"We bought this product last september (3 months ago) and I waited a few months to test it out and see if the 5 star reviews are really consistent. Honestly after using this tv for about 3 months, there hasnt been a day when I had second thoughts about this TV. It's pure perfection! I relied 100% on reviews on all my purchases from various sites and they never failed to impress me. Although the sound of this TV cannot be compared to home theater systems, the sound is pretty decent enough and you can always adjust highs and lows from its audio settings. I watch my 1080p bluray movies and they're really natural. I save a lot of money from not going out on weekends anymore since I wont have to.. now that I have this TV to keep me amazed all the time... No matter where you look for reviews, i guarantee you that this is the best TV in its class. You might compare this with Sony Bravia, other brands or even other Samsung models that's hugely discounted and almost the same price as this one. From my experience, the reason why stores put products on sale is because either it's old stock (which is normal to put on sale), or the product is very bad. This Samsung LN46A530 TV hasnt changed price since I got it coz its very good! 4 thumbs up!! (my feet included)"

What's not so great: None...the finish may be a bit delicate but whos really that picky?
"This TV is great! bought it to replace my 40" samsung which was flood damaged...very sad...but this tv was way worth the extra money. It has great picture quality and sharpness and works flawlessly with my BD player. I would definetly recommend this product for anyone looking to buy a new LCD. And go for the 46 over the 40 the extra $300 is well worth it."

What's great about it: Great Price
"I purchased this television to replace an old plasma. After viewing all the models at Best Buy, I like this one the best. The colors are vibrant and true to life. The setup was easy and I was watching in no time flat. I have my cable box hooked up to it, and the HD channels are amazing. I also have my PS3 connected and the Blue Ray pictures are stunning. For the size and price this television is worth it."

"This is a good tv for the price. With other similar features and equal size the samsung tv is a good deal. Although there are other models with faster refresh rates and a couple more features, this tv gets the job done with a few hundred dollars less. It was easy to wall mount, however you must try to keep the finish covered for it is very easily damaged. The remote control does not control my dvd-vcr combo wich is also a samsung, this is a minus but over all a great tv."

"Ive had this tv for over 2 months now and it has been perfect! The channel guide when using an antenna for over the air hd channels is amazing. I also opted to get the in home calibration from geek squad and I would recommend it to every Sammy owner! The whites and blacks are much more truer than I could get them by using other people's settings that I was able to find from various forums. Spend the extra money and get it calibrated. You will not be disappointed!"

What's great about it: excellent picture
What's not so great: decent but not the best sound
"Pretty similar to the ln46a550 but has much better sound out of the box. There are a few added features for the 550, but in my opinion not really worth it. However, go with the one that is cheaper since t he 550 seems to have come down in price.
As for the 530, I'm very happy with it. You get great picture, decent sound, and enough connections for your needs. Excellent with blu-ray. No problems so far, have had it for over 2 months now."

"The first thing I noticed on this TV (besides the size) was the amazing color. I hooked up my plain ol' dvd player and popped in a sci-fi movie. It looked like the 4th of July; explosions were so rich and colorful you felt like you were at the movies. I then hooked up a 1080p upconvert player using the same dvd and the detail was amazing. Very happy with the picture quality. Although the picture was great out of the box I'm a bit of a "tweaker" so I was very happy to find a huge amount of adjustments for the picture, sound and even fine-tuning for the channels. I also bought this to serve as a monitor for my PC and after a little trial and error finding the best way to hook it up it works well for that purpose too. It is finicky on what resolutions it will support while in PC mode. I am currently writing this review online while watching college football via the PIP and listening to my mp3 playlist in the background. Very novel experience to surf the web in your living room on a 46" screen.
Gaming looks great as well.
There is only one channel tuner on this tv, so even though it has PIP, you can't watch two TV channels simultaneously. You can watch two different inputs (DVD/Cable or PC/Cable, etc) but not two channels from the same input.
The TV's sound is so-so, about on par with every other tv out there. There is an equalizer funtion and simulated surround feature which does help out the sound a bit. 98% of people who buy this will probably hook it up to a separate sound system so this is almost a non-issue.
The remote is nice as well. It has a backlight that you can turn on or off to save battery life. The functions are logical and the most frequently used have a dedicated button on the remote.
Another reason I bought this is because of the sleek and well thought-out design of the cabinet. The control buttons on the unit are touch-sensitive (similar to a micro-wave) and totally hidden. On each side of the TV is an angled strip trimmed in silver used to reflect the sound from the side speakers into the room. There are no buttons or speaker holes / mesh to detract from the expensive looking trim.
Overall this is a great flat-panel. It has all the looks and features of a much more expensive set. I am very happy with this purchase."

What's great about it: Great picture and easy to get to connections
What's not so great: Because speakers on on the back of the tv set the sound isn't as loud as it gets blocked by the wall.
"Have researched LCD tvs for a long time and we finally decided on the 46" Samsung. I am thrilled with this tv. The picture quality is awesome! I really debated if I should buy the 120hz but honestly after looking at both the 60 and 120hz tvs I couldn't tell that much of a difference and decided to spend the difference in price between the 60 and 120 on a larger tv. I really cannot find anything truly bad to say about the tv. The only down part is the location of the spearkers. Since the speakers are on the back of the tv the sound projects right into the wall so the sound isn't as good as it could be. But if you have a surround sound system hooked up then it makes no difference. All connections on the tv are very each to get to. Overall I think it is the best tv out there!"

"i got this t.v. 2 weeks ago after selling my 32 in.toshiba regza. i was happy with it but i really wanted something bigger. there is no doubt that samsung is the top of line in tv's. amazing picture. my 360 games look incredible and blu-ray movies look simply stunning. i love the touch buttons on the side which blend in with the sleek black finish and again it's really amazing,
at first i could not choose between the 530 and 550 models but both look identical. i honestly could not be any happier with this purchase. I DEFINETLY RECOMMEND IT!!!"

"I looked at more expensive TVs but dollar for dollar I think this samsung is an outstanding value. The picture is incredible. I have read other customer reviews suggesting the SD picture was poor. I have not found that to be true. If you are looking you need to see this set in person. You can spend more if you want but I am glad I didn't."

"I love this TV so much! The HD picture is amazing you feel like your there! Its big (looks way smaller in store then at home) nice for movies and gaming and every day TV watching. The 3 hdmi is nice because I have an HD dvr, blu-ray DVD player, and an extra one on the side for your HD video camera. The on screen menus are very easy to use (changing your source, changing settings) and ONLY 1500$!!!!!
the sd picture is not good not horrible but not good (better the some lcd's),the touch controls on the TV look nice because you cant see them....but when you want to use them you still cant see them.
All in all it's a very nice LCD I love it and you will to.
Off subject but I got a TV stand that you mount your TV to and ITS SOO COOL! You get the look of it being mounted on the wall but you get cord management (hide your cords) if you are getting any LCD I recommend getting that type of stand.
The best buy staff was very helpful in finding this LCD and the stand.
Well I hope you get this LCD and if you do, get it from best buy they have very good customer service
