these speaker are great.the sound that come out of them is unbelivieable great buy wish i did it sooner.i cant wait to get more power running throw these only have 75 watts per channel and they still sound great

What's not so great: Nothing that I can see at this point
I needed to upgrade from a Bose Acoustimass speaker set and have always liked Polk equipment. This set delivers very clear, natural sound and paired with a Polk sub it gives movies a theatre like quality.

What's great about it: Sounds Great, looks great
These speakers are incredible! Crisp, Clean Sound and no distortion whatsoever at high volume I have a pair of these with a polk CS-20 center channel The bass and sound quality booming from the speakers brings a smile to my face every time
Make sure to calibrate your sound (If your reciever can) when you hook them up though. I ran the MCACC calibrator on my Pioneer receiver and it made the speakers sound even better

What's great about it: Definition of sound.
What's not so great: Nothing.
Looking for a great speaker? Look no further. This speaker will blow you out of the water. The highs are super crisp. The lows are not muddy, but defined. If you want great sound, this is a good starting point. You won't be disappointed.
Pair up two of these, and you will have a great sounding system. Look for a good center speaker like the CS10 or CS20. Your surrounds will sound great if you use the TSI100's or preferably the TSI200's.

What's great about it: Exceptional Sound, Elegant Styling
Excellent sound reproduction. Highs are crisp and clean, mids smooth and even, and the bass has a tight thump without distorting. Two TSi500s make up the front L & R of an all Polk TSi 5.1 surround system (CS20 and TSi200)…the TSi components complement each other exceptionally well.

What's great about it: Stylish, Very High Quality, Excellent Price, and Great Sound

I have owned Polk Audio since the 70's and have understood that Polk Audio products are "Top Of The Line." I moved my existing Polk Audio Speakers (5.1 surround) back and inserted these as Front L/R. I power my 7.1 Surround with a very powerful A/V Receiver and I am now seriously considering replacing Rear L/R and Back L/R with the very same speaker in order to truly upset the balance of apartment living. The bass (subwoofer) response that comes out of these TSI-500's is well more than enough that I don't need this 380-watt powered SubWoofer, but again, as an Apartment Dweller, I realize that I am not here for a popularity contest. Through my BluRay Player, Open-Reel Deck, FM Tuner, or HD Satellite Receiver the sound quality from these speakers is at or above the level of "Superb."

What's great about it: Great response (+/- 2.0 dB 45-20,000 Hz), Sleek look, Price
What's not so great: Grill is not very sturdy, which only matters while you're removing it
I did not get a chance to hear these speakers in the store, so I was a little hesitant ordering them. I liked how the TSi400's sounded in the store, but planned on putting a lot of power through my speakers, so I decided the TSi500's might be a better choice.
I've listened to the majority of high-end speaker manufactures (Vienna Acoustics and vintage JBLs being my favorites) over the years, so I know what "good sound" sounds like. I spent a lot of time trying to setup a budget and figure out what I wanted to accomplish. Music took precedence over movies, with ~$3-4k budget overall. I picked up the Pioneer Elite SC-05 for my receiver. That left about a grand for my fronts, which is where the TSi500's came in. I've ordered a CS20 for the center and am tossing around he idea of a second pair of TSi500's for my rears.
Long story short, If you are in the sub $1000 range for front speakers, these speakers are sure to please. They sound great for music, but are powerful enough to make a rockin home theater.
