! It is very fast, and is durable while still having a nice design all around. The only problem that I have noticed is that it scratches easily, but in my opinion it is worth it because it is up and running in less than 30 seconds, and shuts down in less than 5 seconds from clicking the shutdown button (just to give you a glimpse of the speed). I love the built-in webcam, because it has quality, and makes it easy to videochat! It is an amazing computer."

What's great about it: the price is a little high, but for that price you would expect it to be the best computer. And it is!!!
What's not so great: I haven't had any problems with it so far

What's great about it: Everything. So easy to use, doesn't freeze or crash.
What's not so great: Nothing

"I bought this machine 4 months ago and it has been the best purchase I have ever made. I had a dell desktop that was 1 year old and had nothing but problems with it. So i decided to switch to an Apple. I was worried about the transition from PC to Mac, but after playing around for a few hours it was so simple and the Mac OS made so much more sense than windows. It is so fast too. I turn it on and within 15 seconds its ready to go. I no longer have to worry about antivirus software, firewall software, spyware software. And even better, no more running disk cleanup or disk defragmenting. It just works! Everytime I use it, flawlessly. Applecare is unbelievable. All phone calls are routed within north america and the customer service is second to none. I highly recommend any Apple product."

What's great about it: EVERYTHING!!
What's not so great: A little pricey but its totally worth it!

"I have been a PC user all my life. I had so many problems with it everyone told me to get a mac. I didnt understand why! So my laptop broke and decided to get a new one....and I saw the macs at best buy. So I went online and looked at all the customer reviews and everyone loved it so I went to best buy and bought it!!! Im so glad I did!! I will never buy a PC again!

What's great about it: Long battery life, excellent software bundled (iLife & Time Machine), built in webcam, very stylish, great screen
What's not so great: A bit on the pricey side, crashes like any computer (but less so than my WinXP).

"I purchased this MacBook Pro for work and have enjoyed using it for the past few months. Out of the box, it provides some great software to help you create and edit movies (iMovie), organize and make basic changes to your digital photos (iPhoto), create music (GarageBand), and a super simple way to keep your MacBook backed up (TimeMachine).
Of all these great apps, TimeMachine is the most unique and useful. It does require a second, external hard drive to back up to, but once the simple setup is done, it keeps your entire system backed up without any input from you. It beats any other backup app I've ever used for my Windows computers.
iPhoto and iMovie make organizing your photos really quick and easy. Both apps allow for easy posting of your completed photos or movies to the web, including quick posting of your videos to YouTube.
The MacBook itself has a lot of great features too like the backlit keyboard, excellent LED screen, pretty decent built-in speakers, and the multi touch, touch pad has proven to be a very useful and intuitive way of moving around pages and applications. How did I ever live without it?!
If you're in the market for a new laptop, I'd definitely consider the MacBook Pro due to it's innovative and stylish design, excellent screen and image quality and wide array of user friendly software you get right out of the box."

What's great about it: Super small and light, easy to use
What's not so great: None

"This has been a great laptop. I was hesitant at first to spend this much money on a laptop but it has been awesome. All of the other students came walking in with these monster PC's and the took up their entire desks. This has been very easy to use and is much more user friendly than any PC I have used. Was not very hard to convert to using Apple software or Microsoft office for Mac.

A great purchase and I would recommend it to anybody looking at a convenient and easy to use laptop."

What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Don't want to put it down

"I started as using computers with a mac, maybe twenty years ago,but was disappointed becasue of the limitations it had in terms of compatibility with othar products. This was the reason a turned to PCs a few years later. I have a great pc now and was happy until I bought this computer for my son, who's started film school. I don't want anything to do with my computer anymore. Any chance I get to get my hands on this Mac, I ask him if I can use it. I absolutely love this computer. Only for the fact that it is much more expensive, still, than buying a pc, Macs are wonderful. I wiss I had another $2500 to spare in order to buy one for myself. I truly love this computer. I wish more people had the experience that I've had with a mac.

What's great about it: Better Operation System. Comes with over $800 worth of software, no virues, completely compatible with Windows xp/vista
What's not so great: Pros continued: Supports Microsoft office, 5-6 hrs of battery life, light weight, great parts, really fast! I love it!

"I have no con's for my macbook pro.
It's simply awesome and I just love it.
It's got Leopard for an operating system instead of XP/Vista (however you can create a partition and run either) and the it doesn't crash, or get viruses saving me a $150 a year on antivirus and antispyware. (If you buy a PC you have to get that stuff otherwise you're setting yourself up for about a $300 repair. I talk from experience)
It comes with a lot of software like Iphoto, Imovie and Garageband that I love to use. I'm a musician and love to record with Garageband. I also use Imovie and Aperture HD for video editing music videos and live performances. It's really simple and easy to use. The macbook pro also comes with Safari which is the fastest web broswer, it beats internet explorer and firefox handsdown, AND I dont get any annoying popups. The mac also comes with Mail, Ichat, Photobooth and Itunes that i use quite freuently.
Now about hardware. It comes with one of the best processors Intel has out right now. The Intel Core2Duo. It's a very effient processor, fast and runs cool and quiet. It also allows the computer to maintain 5-6 hrs of battery life. My macbook has 2 gbs of ram in it. Which might make you wonder how the mac is supposed to be faster than a PC and only have 2 gbs of ram when P(ieces) of C(rap) have 3 to 4 gbs on them. Well each gb of ram on Mac is equivalent to 2.5 gbs of ram on PC. So essentially i bought a computer with 5 gbs of ram. (And the Best Buy Store i bought it from was doing a promotion where they optimize the computer and upgrade it to 4 gbs of ram for $200! That was a heck a deal which i couldn't pass up so I did it. 4GB of high quality ram will cost you well over $200.) So now my mac has 4gbs of ram, way more than I need. It's overkill, BUT I have the most BA computer of anyone I know right now, and that justifies it for me. I could sit here and write for hours and hours about my mac because it's that freaking awesome, and so is Best Buy for hooking me up with 18 months no interest financing!!, but my fingers hurt so I'm going to stop typing now.
BUY A MAC, YOU'LL LOVE IT!"

What's not so great: Does get a bit warm during heavy usage

"Well worth the steep price you pay to get it. OS X is fairly easy to learn if you're coming from the Windows side of the equation. Boot up time is ridiculously quick and I'm surfing the web literally 20 seconds after powering on. I like the fact that you can run both Windows and OS X on the laptop. Highly recommended."
