What's great about it: 120Hz Easy Navigation Pane, Lots of input and outputs
What's not so great: No dvi out for computer use just stdn vga that all really
This tv looks so brilliant when you watch it for the first few times you feel confused on the high settings. Its because the quality is amazing and the 120hz refresh rate blows your mind.
'm advanced with electronics but the navigational menus are super easy to use access and understand. It has a fun power on feature. Offers universal control though simplelink to other lg products like the new lg bluray player.
For surround use tv optical out to a receiver this allows you to connect anything bluray, 360, computer ect. and have surround without changing modes.
My first flat screen tv and it has been more than pleasing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got the TV for Christmas, and it was the best present I ever got.It has the most stunning picture .I looked at some of the other big names players and this TV is by far the best.The picture clarity was excellent.The sound is superior.Lots of features on the remote.The Expert 1&2 mode has a color wheel,which brings great color clarity and details.The intelligent sensor is a great feature that really works well with different light settings.The 120 Hz give the picture a fresher look.If you decide to add a Scarlet to your living room you won't be disappointed .

What's great about it: Un-complicated menus, great stand with swivel action
What's not so great: No DVI input, but that didn't hold me back
This is a great TV!
I was looking for a nice TV in the 36" - 42" range and finally decided on the LG Scarlet 37" model. This model has been very satisfactory for us. It looks just as good as the Sony and Samsung models, and seemed to me to get just as good reviews, but costs a little less. This TV is on a nice swiveling stand, and has an easy access panel on the side great for connecting a digital camera and such. The HD picture is superb and the onboard sound is not bad at all. Better than an older Sony LCD TV I have. Overall this TV was well worth the money- and don't let anyone fool you by saying that there's no difference from 60Hz to the 120Hz. There is big difference and this TV handles it well. Sports look great on this set which makes up for about 70% of my TV watching.

This is the best TV I have ever owned. I narrowed down my search to this model and the Sony Bravia, and I made the right decision. The picture quality, especially in HD, is wonderful. I could not wish for a better system. There is no noticable blurring on the screen, and the sound is pretty loud for such small speakers. I am very impressed.

I Researched at lot of the new 40 inch and 42 inch 120Hz TV's for 2008. This is with out doubt one of the best. I hooked up a 40 dollar DVD player with the HDMI - The picture looks close to blu-ray quality. When playing movies you can turn the 120Hz truemotion on or off. When on it looks like your watching a live video feed. You can turn it off for a cinema look. Both are better quality than you see in the movies. The sound is also excellent.
The LG is a great TV. You wan;t be sorry if you buy this TV.
I have no complaints. If you are looking for built in internet it does not have that. However LG makes a blu-ray player with built in Netflix that can be hooked up via HDMI for 1080 viewing. You can order the 8.99 package, download movies and get one blu-ray movie at a time, and at the same time from Netflix. No limit on downloading.
LG makes a great product. Five Stars for this one. I compared samsung, sony, and others and this was the best of the lot.

I was looking for an LCD TV for a couple of months now. I read a lot of info all around. I decided to buy this TV because the LG Scarlet has all the new features like 120 HZ, 24p, contrast 50 000:1(only some Samsung models have this, but are more expensive) and the best audio speakers. When I got a chance to see a picture from the Scarlet in the local Best Buy I was in shock. No other TV gave me a picture like the LG Scarlet. Also, the LG is known as a very big name in Europe, and I am glad they have now started advertising in the US, since the quality is exceptional. Thank you LG for this great product.

What's great about it: This TV is amazing!
It was very easy to set up to our surround sound and Blu Ray player. It is user friendly and has an amazing picture! We purchased the 47" and we feel like we are at the movies every time we watch our DVD's. This is our first LCD purchase and we are very happy. I was not impressed with my brothers Samsung so I have been hesitant on purchasing my own LCD. All in all this was a great purchase for a great price!

Bought this tv last and i love it. shopped around for a month looking at different tv's and had it narrowed down to the sony bravia and sharp brands. got to say i picked the right one, picture is excellent right out of the box, sound is great, and the features you can't get any better. if your looking to buy don't look past this one.

We bought this a week ago, and pulled it out of the box to as clear a picture as we'd ever seen. The depth of the images is amazing. Just the fact that as the DirecTV tech finished the HD setup, he simply gushed over this being the best picture he'd seen yet. I just don't think you can go wrong here... I looked all over, at many different brands... this was the best bang for the buck I found. My previous TV was a Mitsubishi 48" 1080 HD rear projection. I loved that TV. This is even better. Look no further.

What's not so great: Levels of black, anti reflective screen, 120hz not noticable
Dont get me wrong, This is a good TV, But for the most part it doesnt deliver what it should. The anti reflective screen makes dark scenes look as if the colors are washing together, due to light black levels and the anti reflective screen only hurts that. The sports scenes arent any clearer than I have seen on a 60hz set. All in all it is not worth the price. My girlfriend bought this TV, but we will be returning it to get a 46' sony bravia or samsung ln550. same if not better picture quality, deep CLEAR blacks with a bigger screen for the same price. sounds good to me

got this as a surprise from my husband so i could have HD football games and i love it. Wii is great fun on it. so far I have really liked all my LG products and they are made in America.
I plan to get another LG tv for the bedroom. If it works stay with it and this tv works.

This tv is incredible. The picture was perfect right out the box. My wife paid for the extra service to have the guys from Geek Squad come out and adjust the picture. I thought it was just another scam but it made the perfect picture even better! Can't go wrong with this one

What's great about it: great color, contrast, and sound- easy set up
straight out of the box and onto the entertainment center. set up was not complex. remote functions are easy to follow.
power own is a bit slow- but not bad 5 second wait time estimate. Quality of sound, picture resolution, and contrast are awsome- and we do not have blu-ray or hd upgrade option installed yet. We can hardly wait for the blu-ray (can't seem to make up my mind on which brand/features or go with a gaming option)

What's not so great: WILL NOT LINK TO OTHER LG PROCUCTS IF RUN THROUGH CABLE BOX
HAVE HAD THIS TV FOR 2 WEEKS. NO PROBLEM EXCEPT YOU HAVE TO USE 2 REMOTES TO GET THE SURROUND SYSTEM TO FUNCTION WITH THE TV. WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ONE WHO WONTS GREAT PICTURE WITH CONTRAST THAT CAN'T BE BEAT.

What's great about it: very user friendly
What's not so great: haven't found one yet, not enought time in my busy day to watch it that often
WOW! what a sharp picture, bright whites, and defined blacks. I am using my playstation2 until my blu-ray comes in. I am impressed with the playstation2, I can not wait to see what blu-ray looks like on it. Scarlet is the only one I can stare at with out getting slapped by my wife!
