What's great about it: easy to navigate around; selecting scene mode was easy, cool color, perfect touch works well What's not so great: flash whites out everything, doesn't focus well anywhere, movie mode doesn't have good sound, pics are 2 dark or 2 white
"I bought this camera after much research because my last camera broke in 2 weeks. i was very disappointed. First of all, I love taking close of pictures of everything so it fills the frame. This camera doesn't focus at all even when you are in close up mode that was especially made for pictures 70 cm or closer. It also doesn't focus when you are very far away. Also, the flash is way to strong. It makes everything look white no matter what the lighting is. But if you turn it off, the picture won't come out. the only flash that works well is in the mode where you are taking a self portrait. movie mode doesn't focus either and the sound is way off; even though you can barely hear it. One of the only cons to this camera is the perfect touch. It is very hard to find (it is in the menu while you are doing playback) but I used it on one of my good pictures and it turned out crisp and with a great color. However I only did this on one picture. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this to a friend because it is unreliable and there are cheaper cameras that take better pictures."

"My brother has the M763. It has 7.2MP. And of course I had to out do him so I bought this one, the M863. It has 8.2MP. BUT, do NOT let that fool you. His camera's quality kills mine. The quality for this camera is complete garbage for a claimed 8.2MP resolution. If there are any areas in the picture that are anything other than white its fuzzy. And I say other than white cause you cant really notice the fuzziness on the white objects. This camera's features are amazing...but features mean nothing if the quality can't match it. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this product. I would not recommend this to ANYONE. Don't waste your money and don't waste your time...buy a different camera!"

What's great about it: Images, Action Capture, Ease of Use What's not so great: None yet
"I shopped around for about 2 weeks for a small but effective camera that would take great action shots. I had a Sony Cybershot that would blur images constantly and would take pictures 5 seconds after pushing the button. My daughter dropped it and I was upset at the time but I AM GLAD SHE DID. This Kodak M863 IS by FAR the BEST camera in this or any other price range. It takes pictures when I want it to. It takes great action shots. Today I took a picture of a ceiling fan in motion and the shot was perfect as if the fan was off and still. The scene selection is great and I cant wait to try out the fireworks scene in a few days. Now time to buy some accessories. Order online because it is always sold out in stores. I am purchasing another just in case this one drops of course right on the lens."
