What's great about it: does a great job turnd down low
What's not so great: nothing yet
"my original sub quit (Denon) after 10 years, I actually think the sub channel on the receiver went out. I bought this sub about a week ago and used the #2 wireing directions and it is working great, I really think wireing it this way adds more bass to the surround speakers in the front. That could be because I am using 18 guage wire. Also using a bigger wire I have noticed the sound much clearer and I don't need to turn the receiver up as loud to really enjoy it. I can actually turn it up to the first number and hear it just fine. When you are told the bigger the speaker wire the better it is a true statement."

Great subwoofer, shakes the house at half power

What's great about it: Sound, size
What's not so great: None
"We have this subwoofer and the Polk RM85 surround sound set. This is hooked up to a Denon 7.1 receiver. We use it 90% movies, 10% music and games. These are in a 18*14 living room.
We have the subwoofer set at only half volume/power. Depending on what is coming through, it can make the whole house shake. Our movies have this sub rumbling our floor and feeling it in our chests!
We are very happy with this subwoofer! It does a great job of producing clean powerful sound!"

What's great about it: nice crisp bass responce, not too bad looking either
What's not so great: nothing yet
"Bought this subwoofer at best buy yestersay, and all i can say is WOW! I replaced a sony pro 100 watt subwoofer with this..Great bass responce even at lower volumes! the salesman demonstrated different types of subs, and the difference between klipsch and polk is very little except at ear spliting volume. at half the price of the more expensive models, i garantee you wont be disapointed! and with the polk front speakers, it sounds like your in a theater! definately recomended!"

What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: looks a little plain
"This is a great subwoofer. It has more the enough power for my 15x12x9 room. Have it hooked up to my pioneer vsx-1017 and yamaha satellite speaker and this sub just blends in and doesnt over power the little yamaha's. After this purchase I will have no problems with buying polk speakers in the future. Also the sales lady was very friendly and tried to find the sub for me...took sometime but it was because I got last one."

What's great about it: The price
"This polk 10" subwoofer is a pretty good subwoofer. The price is really affordable for people and reasonable for what you are getting. I would personally go with a klipsch sub10 or sub 12 over this, but for the price difference this subwoofer may be better. It also depends on what you want the subwoofer for. This subwoofer is good for movies and smoother styles of music. The klipsch would be more for getting that punch out of your bass in hip-hop or rap songs. I have tested all the subs at bestbuy and this sub is a good value for the price that you are paying. You could probably even get 10% off with the coupon that bestbuy sends out quite often."

What's great about it: LOUD!!! Crazy amounts of low end thump.
What's not so great: The color and that's about all.
"Well, Klipsch is a little out of my price range. So when recieving my Triple Points Reward Zone birthday card I decided that my old Aiwa (9+ years)sub was not going to cut with my new 7.1 Sony STR-DG820 Reciever. As much as wanted the Klipsch sub I am more than happy with the performance of the PSW110. It never goes out of control and the bass is warm and smooth with a nice snap from the punch it provides. This is definitely a great sub at a budget friendly price. If you can afford the high end stuff by all means do it. I, personally, have yet to be let down by Polk. They seem to have nailed the right mix of price and performance. I can only complain that its not overpowering and sometimes when Optimus Prime is putting Decepticons through wringer you want the explosions to seem like they're going to bring the house down. Also, if I could get it in a wood grain finish like walnut it would be PERFECT!"

What's great about it: Very solid bass. Powerful enough to rattle windows.
What's not so great: nothing so far.
"Bought this sub to complete my system. I couldn't be more pleased. Paired this with klipsch vc-25 center channel. Klipsch vb-15 bookshelfs. And four klipsch quintet speakers for satellites. This system rocks. Home theater sound is excellent. And with music this set-up far exceeded my expectations. Especially the subwoofer. Strong and tight bass."

What's great about it: Easy Setup, Price, Appearance
What's not so great: None...
"Bought this sub to add to my Denon 2808ci. Compared to the PSW-10 spend the extra money for double the power.
This SUB is in a 20x30 room and when I put Rambo in to test this out I couldn't believe it. I skipped right to the very last scene with the 50cal and constant explosions/gun-fire and didn't expect the tremor I got. Compared to the very high end magnolia subwoofers this is a great sub for the price range. The appearance is sleek and just looks powerful. I've had a few people make comments about it. The sub also comes with 2 options for the feet (was able to use rubber stoppers for my wood flooring). I have the sub at 1/2 power and when turned up this thing has some great deep bass while maintaining lows very well. I've yet to hear any sort of distortion with the sub about 14in" from the TV. If you do get any try running a CD for a couple hours to break in the Sub.
No cons thus far. If you want more then 200watts (which is alot for a standard movie viewer) then expect to pay double. My roommate already has complained enough though to turn this one down :O)
This review was based on a Denon 2808ci Receiver with wood flooring."

Great pick up!

What's great about it: Great sound for the price.
What's not so great: Wish BB sold the Cherry color too.
"Great addition to my 4 Bose 301s and center channel speakers. It thumps out some good lows. It adds perfect balance to my system (Insignia's 500W 5.1-Ch. A/V Home Theater Receiver). It was a little pricy but well worth every buck. I wish it was one that would go on sale more often so I could pick up another."
