GREAT PERFORMER

What's great about it: Ease of use, good price
What's not so great: nothing!
"Great Performer! That is what I can call this 120GB iPod Classic. I do not need to fear whether my CDs and DVDs will get scratched on the surface. What I do is get the old and new CDs and DVDs transferred via itune to my precious iPod Classic. The disk space is also great. It can hardly be exhausted. With the apple Universal dock purchased, all I do now is to connect the iPod to my Home theatre unit to either listen to great music or watch films. This is amazing! Thanks to Apple.
Another thing here is the use of the iPod Classic to deliver lectures or present technical papers via the Projector. I just prepare the necessary lecture notes on Microsoft Power Point and transfer the slides as photos to my iPod. This is unique and beats imaginations here. Hey! Go get it now!"

"This Ipod is just what you need if you want the best! I code my songs at 320 for the best sound quality and I have over 2000 songs on it so far & 19 videos and still have 99GB left! It's so easy to use and has terrific sound & equalizer settings! If you're going to buy an Ipod, this is all you'll ever need!! I have friends that bought smaller GB's and now they regret it cause more & more music keeps coming out...you'll love the space it has!! This, for it's price is an awsome steal!!"

What's great about it: More Than I Need
What's not so great: Too Fragile
"I bought the 120 GB IPod and quickly realized it was more than I needed. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I guess if your into watching movies on it then the extra space will be needed. Can not see myself ever watching a movie on this little screen. Otherwise, its a great technology. Was able to get half my CD collection on it and only used 10 GB."

"Other than volume problems it isn't to bad but the volume is not good at all, it sounds like its only at about 15 decibels when it really should be about 300 decibles for the top volume"

"I LIKE IT, BUT TRYING TO FIND SONGS IS LIMITED AS YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SCROLL WITHOUT USING A PLAYLIST. SOMETIMES I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO A LIST, I KNOW A SONG I WANT TO LISTEN TO RIGHT AWAY, AND IT'S DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE."

"i got this and absolutly love it. the sleekness and the size is perfect, and the sound is also great. the only problem i had was one time wen i was done charging it, the screen suddenly blanked out. that happend to on e of my friends before, and then had to get a new one, but it turned out is was just the battery that over heated. scared me to death but it turned out to be nothing. other then that, nothing has happend and i love it!"

What's great about it: EASY TO USE, TONS OF STORAGE
What's not so great: none yet
"This ipod is much more that just an MP3 player. Does a lot of things. music, videos, audio books, pod cast, games, photos, text document viewer, contact lists, word clock with alarm and sleep timer, etc. I love the ability to hook it up to my TV for watching and shearing videos and pictures. Makes for a great portable hard drive for transporting large files. Controls are very easy to use."

What's great about it: battery life, storage capability, clear sound and picture, easy to use, great item for the money
What's not so great: skips songs occasionaly
"I originally bought the 80 gb iPod earlier this year, but that one completely died for some reason. I ended up being able to get the new 120 gb for no extra cost and have had it for about 2 months now. I love iPods and this one is no exception. All the features are great. I have had a little problem in the past week with it skipping songs. If I press fast forward, it seems to take a while to get itself back on track. However, it is still a great product and I would definitely recommend it."

What's great about it: It has a lot of different things in it than the older ipods such as Cover Flow, the games for it have better graphics.
What's not so great: I cannot think of any.
"Very good especially 80 GB for only $250. Even if you dont need 80 GB and you need more than 16 GB (Which is what the Ipod nano has) you should still get this. I have about 21 GB of stuff and this is good because i need more than 16GB and the 80 GB has a good price for the amount of GB's that it holds."

What's great about it: Ease of use, synching with iTunes, mp3 compatibility.
What's not so great: anchored to iTunes, difficult to move songs from iPod to computer.
"This is actually my second iPod purchase and I'm very pleased with it. This is undoubtedly my favorite mp3 player on the market. It's versatile as an mp3 player, on the go video player, it acts as an external hard drive, can play games, and best of all, it's an Apple product.
I have had no problems with this product, I'd definitely recommend it."

What's not so great: iTunes still won't work with my SqueezeBox ...
"The only reason I'm not giving this product 5 stars is that I wish that my Logitech Squeezebox could play iTunes downloaded songs. Hey it's an Apple thing... and I know... rights management, yada yada yada... But hey the Squeezebox is just a player without storage right?
Anyhow... the new iPod Classic has tons of storage for EVERYTHING. Great upgrades from the older big iPod. I just don't see how anyone could buy any other type of personal music device. Apple has NAILED this ... AGAIN"

Better than the 80 or the 160 GB

"I just exchanged my 80 GB 6th Gen classic in for the new 120 GB as I had just purchased one in under 30 days. If you don't know, there isn't a restocking fee for Apple Ipods if your purchase was within that time. Figuring that there should be more for the $$$ and since the 120's were the same price, in essence what I got was one that has 40 more GB.
I've never been one to jump on the proverbial bandwagon to get the trendy items, but this comes in really useful when I'm taking long trips in my car or while I'm at work. It's easy to use and actually works better than the 80 GB I had since it would let me treat it as a self standing hard drive.
The scroll wheel works better and the album art loads faster which is immediately recognized, especially if you owned one of the 6th Generation classics.
I love it!"
