What's great about it: PIcture looks better than my Panasonic 50PZ85U
What's not so great: Sound definitely leaves a lot to be desired- even for built in quality
I have nothing but good things to say about this TV. There is no buzzing or pink tint like some people have reported. I did have a previous Samsung plasma TV (almost 2 years ago) and it definitely had buzzing issues, but this model is fine. It does make a fair amount of heat, which is to be expected of a TV of this size.
The built in sound is terrible, worse than I'd expect for a TV of this caliber.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: This TV is loaded with features and the picture is absolutely great.
What's not so great: This tv runs very hot, it will add about $30.00 to your electric bill. Be careful of screen burn. It will destroy the tv
This TV is loaded with features and the picture is fantastic. True to life details will amaze you. Nature scenes such as underwater, mountains and flowers and trees are extraordinarily sharpe and clear with vivid color. But buyer beware! All plasma TV's run hot and will add about $30.00 onto your electric bill per month. Be very careful of screen burn. There is a burn protection built into the TV, but is does very little to prevent burn in. Knowing what I know now, I would have purchased an LCD. LCD's run very cool, no heat and no screen burn. Plasma TV's produce much higher detail and more vivid colors, but the trade off in heat and screen burn just isn't worth it. Get the LCD, or you will wish you had.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: HDMI inputs, swivels, elegant and the color contrast is awesome
What's not so great: nothing yet, crossing fingers
Several years back I purchased a Mitsubishi DLP and it sufficed for the price and current usage, at the time. However, it began to have lines across the picture. Thank goodness for the extended warranty. Best Buy was kind enough to pro-rate the television and I purchased the Samsung 58 inch Plasma. What an awesome television. The picture quality is next to none and I have researched tones of televisions of all brands and versions(LCD, Plasma and DLP). This TV not only looks slick but the HD quality is mind blowing. Hook-up was easy and BestBuy removed the old Mitsubishi. In all...the service was great, the picture is crisp and the sound is good. I have it connected to a Harmon Kardon receiver/amplifier so that says everything for the surround sound. If you are looking for a TV this is the ONE!!! especially for BlueRay (PS3).
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: PINK HUE ON WHITE BACK GROUND SAMSUNG DEFECT
THIS PANEL IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER OWNED. THE COLOR ACCURACY IS BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN. BUT ON A WHITE BACK GROUND IT HAS A GREEN & PINK HUE ON IT WHICH IS VERY DISTRACTING IF YOU GO TO THE MENU SETTING BURN IN PROTECTION & GO ALL WHITE YOU WILL SEE THE DEFECT NOT ALL HAVE THIS DEFECT SO IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES YOU HAVE A GREAT PANEL.

What's great about it: Fantastic picture, easy setup with HDMI.
What's not so great: Kinda spendy. Major dust magnet.
We purchased this set about 5 months ago. It has been great, so far. I would highly recommend paying extra for the calibration. The picture is amazing. We have it connected to a Yamaha HDMI receiver, so we only use one of the HDMI inputs on the TV. Works especially well for HD channels and Blu-Ray movies on our PS3.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Awesome picture quality. Vibrant colors and sharp detail.
What's not so great: gameplay during action scenes is just a little choppy but the graphics look amazing
This is my first Plasma TV and i'm sooo Glad I got the Samsung 6 series. I was looking for a TV that I can adjust the picture quality to exactly the way I want it and this is the one. Some TV's I've looked at fall short on their picture quality adjustments especially on the brightness and contrast.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Great Picture - Exterior color looks very sharp.
What's not so great: Is "choppy" when you watch action movies/games.
4th TV I have purchaaed from Samsung and they have always help with no burn in or issues with brightness.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Everything Outstanding
What's not so great: None
Decided on this set last week and Best Buy delivered it this morning. The Geek Squad will be by to set it up in two days but I couldn't wait. I assembled the Bush stand and my wife helped me put the big Samsung on it. I wired the Direct TV box and BluRay up. Everything was simple. Just had to glance at the instructions a few times. This TV is GREAT!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
