What's great about it: very pretty, not every1 will have it! What's not so great: um nothing so far!
"I know that I am going to say this alo but I absolutely love my laptop! now I may have paid wat $50 more for the "pretty one" but it's so worth it! I brought it in andlet the Geek Squad hook me up! they did everything that I needed done in a couple of hours including increasing my RAM from 3gb to 4gb, it was fast easy and problem free! I am considering increasing my harddrive to 320 but we'll see! I'm not to worried about that but it performs like an Olympic Gold metalist its fast, sufficient, and pretty... lol! I kno wat can I say its a girls dream I love my new laptop! it's worth it, even the shipping was quick it took maybe 3 days but I missed the 1st delivery so it was here in 2 days! wow! This laptop is so worth the money but make sure u get all the gadgets to go with it, I got advance security with has where they install all your needed software and remove the trial versions, which really slow your pc downm and do all the updates and creat recovery disk I mean everything! I actually did an exchange on my 1st laptop, it fell off my car while I was driving and I was able to take it back in pieces and they replaced it because I bought the extended warranty! whoo again I love my laptop!"

What's great about it: graphics are awesome and system runs very fast What's not so great: gets hot really fast, but battery life is about 2-3 hrs
"I absolutely LOVE my laptop! It's really great! I havent had any problems with it since I purchased it a little over a month ago. I wasnt too crazy about it having the Windows Vista OS as I had heard too many negative things about it, but I can honestly say that I havent had any issues with Vista at all. In fact, I actually like Windows Vista, its very different than what I am used to with the XP Home Edition. I use my laptop for school as well as for personal use. Even my 4 yr old daughter knows how to use it. Sometimes even better than I do. Figure that! Great purchase! Go get it! :)~"

What's great about it: Portable size, nice specs, vivid screen. What's not so great: "Arctic bloom" design is a bit cheesy, smudges easily, bulky ac/adapter.
"I was in the market for a 14.1 laptop for less than 1000 dollars, and after about a month of fairly exhaustive research decided I was interested in a T-Series Gateway. In terms of specs (which is what counts for me, in the long term) you will be hard pressed to do better in this price range. 3GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive and an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor all pretty much had me at hello. If you're wavering on this at all because of the processor speed, I am a multi-tasking maven and have had no problem with it whatsoever. My understanding is that a 2.0 or higher processor speed is really only necessary if you frequently perform graphic intense activities- like video editing or playing video games.
Another feature unique to this laptop is the media card reader- anyone with a digital camera will appreciate the ease of uploading your photos that this affords. I also like that there's simple on/off switch for your wireless capability to help control your vulnerability to viruses and whatnot. Lastly on the pros, the 14.1 screen size is perfect for me. Portable enough that it's manageable on my daily bike commute and large enough to enjoy a movie, it's compact and free of wasted space.
My quibbles are pretty minor. The screen, while gorgeous, is very prone to smudging. When closed it would seem that the keyboard comes into contact with the screen- so a barrier is necessary to prevent scratching. Some sort of latch would help me feel as though it were more secure in my travels. The a/c adapter is fairly bulky- which can be a drag to carry around with me.
The floral design is probably not for everyone, and I would guess it hasn't proved to be popular as Gateway isn't advertising it any longer. It was the only thing that gave me pause about ordering this on the internet, as I was terrified that it would look like something only an eleven year old girl ought to own. It's not breathtaking, but it's subtle enough not to offend my 25 year old decidedly un-girly sensibilities.
All in all, I'm very happy with my choice and feel that I did well for my money. As someone who doesn't necessarily want to go out every year and buy the creap of the crop I feel like this machine is built in such a way that it will remain relevant and useful for several years. Best Buy had this on my doorstep in 3 business days with standard shipping, and while the box was a bit mussed up it was clearly packed well. My only wish from the purchasing aspect was that they offered their in-house protection plan for this product. Hope this is helpful to someone!"
