What's great about it: good looking, split rack in oven
What's not so great: fewer features than its predecessor
This range replaces LG model LRE30955ST, which failed systemically, was replaced, and failed systemically again. On the previous model, various parts of the stove (burner, oven, self cleaner) would shut themselves off arbitrarily. Geek Squad kept replacing the electronics, but it would subsequently fail. The current model no longer has the small size on the front right burner, no longer has the bridge on the left side, no longer has 5 levels on the warming drawer, no longer has the cute songs to tell you when it's at temperature, etc., and feels kind of tinny. In its defense, I've had it for a few weeks, and it's still working. Five stars to Best Buy and the Geek Squad, zero stars to LG for a bad design made worse by bad engineering. If I didn't need it to match the other (less than wonderful) LG kitchen appliances and fit into a custom sized counter, I would never have gotten another LG. $1400 for this piece of junk?

What's great about it: nice features - IF they work
What's not so great: unrelieable.... no spare parts available...
We had the first LG Range for 3 years, the vent broke - no spare part could be supplied & even with extended warranty we had to fight to get a replacement w/ similar features, without paying additional money. (Same model wasn't available anymore after 3 years, and new model was more expensive).
This replacement LG, we had for 2 years... This time, several parts should have been replaced, but same procedure: No Spare Parts available
Unless you want a new range, every 2 to 3 years & spend additional $300 - $350 for new extended warranty every time.. stay away.

I have owned this stove now for almost 3 years. I replaced a builder model Kenmore that had the electric coil burners. I love the convection feature on this stove and it cooks up a roast without drying it out. I have not encountered any issues with my control panels for turning the oven on or setting the burner temps. I use this stove at least twice a day and sometimes more depending on what I am doing for the day. I find it to be very dependable and an excellent buy. The only design change I would make to my stove, is to have a speckled glass top. They are easier to clean without showing smudges, scratches and smears. Love my LG stove!

What's not so great: Nothing yet
Bought in September to replace not even a 7 year old Frigedaire whose oven mother board blew out. It is truly worth the money. I LOVE the big oven and the warming drawer, putting both to use over the holidays with no problems getting everything done on time. This range is so much more solidly built than my old. Highly recommend.

What's great about it: Features are easy to use and convection prepared foods taste great.
What's not so great: Glass top surface scratches easily.
I have had this range for 3 months and it meets or exceeds my expectations. The range top heats quickly and distributes heat evenly to pans that I currently own (no special pans required). The range top cleans easily with products made for glass top ranges. The oven is a dream. The convection features cook quickly and food tastes better. The conventional oven features work perfectly. The warming tray is convenient and helps when I am cooking food in stages. I needed a locking feature for the oven and this one offers it--the feature is invaluable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A small dent on the side made the unit a mark down bonanza. Once installed I realized I truely had a wonderful cooking machine on my hands. I have never had one problem since installed in April 2008. While it has not had the use a family would require, I enjoy cooking and baking so do keep it busy.
I've also had several power outages and a hurricane and no problems in starting in back up. I would recommend it to anyone.

I would not buy another product of this kind. The oven starts up then shuts off after 5 minutes. Re-started and shuts off again! I'm having 15 people over for Thanksiving and now we have to make reservations. I'd advise you to read all comments before buying this product! I made that mistake once and will not make it again.

What's not so great: everything!!! Doesn't work, horrible customer service, terrible oven.
Purchased this oven 2 years ago. Within the first year the electronic pad was replaced twice. 2 years later it still doesn't work, but out of warranty now. Oven has a mind of it's own and only turns on when it wants to, electronic pad works some days and other days it won't accept any commands. Stove top will turn on, but often times it won't turn off!! Oven has to be pulled out and unplugged to get the stove top to turn off!! We also purchased the LG refrigerator to match. It, too, is beautiful, but a piece of junk. Ice maker will not work, and we have to purchase ice to put in the container to get ice from the door. I will never buy LG again, and I tell everyone that I know not to buy LG. HUGE waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave. All have required service under warranty and after expiration of warranty. The interior of the oven bubbled up with use and was not repairable. I have had numerous other problems with the appliances I bought. The refrigerator has been serviced twice, the second time at my expense!! The customer service rep has refused to take responsibility for the additional repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Range-top heating elements heat very quickly

I've always used gas-top stoves... but with the cost of gas going higher and higher, I decided to replace my Kenmore gas stove with an LG electric range. I'm very happy with the new range. The heating elements seem to distribute heat evenly. Water even boils quite quickly on the stove top (a criticism I had heard again and again was that water takes longer to boil).
Overall I'm very happy. And, my gas bill has gone down while my electric bill hasn't increased too much. Overall, I'm actually saving money by operating an electric stove.
I would recommend this to a friend!
