What's great about it: Your own music on the go.
What's not so great: short battary life and only could charge on computer
"This is my 1st ipod and I love it. I found it easy use after a few clicks of the mouse. Some of the accessories are expensive. So I went on-line shopping for cheaper accessories and I found the same items much cheaper than in the stores. I found covers, dock speakers, car adapter, and travel charger which is great. You do not need a computer to charge."

What's great about it: Coverflow and genius feature and thiness
What's not so great: doesnt always shuffle when you shake it
"So I just got this for Christmas and this is an excellent choice. Apple keeps getting better. I had a 2 gb ipod which cost the same and now i got 8gb for only $149. Excellent."

Beware- not compatible

What's great about it: It is very cool!
What's not so great: Will not work with Firewire charging devices.
"The 4th generation nano does not support firewire charging devices. I have 3 docking stations and the 2 new 4th gen nanos that I have purchased for this years Christmas do not charge in any of them. They took away the compatability to charge with firewire. This means that now when they listen in their rooms it will not be charging but draining the battery. I have even called the support hotline and they did not even state this it took myself searching on the internet and finging it myself. So just to let people now that the new nano will probably not charge with what you have at home unless you purchased it after the release of the 4th generation nano."

What's great about it: Great screen
What's not so great: very small
"I've only have this product for a day, but so far it's great! Once I got it out of the package I realized how small and slippery it is, which worries me a little. So I'm definitely going to invest in a travel case."

What's great about it: The colors
What's not so great: It freezes up from time to time
"It freezes up sometimes casuing me to have to reboot it as well as hit the reset button. I upgrade frimware regularly but has not fixed the issue. Other then that I love the size and bein able to have my music everywhere. I wish the ear plugs were softer. Holds all the music U will need."

What's great about it: EASY SETUP ONCE U UNDERSTAND THAT ITUNES IS ALL U NEED, TRENDY COLOURS
What's not so great: OWN VIDEOS DOESNT PLAY
"I GOT THIS IPOD RECENTLY, THIS IS MY FIRSTONE, LOVED IT. DISAPPOINTED AS IT DOESNT SUPPORT MANY VIDEO FORMATS. PHOTOS ARE AWESOME. HAD PROBLEMS WITH EARPHONES COULDNT HEAR RIGHT SIDE PROPERLY. EXCHANGED THE IPOD IN BESTBUY ITSELF. NOW ALSO CAN HEAR BOTH SIDES ONLY IF INSERTED IN JACK PARTIALLY. EARPHONES ARE FRUSTRATING.............. OTHERWISE NICE. HOPE ATLEAST IN COMING MODELS APPLE WILL GIVE A BETTER QUALITY EAR PHONES."

the only con is they havent made any cases for it yet
but eventually they will anyway u shuould GO TO BEST BUY AND BUY THIS BEAUTIFUL THING cuz its AWESOME

What's not so great: no bluetooth
"Easy to use....lots of memory. Love that you can add pictures and movies/video. Didn't think to much about the fact it didn't have bluetooth, but it would be nice. As soon as the cases come out it'll be perfect. Looks like it could scratch easy but I'm not taking any chances to find out for sure."

"I absolutely love this new iPod. It's small, light weight, and affordable. You can buy the 8G and still be able to download 2,000 songs, which is plenty of room for me to have my music and upload games on to as well (which is helpful for when I'm bored at work). I just wish they would hurry up and make more cases for it, because I bought a case, but I'm not too happy with it. I would really love to have a clear silicone case (to show off the pink color of the Pod itself, which I love) with a screen protector *HINT HINT*"
