Great & inexpensive back up DSLR 04/13/2008

What's great about it: 12.2 megapixels, 3" LCD, live view, good size
What's not so great: None, but I may find a few later

"This new Canon DSLR is a very good DSLR to use as a primary camera or a back up to the 40D, but whatever the use that one would use this new DSLR for, it is a less expensive alternative to the 5D or 40D. This camera packs a lot of features that are in the more expensvie 40D and, it has about 20% more megapixels than the 40D, which costs almost twice as much as the XSi. I have been seriously thinking of buying the 40D as a primary camera and use my XTI as a back up. Now, I am thinking of buying this XSi to use as my primary & use my XTI as a backup camera."
