What's great about it: fast aperture, snappy focusing, great color & contrast
What's not so great: doesn't do the dishes
One of Canon's best lenses for portrait work. 135mm can be too long for some, but this lens is great in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. Definitely not the lens I'd recommend for a beginner! on a crop body this lens is effectively a 216mm f/2 lens and that rocks. I use it on 5dmkII's and love the results on full frame. It's also a great alternative/backup to the 70-200mm 2.8 IS but the 135 is MUCH smaller and lighter.
Enjoy!

What's great about it: blur
What's not so great: price, heavy
Great however (just like 85 L) I would add that the lens has some back-front focusing issues. I have a it on a Canon 5D and sometimes pictures are totally out of focus. My Canon 28-70 or 17-40 never had this kind of problem...Any suggestion? I have a few examles at www.usafromabove.com Furthermore, it is a heavy lens!!! :):):)

What's great about it: With the135mm 2/f you can get a nice blur background Profession looking photos
What's not so great: It`a hard 2 take indoor pics well mainly in small area because it already full zoom out, not a bad thing if you outdoors
IT`S ALL ON TOP...................................................................................................................

What's great about it: f/2 fast, front does not rotate or move, SHARP
What's not so great: long, really close on a crop , no is.
uhmmm first off, the picture they have is awkward, its longer, they seem to have compressed the image so that it looks a lot shorter than it really is. but do know that it is a long lens, its great on a full frame, though on a crop camera, like the 30d/40d/rebelxt its rather long for indoor use. great for lowlight if you can handhold the camera. and it is SHARP definitely one of the sharpest lens that canon has even at f/2
