Best camera i've ever owned

What's great about it: great zoom, easy to use after u read the instruction manual, great quality
What's not so great: the lens cap- it falls off very easily
"i got this camera as a christmas gift; i think it's the best gift i've ever gotten! it was a little confusing at first, but after reading the instruction manual and messing around with it a little, it's quite easy to use. since december 25th i've taken over 1,000 photos and they've come out great!
the only complaint i have is that the lens cap does not stay on very well."

"This camera was a christmas gift, I've owned alot of cameras but this one is the best. Well worth the price. I've always been into photograaphy and this camera takes the best pictures which makes it that much easier to take amazing photos. I would recommend this to any friend any day"

What's great about it: Good pictures on the open air,Image Stabilization, Megapixels ,Good battery life
What's not so great: Zoom is not 18x, auto focusing, not adjustable LCD,poor performance indoors
"Indoor to make auto focus + ZOOM work together you have to try maybe 3-4 times until you will get any results, when you get them they are good.
I compared it with Sony 15X zoom, the same result. 18x zoom is something relational."

Well worth the purchase

What's great about it: Great photo quality, Ease of use, Easy to download to your PC
What's not so great: Very in depth instruction manual
"I bought this camera a week ago and have already snapped about 200 photo's. The quality of the photo's are great. This is an advanced point and shoot camera. It is easy to use and with the included software it makes downloading to your computer a piece of cake. I was a little reluctant to buy a camera at this price but my concerns were quickly put aside. I am just beginning to get into photography but am pleasantly pleased with this purchase. The only negative (if you want to call it that) is that the camera has so many features you need to invest the time to thoroughly go through the instruction manual to be able to take advantage of all this camera has to offer. The zoom lens is a great feature of this camera and allows for quick focus on long distance shots. Overall this is obviously not the best camera product on the market, but highly worth the investment for the quality and features it provides."

Wonderful camera - great pictures

What's great about it: Lots of features, Great pictures
What's not so great: Some of the controls aren't that logical
"Once you read the instructions a bit and know the basics of photography, you can take great photos with this camera.
I just bought this and haven't found really anything bad with it, except that the controls are sometimes not what you expect them to be. But I guess since it has so many features that need to be accessed, they can't all be completely logical."

"I receieved this camera as a gift for christmas. ive been reluctant to switch to digital from my 35mm because i was afraid the quality wouldn't be the same. I am absolutely amazed at the quality of the photos. the color is spectacular, and i am totally sold on this camera. once you get passes reading the manual and figuring it all out, its relatively simple to use! i love this camera."

Great pictures and video

What's great about it: It is really point and shoot
"I bought this camera a couple of minutes before my kids Christmas concert to finally have some decent pictures of them. When I saw the battery I really hoped it was charged. It was. I was so pleased since I could start right away to take pictures. I could get really good close ups! During the concert I discovered that the camera could take videos too. The sound was excellent and the picture was completely stable. It was even more than what I hoped for. The quality of the pictures is excellent, it almost is a if your using a dslr. I do not regret my buy."

What's great about it: Easy set up, easy to use and great camera for the price.
What's not so great: Nothing yet but could have a better lens cap.
"I just bought this camera 2 days ago and used it for the first time last night. I took a picture (using a tripod) of the rare alignment of the first quarter moon with Venus and Jupiter. It's not a bad shot using the night scene with the auto. I'm sure once I learn the manual mode and more of the many features of the camera, I will be even more pleased.
This camera is lightweight and easy to use. Pick up a tripod when you buy it."

What's great about it: In some ways this camera is easy to use. I am going from a point and shot to this high tec camera.
What's not so great: can be complatated
"this camera is a wonderful one. It is a step up from the point and shoot that I had before. It is a little more complacated than Im used to. Has more options for better pictures if you read the guide book and understand some of the words but after playing with the camera for a while I started to understand this wonderful camera and saw the beautiful pictures it takes the only bad thing I can say about this camera is that it does not have a docking station for it but that is easy to get over and it does not come with software for editing pics on your computer I still have to use my old software from my old computer it does come with the software to transfer pics to you computer. LOVE IT ALL IN ALL!!!"

"This camera is great! I’ve only had it for three weeks and all ready I’ve taken hundreds of pictures with it. It takes great pictures of close ups like flowers and the zoom is fantastic. I would consider myself a novice with a camera (I’m 14) but once I read the instruction manual and gave myself time to play with the features and understand it more I have been able to take great pictures. This camera isn’t a point and shot and to get a good shot you must take your time, however if you do the quality pictures you get is wonderful. I would absolutely recommend this camera to anyone. It’s great for the price, easy to work with, and it’s very much like to professional cameras I’ve used. It’s a great camera."

What's great about it: Easy to start using. Takes beautiful pictures!
What's not so great: Takes a while to understand all of the features (for a novice) and cheap lens cap
"We bought this camera because we wanted a zoom lens and the fast action shots to catch our son when he smiles (usually the moment after we take the shot!). This camera takes gorgeous pictures and, even on the fast shoot mode, the pictures are clear and focused. The 18 X zoom is an added bonus. It is fun to be able to take pictures of bugs to keep for my son. And there are so many useful features. Much of these features are intuitive in that they are fairly easy to figure out and start using even without reading the manual. The only down side is despite having such a beautiful camera the lens cap is rather cheap and doesn't stay on very well. It is easily knocked off, leaving the lens exposed to possible damage when you're not paying attention (because you think the cap is still firmly on!)."

"I have used Kodak, panasonic, fuji, and the Nikon p80 is the best point and shoot I have found. Extremely light weight and compact. 18x zoom is sharp but I would avoid the digital zoom as I have found 180x to extreme to keep steady."
