"I'd love to write a review, but since the printer didn't include a USB cable for which to connect my computer, I can't even set it up. Best Buy wants $40-$50 for the cheapest USB A/B cable. Yeah right. I'll be right there. Not."

What's great about it: Low Cost of Ink!!!! Print Quality and Speed, Very Quiet, I Love It!
What's not so great: Nothing that I have found.

"I ended up paying only $39.99 for this printer ($49.99 - $10.00 discount) and it is the best printer I have ever owned. I use it primarily for business so it is used a lot every day. It tops the last HP printer that I owned, which I paid nearly $400 for. I loved that printer too and was sad to see it go because I did not think I could find anything better. I was wrong! Not only is this printer better in every way, but I could not even replace the ink in my old printer for the $39.99 I paid for this new model. This printer is fast and the photos, documents, or whatever I am printing print fast, crisp, clear, and vivid! The response time is immediate when a print job is sent to the printer and scanning is easier and faster than ANY scanner I have ever used. Don't let the price fool you - you will not be disappointed in this All-In-One HP product. I'm sure the price is so low because it is being replaced by the latest and greatest. I'm so glad I got one now because I cannot see how it can be improved."

What's great about it: Using fast draft it is really fast. It's compact, especially when the paper feed tray is closed.. Easy installation.
What's not so great: It's a bit noisy, but so were my other HP's!

"After I bought a new computer with Vista I could no longer use the other 2 HP's I have. I had had good experiences my other HP printers, but looked at the all in ones from HP, Dell, and Kodak, before settling on this one- it has lots of features, a low initial cost, and relatively low cost for the ink cartridges. It was very easy to install and I haven't had any problem with paper jamming so far. I have only printed black and white documents so I can't say how much ink it will use, so at this point that's not an issue either. I would definitely recommend this printer for the average person to use at home."

"I was a more than a little intiminated about buying my first printer, I did my best to compare all that had similar options, what options I did or did not need.

The HP C4480 turned out to be quite the smart printer, easy install (even I could do it), prints and copies great, photos print a little slower than liked, but I didn't purchase it for photo copies. The price was such a great deal, well worth the
price."

"I got this the afternoon of Black Friday on sale for $50.00. Wow this was a deal. The photo capacity on this thing is fantastic. The sales associate told me to change the one cartridge to #99 which is a photo ink. He said you wont believe the vividness in the pics. Well I have not done that yet and just printed with the ink supplied and all I can say is WOW. I can't imagine it being any better with the other ink but I can not wait to find out. I have the Epson personal printer also and that comes no where close to this HP, buy one today, even if you get it at the original price of ninety to a hundred bucks."

"speed of print is great and so fast. not a loud printer, doesnt make a whole bunch of beeps and noises that iv heard from other printers. also shows ink levels when printing which is great. pictures and anything with alot of color comes out good, and getting this printer for the package price when i bought my hp desktop was a good value."

What's great about it: Follow the directions you're up and printing in minutes.
What's not so great: Unsure, perhaps the use of "black ink only" while printing drafts. May be a mistake vs the grey scale option.

"Had a Lexmark X84/85 All In One, but when I purchased a new computer with Windows Vista, the Lexmark wouldn't work. Contacted Lexmark for the new "drivers" to support Windows Vista and was told "we wont be supporting that printer with new drivers, you'll have to purchase a new printer!" Well, you can imagine my response/reaction. I now have a doorstop, courtesy of Lexmark, will never purchase another Lexmark, ever. The C4480 has been a wonderful choice and I'm sure HP will support the next generation of Windows with drivers so I wont have (2) doorstops in the future."

What's not so great: Nothing it a very good Printer for the price

"Very Nice Printer. Fast Print job. Nice copying. Dosnt Fax but you can get fax programs that will fax somethign off the computer once you have scanned it it. The Ink is 15-20 but that same with all Printers."

What's not so great: Constant trouble getting it to work

"I really like the easy set-up and quality of pics and color print outs. Black & white docs not as great but good enough. My biggest problem is getting the printer to work. Falls asleep when inactive. Print jobs from PC will still work but copier & scanner will not engage unless I unplug / replug AC adapter. On / off switch does not work in this mode either. I have called HP helpdesk several times and never get an answer that works. "Try this, wait 24 hours and call us back if it does not work". Never works! Pretty frustrated. Printer is brand new!"

What's great about it: Good print quality. Functionality is very good.
What's not so great: Slow. Seems to use a lot of toner.

"Got this with an iMac, now that the 18 pin printer cable has been made obsolete. But I like the printer overall so far. I'm not a print-heavy person. Need to see how I can just print one page. I can view it in a pdf file, but can't select one of several to print. Always something!"
