What's great about it: Great nave and fast recaluating a different route. Very easy to use and maps are up todate and very acuatre.
What's not so great: Price is a little high but find it on sale, no case.
"This gps is the bomb, just like a computer. Very easy to use."

Great right out of the box

What's great about it: This unit is so easy to use right out of the box.
What's not so great: No carrying case,did purchase a generic case.
"This is my first Tom Tom and I Iove it. Bought it for my wife so she doesn't get lost going to different churches with the our church bookstore.She finds that gives great directions and takes you right to the location asked for.I used it to go to a new doctors location that I had never been to and it also took me right to the location.It has so many great features for the price.Could not rate durability as I haven't had a problem with dropping it ETC"

What's great about it: eccruacy, spoken steet names
What's not so great: menu navigation takes awhile to understand
"i have been using verizons navigator and this unit is great. maps are accurate and i dont have to worry about cell service"

"Easy transaction, arrived sooner than estimated. Purchased for new graduate to be able to find their way to job interviews. In my day, we learned to read maps and remember where streets were. Kids today must have too much on their minds to remember such things. It will be nice when traveling to different cities and while on vacation. My daughter used one while visiting a friend in San Diego and was able to navigate a strange town without any problem and even the drive from San Diego to LA and around that big city without problems. That is the reason I decided on this model."

Great GPS Unit

What's great about it: Large Screen, Easy to Update, Many Useful Features
What's not so great: Does not come with carrying case, a little pricey
"This GPS unit has worked beautifully for any trip that I've made with it. In addition to having a large screen, the unit itself is slim and easily fits into the glove compartment when not in use. The unit allows you to change the position icons, startup, and shutdown screens to whatever personal pictures you choose."

"Overall, this is a great product. There have been a few times when I've tried to look for a specific restaurant or store and havent been able to find in on the TomTom, but for the most part, it gets me where I need to go. It is best to know the address of the place you want to go if you are going to use this."

Good Unit - does what it's supposed to

What's great about it: Excellent directions and quick map re-routes
What's not so great: Poor POI list
"First off, others should be aware that commercial GPS units will be off their location by about 300 feet or more. Commercial GPS has a looser calibration unlike military units that can get within 10 feet of their target. This unit does very well in proper directions and was as close to an address as any that I have used. Suction cup is quick and easy to use. The POI is fairly weak though and needs a big fix. This is a good unit and entry level if you want a wide screen, spoken street names, and basic GPS with no frills. Over all I would recommend."

"I have had to return two of the XL330's now. The first one locked up, and the second one the back came away from the windshield and left the suction cup stuck to the glass."

What's great about it: Nice sturdy unit.
What's not so great: Useless as far as getting the address right
"I tried TWO Tom-Tom models at various times, this being the second. No matter what I tried I could not get either one of them to get me to the right address: all addresses were off by 2-3 city blocks. I tried the units in THREE diferent states and no matter what, the address locations were off. Interestingly enough though, the maps were DEAD ON. If there was a median in the road, the map on the screen showed it where it belonged with an acuracy of a few feet. As far as addresses go: forget it. It shows my own house being off by 2.5 city blocks... Go figure. It went back to the store and as far as I am concerned I will probably not try a Tom-Tom for a LOONG time to come. I need a GPS to keep me out of trouble, not to get me into it. So if I am looking for an address late at night in a rough area I don't need to fumble around trying to figure out where my destination is. I expect to be within 10-20 feet of it in either direction.
Sigh...
Back to the drawing board.
Oh yeah, I got a story from the store clerck about the unit not being able to see the sateliters... Not true. As I said locations on the map are dead on. Adresses, are OFF."

What's great about it: Wide Screen
What's not so great: Always a quater mile off
"The function on the TOM TOM XL 330 S are great. I just never had it hit an address right. I use it everyday for work and everything is a quarter mile down the street. I even apparently live up the road and my house has been here for 30 years. I've been on the phone with TOM TOM everyday downloading something new and updating satellites and never got it fixed. I am returning it for a different GPS. TOM TOM not a FAN."

What's great about it: Quick routing, highly customizable, Wide screen, TomTom Home Software, Easy port, Options, Options, Options!!!
What's not so great: USB jack in bad position, no blue tooth
"This is a great GPS. I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 260, and took it back after 2 days to get another Tomtom. The directions are great. I like the fact that you are asked to avoid toll roads when entering a destination.
Probably the best thing about this Tomtom is the options, and software. Everything can be customized and downloaded. If you want to change the way it looks, what it does, what's displayed, or add unique poi's; then just download them from Tomtom home. The options are almost unlimited!
Tomtom can be hard to see sometimes in the direct sunlight, and it doesn't have bluetooth. Other than that, I would recommend this to anyone."

What's great about it: very detailed maps and easy to use update software
What's not so great: battery life a little short for me
"I love this TomTom. It was the only one I even looked at as far as my intended purchase. We call it the nag in the box. The software is easy to install and the updates are easy to get. This can get the up to date gas prices and will navigate you to the nearest gas station for cheapest gas. Easy to use and isn't bulky like previous models. The battery life isn't as well as I had hoped but, bare in mind as long as it's turned on the lights are displayed thus the battery life. I recommend this unit to anyone interested in a GPS."
