"the sniper mission was so much fun, i played it over and over. veteran is fun, and not insanely hard. the hidden laptop cheats are hella fun too. i would buy WaW though, just more updated."

What's not so great: It is too easy to kill someone online. The maps are too small. The guns are too good. CoD WaW is 50 times better.

What's great about it: Good weapon detail. Locations. Fire fights
What's not so great: No enough missions. Only online does it get really fun.
"Enjoyed the opening credits. Excellent gameplay. Realistic that you can't carry multiple rifles and handguns. Online play is the best however. More weapons to choose from and different locations. Overall very happy with the game."

What's great about it: Gameplay is one of the best first person shooter formats, storyline is challenging and fun.
What's not so great: Only thing I disliked is the "dying" indicator, when you are low on health the outside of the screen will flash red=bad
"Overall, this game is great. The shooter mode is great, and the controls are easy. Id have to say the biggest downside is the dying indicator, which instead of flashing red should make you move slower and blurr the screen. However, aside from that, it is great. The multiplayer is amazing with a exp-kill system that rewards you with exp as you kill enemies. As you gain more levels, more weapons and perks are unlocked."

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: graphics seem a little cheap and like a clean war?
"The reason I say everything but still have a "not so great" complaint. Is it doesn't bother me. It just drew my eye. I have this and world at war. This one although is scratched now. I play world at war about 10hrs a day. Serious about gaming. A friend brought this over and we played. It's so much different. The graphics look really nice but cheap. 80% of the buildings are in mint condition. In the new one I'm hoping it has more realistic graphics and features. Like sliding through mud and it flying up in the screen. Or when being shot you move a little bit like you would being shot in real life. Good game, must have, aswell as world at war, and they new MW coming out."

What's great about it: The story line is great, controls are easy to get the hang of, and online play is amazing!
What's not so great: Nothing
"I reluctantly bought this game after a friend told me how cool it was but I was skeptical because I thought it was going to be exactly like Halo but set in a different time. The reality is that this game feels very realistic with awesome graphics, realistic physics, and the best part: If there is a guy running from your left to your right, the sound of him running will move from the left speaker to the right one as he moves; this makes it feel like you're actually in the battle. Also sound will increase as someone moves closer to you for an even more realistic effect."

What's great about it: Story Mode, Online, Overall Gameplay
What's not so great: A Few Glitches
"The Story Mode is great, it has a lot of heated battles and stealthy missions. The online is the best there is of any war game where you can customize your weapons and play a lot of fun game modes like headquarters and search & destroy. The people that dont like online suck at it. And the only thing bad about online is a few glitches and juggernaut perk.
Cant wait for Modern Warfare 2, already pre-ordered it a month ago."

"at first i hated this game so much i couldn't stand playing it, i was usually a halo guy i always played halo all the time n we were at church they had only call of duty then i started likely it it was really fun then i went to target bought cod5 and i loved it really great but i didn't like the world war 2 setting got tired of it so i went to best buy bought cod4 for and it was the funnest game Ive ever played but there is one reason that i didn't give it a five it didn't come with my code for the variety map pack so i got mad"

What's great about it: The online play
What's not so great: The campaign (storyline)
"I bought this game quite a while ago and when I received it, I didn't like it very much (because of the challenging online play). I played the campaign for a while and it was pretty fun, the storyline was okay, and the ending was great. In January I started to play the online again with my friends and I absolutely loved it. It was one the funnest online games i had ever had the pleasure of playing. The online maps are great, as well as the weapons. Overall, comparing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to Call of Duty: World at War, this is a much much better game. The only reason Call of Duty: World at War sells so much is that people don't really know which one to buy, and that one is newer, so they assume that it's better, I can assure you that it is not though."
