It replaced an Infinity 12" with 300w power. Although my room is only 16x12 I was afraid this wouldn't be able to replicate my Infinity. But this baby rocks!!! Only have it on about half way and the bass is amazing :-). Not the greatest cabinet but since most people have the subwoofer in a corner or hidden it doesn't matter at all. It can easily be covered as the size is not big.
What's great about it: Price on sale was half off!! No way you match something like Polk for that price.
What's not so great: Cabinet covering.

My floor speakers have 10" woofers in them! I never thought I needed a sub. This one was half price, $125 in a holiday sale so I though what the heck. I was already buying a new receiver for my new 3D tv.
This thing is hooked up to my Yamaha 525w 5.1 receiver and sounds great. I can hear this thing clear as day in my shower in the back of the master bedroom on the other side of the house. I highly recommend this sub. It has clean smooth tight bass, and no rattling from the unit it self, only everything else in the room including your brain. Perfect enhancement to music and movies!

I was able to get this sub for half off, so I think that this is a pretty good unit.
This sub has a pretty decent range for a beginners sound system. It has the perfect volume level for the room I am using it in, however; in order to reach this volume I need to have the volume knob almost all the way turned up.
By far my favorite thing about this subwoofer is the power switch. It has On, Off, and Auto. The auto feature is really nice because the sub is only on when it is required.
Bottom line is that this is a pretty decent unit if you are able to get it at a good price. And keep in mind that it does not come with an audio cable.
What's great about it: Auto On Mode
What's not so great: Maxed Volume Level

Great sound for the money. Adds a lot of depth to a surround sound system. Plenty loud. Used with Dolby 5.1 surround sound system / Jamo in-wall speakers / Sony receiver / Room is 22x16 with 20 foot high vaulted ceiling. 10 inch and 200 Watt seems to fill the space well - no need to go to a larger sub-woofer.

this sub has met all of my expectations. The lows are handled smoothly with very good definition between notes. It has performed well as part of my surround sound system for television and movies and has done well with music also. Being part of the older generation, I have not used this sub at extremely loud volumes or with the more aggressive base heavy music of this day and age so I cannot give any pros or cons on that. I can only assume it will perform well if my listening habits are satisfied. My only complaint is that it is front firing with the small port on the bottom. i have cats and that was a concern, but so far so good. I use a piece of plexi-glass under the sub to reflect sound out from the bottom port so my carpeting doesn't eat it up.
What's great about it: smooth with good defination

I got this sub on sale and am very happy with it. Good lows and enough power to fill my family room. It can be a little boomy when turned up too high but what would you expect at this price point? I have it set up with Boston Acoustics A26 bookshelf speakers and matching center with in ceiling BA rears. I took the time to play with the speaker volumes and xover frequencies to give the whole setup a clean and well balanced sound. Just finished watching Cowboys and Aliens in Bluray and the sound was fantastic - The woofer provided enough punch without overwhelming the rest of the speakers. Hope this helps you.
What's great about it: value. excellent for price.

I bought this a couple days before Black Friday for $125 and I think that was a GREAT price for this sub. The amp in the klipsch promedia ultra 5.1 system I have burned out so I bought this to replace it and that's exactly what it did. It sounds just as good and I enjoy cranking it up for every movie we watch. This is my first polk purchase and I will definitely buy from them again.
What's great about it: Great price, easy to set up, good quality sound.

I was on the hunt for a new sub for some time now. The PSW110 was at the top of my list for when I decided to buy. I saw around Christmas it was half off so it was a no-brainer to buy it instantly that day! At regular price this sub has plenty of power and a nice punchy bass that you would want. Now we aren't comparing this to a $1000 sub so I am not saying this is the best sub ever but by all means is more than enough for my house. I use this in a all open bi-level house where the sound travels far and wide. It fills my room and I haven't even broke it in yet and it's maybe half power. I would hesitate to buy this for any reason!
What's great about it: Great bang for your buck!

I bought this sub to complement my Klipsch KF28 floorstanding speakers and found it to be a total disappointment. I did give it a chance to break in, moved it around the room but wasn't able to get back anything other than booming mediocrity. This sub went back to the store.

I got this for half price on black Friday. It worked for a month then quit working. Swapped it for a new one. We'll see...
Other than that, no complaints. Good sound, plenty of bass, simple connections, nice looks. I'll update if there are more troubles.

I needed a replacement for a larger and more powerful sub I had purchased in the late '80's. It actually is less overwhelming for the room than the prior one and I am very satisfied with it. I paid approximately $100 and it does as good or better than the $300+ model I had before. One small glitch--one of the hookup options shown on the instructions that came with the unit, which I desired to use, consisted of a single RCA cable from the "sub out" on my receiver to what is called an "LFE" input (which stands for low frequency effects) on the subwoofer. The instructions showed this "LFE" input as a separate one on the back of the subwoofer. However I could not find it and was considering returning the unit because I had purchased an RCA cable for this purpose. On closer inspection I found that although the instructions indicated unit had left/right (L/R) "line in" jacks intended for receivers with "pre out" connections, the right connector was actually labled "R/LFE." Apparently on my model this "R/LFE" connection was designed to do double duty as a single LFE connection. The single RCA cable running from the sub out connected to this "R/LFE" connection on the subwoofer seems to work fine.

Bought this on a black Friday sale for 120 I believe...an unbeatable value for an audiophile on a budget. Very clean sound, which you would need to spend about $400 to beat. Better than any other subwoofers in this price range that I have heard. I use for music, tv and movies, and always sounds great. Nice feature is standby mode which auto-detects signal.

I originally purchased the Polk PSW10 and it sounded amazing until you put a Blu-Ray in. It could not handle the big hits, I returned it and got the PSW110, 50 more watts RMS. Wow, it makes all the difference. This thing hits hard, it shakes the windows. I find myself turning the bass down. I run it at about 60% volume and it is plenty loud enough.
The best thing is it does not make rattling noises and it does not have trouble with explosions and very big bass hits. It is clean and it thumps. I got it on sale for $125 and I could not be happier. The build quality is also substantially better than the PSW10.
What's great about it: Loud, inexpensive, crisp, low price
What's not so great: Design isn't the best but it is still very nice

I bought this at Best Buy when it was on-sale for only $125 skrilla. Which was half price and cheaper than anywhere else. I was almost losing money by not buying it. I used this to replaced an 8" passive Logitech subwoofer. If you are wondering yes, this sub can be hooked up to AV receivers that still have only passive sub hook ups. Anyway put in Blade Runner and I was blown away by the bass, this thing hits pretty hard. The speaker cabinet itself is very nice. Keep in mind though this thing is HUGE, so make sure to make the necessary measurements if space is an issue. I use this mainly for movies and haven't listened to any music with it yet, but after seeing the results from movies I have no doubt that it would kick some serious bass with any kind of music you throw at it. Paired this with Klipsch Icon KF-26 floor standing speakers, a Polk CS10 Center channel, and a couple of Polk bookshelf speakers and it really brought everything together. All in all this is an excellent entry-mid level sub and for the price of $125 you can't beat it.
What's great about it: The price and performance.
What's not so great: It's huge, but not a problem for my place.
