"Read the product info thoroughly before buying or posting a negative review about a product you've never even tried. The info clearly states on the overview page "Can be operated by NiMH battery pack (not included) or 3 AAA batteries (not included)" as well as "NiMH battery pack or 3 AAA batteries (not included)" on the specifications page under "Battery Type". Some friends have this same unit and we use them all the time out at the desert. They work great for the money you pay."

No NiMH Battery Pack Included 06/17/2008

What's not so great: No NiMH Battery Pack Included!

"They seem to be pretty good radios, although there is no NiMH battery pack included! It clearly says on the website description that the battery pack is included so I was pretty disappointed with that.
I can't speak for their actual performance because they will be getting returned for ones with a pack included."
