What's great about it: Plug n Play is great for passing around to other computers in the household.
What's not so great: .....
I received a gift card to best buy, and went straight to the mice section online. So I bought this mouse for about $1.93. I love that this mouse is so easy to use. It looks just like the picture you get, and the cord is super long. I recommend this to anyone that is looking for a mouse to have with a laptop or just to have for games and such. I loved this product!

What's great about it: inexpensive, attractive, comfortable
What's not so great: failed shortly after purchase
It seemed to work fine when I got it, so when I a couple weeks later I started to have some weird problems: flickering text when pointer was over a list of emails in Entourage 2004, then when I opened an email message, if the pointer was over the actual message, it would uncontrollably scroll all the way to the top of the message, making it impossible to handle most mail, as links I wanted to click on in messages would stubbornly scroll out of sight over and over again. I spent several hours rebuilding the Entourage database, repairing permissions, and then repairing the hard drive, to no avail, and then suddenly all the problems stopped, and I assumed I had found and fixed the problem. Two days later, the problem began again suddenly.
Finally, having tried virtually everything else, I wondered if it could be my new Rocketfish Apple Mouse, rather than either software or hardware issues based in the Mac. So I dug an old "hockey puck" mouse originally from an ancient iMac G3, plugged it into the same USB port as I had used to plug in the Rocketfish and - you guessed it - all the problems instantly disappeared. Then I swapped again, plugging the suspect Rocketfish back in, and again, all the problems were instantly back.

What's great about it: Scroll wheel, easy right click
What's not so great: left click is a little "slow"
I have been using the mouse that came with my mac 3-4 years ago. The scroll wheel on it hasn't worked for a while, but I never got around to replacing it until now. I like the scroll wheel on this mouse, and I like that I didn't really have to do anything other than plug it in. I am still getting used to having to hold the left click down for a little longer than I did with old mouse, but other than that it works fine. And it was pretty cheap, so I'm happy with it.

What's great about it: Price and easy setup
What's not so great: Design
Had no trouble getting this to work with my mac mini but the design is terrible. It is extremely uncomfortable and literally painful to use since it is all hard plastic with a bump right where the palm is.
You save over $40 compared to a mighty mouse but the toll on your hand will have you wishing you paid it.

What's great about it: This mouse blows the mighty mouse away.
What's not so great: Need buttons for Expose.
I was shocked when I plugged this into my iMac. The responsiveness of the mouse is a real improvement over the might mouse. No need for accelerator software with this mouse.

What's great about it: Smooth and reliable
What's not so great: Could be a touch less expensive
After dealing with the Apple Mighty Mouse and having trouble with the scrolling wheel on 2 of them.. I gave up on the over-priced Apple Mouse. The Rockfish mouse is smooth acting and scrolls well and is reliable. Designing a working mouse should not be rocket science. This mouse works and does not jump around for no reason. It tracks well on most mouse pads and is not the least finicky. Save yourself some time, money and frustration and get this mouse.

What's great about it: Works right out of the box for Vista and OS 10.5 -- disk not needed
What's not so great: The clicks ARE a little loud, but I'll get use to it. Not enough to influence my liking this mouse.
I'm rapidly becoming a fan of Rocketfish computer hardware. This is my second mouse from them, and the price/quality is second to none. I also was impressed with Best Buy customer service. I placed an online order and arranged for in-store pickup. The product turned out to not be available at my local Best Buy, so they sent me an email encouraging me to call the 1-800 number and have it shipped. I considered canceling, as I didn't want to pay shipping, but the agent gladly sent it to me UPS at no charge since it wasn't available at the store. It arrived 2 days later. Overall a great example of customer service, and the great product was icing on the cake!

What's great about it: Feels good in my hand. Very accurate.
What's not so great: Nothing
I hated my Mac mouse so I was looking for an alternative. I saw this at BB and thought I would give it a try. I thought it would be okay quality but anything is better than the Apple mouse. Well - I love it. It's the perfect size / shape, the scroll wheel is easy to use. It's a little noisy but after using it for about a week or two, it gets quieter. Looks cool too!

What's great about it: Feel and look of Apple, minus the strange trackball
What's not so great: Little pricey
The numerous bad reviews on the Mighty Mouse trackball steered me away from it. This looked like a good alternative.
I like the feel of the clicks and scroll wheel. Some have noted the scroll wheel ratcheting is too loud, the indents too pronounced. But it is exactly how I prefer them.
$30 seems a little high, seeing as how you can get nice wireless notebook mice for less than that now. So I think Rocketfish is taking advantage of the Apple price points.
I use this on a new Mac Mini, and it has frozen up/vanished a few times while plugged into a new Mac wired keyboard. I attribute this to the USB capability of that keyboard. For those looking for a similar setup, beware of possible issues.

What's great about it: Scroll Wheel that tilts left and right and also allows Expose clicking, and never fail Right Clicking!
What's not so great: Loud Scroll Wheel clicking as it scrolls.
I've only owned this device a few hours, but I'm already confident enough to rate this perfectly. It is being used as a replacement for the Bluetooth Apple Mighty Mouse. I got SICK and TIRED of having to wait for the Bluetooth to sync up to my laptop every single time. So I opted for wired.
This design is an obvious copycat of the Mighty Mouse, but the scroll wheel is much bigger, it makes louder clicks, and the RIGHT-CLICK button actually WORKS on the Rocketfish mouse.
I'm in love, and a new convert to Rocketfish. Why pay 4 times as much to get the Apple brand name when the Rocketfish clone mouse is totally better? I will not buy anymore Apple mouses unless I am confident that right-clicking is possible 100% of the time, and they don't have a sync wait time, and you don't have to yank the batteries and replace them to get it working correctly again.
Very very happy. The Apple Wireless "Mighty Mouse" is going right on eBay, and I could NOT be happier.

What's great about it: No drivers needed (on Mac OS X). Feels great.
What's not so great: Both buttons must be set to Primary or Secondary. Cable is a bit long, almost 5 feet.
I was looking for a mouse to replace my Mighty Mouse and came across this Rocketfish Mouse. Was not too sure about it, but got it anyway. It worked as soon as I plugged it in and I didn't even need to install any drivers. The tracking was a bit fast at first, but if you open System Preferences you can change the Tracking Speed as well as other options for the mouse. If your looking for a replacement to your Mighty Mouse because the scrolling ball has jammed (if it hasn't jammed yet, it eventually will), this is a great option since it's very similar in both features and design.

What's great about it: Inexpensive, works well, comfortable, looks good
What's not so great: Nothing, really
I originally purchased the smaller Rocketfish mouse for laptop PCs, but wasn't expecting the compact size of the thing at all! I didn't find it comfortable, so I wound up trading it in for this one. And the verdict of this larger mouse? I'm satisfied.
The mouse isn't too expensive, and does everything a mouse needs to do. It comes with a disk with the install files, but it worked on my Sony Vaio laptop right when I plugged it in.
It has the scroll wheel between the two buttons to scroll up and down pages. Along with vertical scrolling, the button moves left and right to scroll horizontally. I haven't seen much use for that, though, unless I'm viewing panoramic images or a notepad document (aka, never).
My only problem with the scroll wheel is the initial setting for vertical scrolling is 2 lines per click. I'm used to 6 lines or so, so I have to change that setting each time I plug the mouse in. In the systray, there's a little mouse there, where you can change these vertical and horizontal scroll speeds. Those are the only two settings you can change in the Rocketfish menu.
The design of the mouse is obviously influenced by Apple's Mighty Mouse. Comparatively, I find the Rocketfish model to be more comfortable on my hands. They are both egg-shaped, but this mouse is definitely more comfortable for my hand. You can compare for yourself at your local Best Buy store to see how you like it.
The only other problem I have with the mouse is the speed of the cursor. Rocketfish mice have the tendency to move the cursor much faster than a usual mouse. This annoys me, so when I use the mouse I have to go to the Control Panel and turn the cursor speed down. As a result, whenever I switch back to using the touchpad, I have to change the setting back. That's about the only complaint I have, and it's nothing major.
I'd definitely recommend the product to a friend, and anyone looking for a good mouse. Plus, in my opinion, it's the most aesthetically pleasing mouse next to the Mighty Mouse! I happen to love the "Apple product" look. It matches my white Sony Vaio laptop!
