What's great about it: great value for money, superb clarity in bluray movies and High Definition gaming What's not so great: nothing so far
"so i bought this i did have a 42" sharp aquos which was outstanding and was a bit worried about the jump to this 73" dlp as for bluray movies its incredible looks jus as clear and any lcd i have seen disney cars if my fav so far it really shows off the tv, as for gaming gears of war and gears of war 2 look insane you feel like you are the actual characters and its still crisp i love the fact u can adjust everything i have tweaked mine to what i believe is perfection as for sound it does not compare to a sound system but for a tv it is great. i have had this for about 1 month now it produces no heat what so ever unlike the lcd made my room feel like a sauna. as for fast motion movies and games i saw no blurryness at all and i was tempted by the 120hz version of this tv but i saw no real difference that made it worthe while for me to spend an extra $1000 on it with that money i purchased a nice bose sound system of which bestbuy helped me find the right choice for me."

What's great about it: Its Size What's not so great: Picture Quality
"First I must say I have been use to a Mitsubishi 65" Diamond series, CRT 1080i rear projection tv for the last 6 years. I had read many reviews before purchasing this 73 " DLP. All the reviews I had read were great. So I made the plunge and brought it home. After setting up and turning on, the first thing I noticed the on screen menu was lacking in clarity and "crispyness", if you will. The setup was quite simple. The main thing this TV was going to handle was xbox 360 gaming and movies and some basic cable and over the air HD channels.
One of the things that bugged me was on some scenes you could see the screen material on top of the colors especially on white backgrounds. Another thing was the blurring of fast motion scenes. It does not handle them well.
The gaming aspect of it was not good either. I found myself struggling to accept the picture before me. All of the games that were demoed on this tv were all 1080p rated. I did have the HDMI setup. I must say the still pictures or lack of motion were on par with other tvs of same specs. Where this tv fails is the motion. It becomes blurry and you find yourself adjusting your eye focus to compensate.
The movies I demoed where also HD DVD movies on the now expired HD DVD xbox 360 player. Once again the still dvd menus looked good but where it lacked again is in the fast moving scenes. The colors were good.
What I did like about this tv is the user control color settings and the intergrated tv guide menu. THe size is a great aspect and well as the footprint it leaves. It does not produce alot of heat. The sound quality is par, but I would think most of you buying this would have an sound system set up. As far as displaying still images the picture quality is outstanding.
I found myself very disappointed in the overall picture quality and that is what prompted the return of this tv to the store. I did however replace the 73 with a 58 " panasonic plasma that so far has blown me away with every category. I hope this helps the people out there who has owned HD rear projection CRT TVs. Your best bet is to go with plasma as this will give you the closest thing you were use to watching. I recommend not buying into the DLP technolgy as it is a dying breed but a good value for size. If size is what your after you cant beat DLP for the money, but if its picture quality your after look to plasma."

What's great about it: You can not beat the picture quality. The money that was spent for the TV could not have been spent in a better way. What's not so great: Everything is great about TV, I think everyone should own one!!!
"I would highly recommend this television for anyone who is in the market for TV's. There are plenty of outlets so you can connect many of the gadgets that are necessary in today’s techno age to stay hip with the technology with a very compatible TV like the 73’ TV has. The system is easy to hook up and the guys from Best Buy are fantastic including the guys that delivered the TV."

What's great about it: When people walk it, all they can say is "WOW" What's not so great: Dust gets on it all the time
"I bought this for my husband in January in time for the "Super Bowl". Geek squak did the instalation, and I bought just about everything that could go with it. Glass base furniture, Suround Sound, Play Station 3, Surge Protector, Wireless Spekers, DVD plalyer and the top of the line Harmony Remote to work it all with. I was like that commercial "I want it all, and I want it NOW". Best Buy was terrific. They got it ALL delivered on time, and did a complete instalation. They even gave us a lesson on how to WORK all the components. It was expensive, but WELL worth the WOW factor."

What's great about it: great picture, love the surge protection thats built in. if the power fluttters it has a built in delay What's not so great: needs more imputs
"This is a great item. I have been buying mitsubishi products since the 70"s and this is the best so far. Great picture, sound if you dint have a av unit, but who wouldnt with this baby. The clarity and crispness are remarkable. The hd is like walking right into the picture itself. Plasma and lcd have nothing on this tv. I only wish that there was a larger one. HAHAHA 73 is great though for a large family room. Just big enough and does not overwhelm. BRAVO Mitsubusihi"

What's great about it: Value, size, picture What's not so great: No split screen
"I upgraded from the Mitsu WD-62628 to this 73 monster and love it even more than I did the older unit. I was however very disappointed to find out that there is no split screen function on this unit which I did have on the 62. I'm embarassed to have missed the absence of this feature, but there is a SPLIT button on the remote that is simply not used."

What's great about it: beautiful picture, great sound, good value
"I have waited years to get a big screen television. My son and I went to all the stores and looked at all the tv's in our price range. This has the most bang for the dollar. The picture is beautiful. Hubby was not on board with turning the den into a media room and he wanted no part of the decision making. As soon as he watched the frist movie on this beauty...he turned to me and just said, "WOW!" Beautiful picture, great sound, good price...if you are in the market for a big screen for your media room you will not be disappointed with this tv."

First time DLP buyer

What's great about it: Bright, colorful, huge cinema-like experience What's not so great: having to replace the bulb every 2-3 years
"Bought this HDTV about a month ago. Came into the store actually in search of a LED DLP tv, but this one simply stood out as the one with the better picture quality. I don't like DLPs. I would easily prefer a plasma flat panel tv, but I wanted a cinema-like experience from a very large screen tv. Large screen plasmas are too expensive, so I settled for this monster 73" DLP hdtv. The picture quality is flawless: It is clear, very bright, blacks are inky black ( unlike the poor blacks found in most LCD tv's), and the colors on screen are gorgeous. Local hd is darn good, but watching Planet Earth on Bluray is one awesome experience! My wife normally cannot tell what is hd and what is not hd. However with this 73" hdtv she has said two things while watching the Bluray movies, Planet Earth and Swordfish: "Wow! Look at the colors, they are very pretty!" and "You are right. I can see more detail." Bluray and this mitsu DLP hdtv make even a 1980s film look as if it were filmed yesterday. Only downside is having to replace the lamp. I guess it will be worth it. Hope it helps and good luck"

What's great about it: Great picture, intuitive interface What's not so great: None
"This HDTV has an amazing picture in the showroom and at your home. Easy to setup and change, automatically modifies 4x3 ratio programs to fit the 16x9 by stretching the outer left and right side of the picture, the center remains true to form. I shopped quite a while before I found the HDTV that did everything I might want to do including attaching a computer. A true home theater experience."
