Don't buy this unit!! 10/22/2009

What's great about it: Looks
What's not so great: Constantly breaks down with outrageous repair costs.

"LG doesn't stand by their product. I was met with nasty customer service reps who passed the buck with no result. I spent almost $1000 on the cost of the unit & repairs before I decided to replace it with another brand. I refused to give LG one more dime of my money."

Don't waste your time 06/17/2009

What's great about it: Looks
What's not so great: Doesnt heat and didn't work.

"Don't buy this LG microwave. The very first time I try to heat food it didn't work. You spend good money thinking you are getting a top rated microwave to find out its not. I contacted BestBuy to have the microwave replaced with a new one. Should the new one also fail to work I will change microwave brand name."

What's great about it: Very stylish, Powerful, roomy, Strong fan.
What's not so great: Do not care for the presets.

"Got this on sale. Great value for the price we paid.
Works great! Very powerful. Easy to install took a little over an hour. Fits perfect and looks great! Fan works great moves allot of air on high, yeas it is a little loud on high, but nothing abnormal. Warming light seems like a gimmick. But hey its a light! Its only gonna do so much.
Controls are easy to use pretty much standard operation.
We do not care for the presets, Do not like seeing Chicken nuggets or mac and cheese on there, should be directions on inside of door for that. Looks a bit tacky to us. Lighting is very nice.
Nice addition to our kitchen. All in all this is a really nice product, most of our kitchen is LG and we are pleased with the performance and quality. Highly recommend this product."

What's great about it: Bright lighting, nice looking, back & forth and circular motion for plate during cooking
What's not so great: Unit died a week later. Warming lamp doesn't perform as I hoped, food comes out luke warm.

"After a week, the unit started occasionally shutting down about 30 seconds into microwaving. It displays "P" and all buttons are locked up until you unplug it. LG said "P" means it needs service, but the code doesn't provide a specific reason, nor does the manual."

What's great about it: Easy set up, took about 1 hour
What's not so great: Nothing so far!

"Love cooking in it not just for reheating food in. Product makes our kitchen even show with more class. Love the removable rack. Easy front operational touch pad. My 10 year twins love using it. It is a breeze to keep clean.
I especially love the over the range lighting when cooking.
Love this microwave!!!!!"

"I have had this product for three months and have not had any problems. The interior is roomy and cooks evenly. Easy to clean. User friendly as far as instructions go."

"I had this microwave for 3 days, I was cooking in my oven and the vent went on. The manual said it was normal, but after 3hs, I decided to call LG. They took my information and said they would call me back, they never did. I had to unplug the microwave. The next day I called and I was told I had to call a repiar company and fax then my receipt they would not arrange. The third party company said i would have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for the part.
I will return the oven to Best Buy, I only had it for 3 days!"
