Here’s the breakdown:
Pros:
It takes great pictures outdoors, I love the huge LCD screen, it’s easy to use, the zoom is incredible, and people (strangers) never have problems taking my picture with it.

Cons:
Like any camera it has a hard time taking pictures in low light areas. Even well-lit indoor pictures turn out pixelly. Finding the right setting for the amount of light is difficult (too many to choose from). The video function can’t zoom in or out while filming.

All in all, I’d definitely recommend this camera to others; it’s been great for me.

I purchased this Camera while i was living in Orlando , Fla. I knew the Camera was good when i bought ir , but i didnt realize how good until we went to the Wild Animal Kingdom. Live action shots of a killer whale halfway thru his jump , Perfect photo , no Blur whats so ever... I'll never own a diff. camera other than this one. Simple mode is great if my dad needs to use the camera too..! Great for old and young
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Optical zoom , well made , very good modes , easy to use
What's not so great: No viewfinder , indoor flash a little weak
I purchased the TZ4 2 weeks ago , and after the first 25 or so pictures I was sold on this Leica Lens and the ease of use...Good as point and shoot , travel camera and a second for the SLR . outdoors fantastic color & clarity with or without flash.Indoor up close 6-10 feet very good , outside 10 feet a little week....Macro Zoom Wonderful as is the normal macro.....
Great ease of use , great pictures very good price.......
As a 45 year picture taker , not all pictures will come out great , but this little powerhouse will get you some fantastic shots..........I also own a Nikon D-70 and a Nikon Coolpix 7900 the TZ4 fills in the short zooms and a great addition to the Nikons.

What's great about it: zoom, size, picture clarity
This is an outstanding product and value. zoom is outstanding for camera size. Fully auto mode is the best I have used.

What's great about it: Has many great features -- 10X, burst mode
What's not so great: Non-standard PC cable, blury pictures with zoom
Was originally very excited about this camera. I wanted a good Optical zoom and high MP. The intelligent auto feature was appealing and got good reviews when I was researching the 'TZ#' family of Panasonic cameras before choosing the TZ4. I looked at the TZ5 in stores and was impressed during demo. I took a few pictures after purchase and was happy. First important use was my sons HS graduation. I used the intelligent auto feature and was very disappointed. Out of 25 shots, 20 were blury. I was zoomed in at 10x most of the time. Most looked fine on the display but when viewed on the computer, they were poor. The stabilizer feature was on, but did not seem to perform well in this experience. I was expecting a mini usb connection for the PC and found that it is something else, even smaller. I am a novice photographer and have only used simple point-n-shoot cameras in the past and get good results. I was expecting better out of this advanced camera. Am taking it back to the store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
