Very high quality for the price

What's great about it: Great pictures, very mobile, huge battery life
What's not so great: No custom settings, options display a little confusing
"I bought the Powershot about a month ago and have had absolutely no issues with it whatsoever. The picture quality/resolution is superb and the battery life is longer than I've seen in any digital camera I've ever owned. I use it moderately and still haven't had to recharge the battery once. The start-up is very quick so you can catch those spur-of-the-moment events and you can keep this in your pocket all day long and barely notice it.
The stock settings on the camera are adequate and you'll be able to pick out the settings you need once you can get past the initally convoluted options screen. It just takes time to get used to is all.
Overall, this camera is flat-out amazing and is a great value!"

What's great about it: small sleek design, amazing picture quality, high mega- pixels, SDHC memory card compatible
What's not so great: NONE!!!!!
"I bought this camera after much research. I was apprehensible, at first, because of the cost. I took it charged the battery, which took maybe 15 min., and began to test it. I was amazed every shot condition I have tested this camera in the pictures came out crystal clear. The macro feature is excellent, digital macro alright, but the camera setting is amazing. pitch black night shots came out well, the subject was perfectly visible and possessed great detail. The battery life is excellent, I still haven't had to charge it. I use it at least twice a week and I bought it a month in a half ago. The screen is virtually scratch proof. I take very good care of this camera and the screen does not possess a visible scratch any where. I strongly recommend this camera to anyone and everyone. The plus is the large mega- pixels allows you to print a large picture. CANNON U HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!!!!"

What's great about it: Lightweight, stylish, well-known brand, takes great photos
What's not so great: Expensive
"I have always purchased Canon cameras and was excited to buy this one due to its small size and numerous capabilities. Although I have a Nikon 35 mm camera, this is the camera I take with me on an everyday basis. I don't have to be afraid that it won't take the same shot as my Nikon (which has a zoom lens) because it will and the shots will come out clear regardless of the time of day I am taking it.
I love how easy it is to operate and also, how anybody, even the amateur photographer, would be able to use this camera without wracking their brains over the buttons and the different items on the Menu.
I am happy with the purchase but wish the item was a little cheaper since I am a broke college student! :D"

What's great about it: Compact, light weight, hi res.
What's not so great: limited shutter and iris control, limited control on focus and depth of field
"Of all the compact digital camera's out there this one packs the biggest punch. Whether you're a professional photographer or you've never picked up a camera before in you're life, you can be assured you will get you money's worth. I'm a filmmaker by profession and use my Powershot all the time. Whether I'm doing a location scout, grabbing a production still, or grabbing a shot of the New York skyline, I know I'm going to be happy with the results... And of course, I still drag my A-1 35mm around for those shots that I want more control over, but not every shot requires a 52mm lens.... The Canon Powershot is my everyday camera, and I couldn't be happier."
