I can't warn you strongly enough NOT to purchase a LG Refridgerator. We have had nothing but issues witht this unit. The unit broke two closure clips on the doors in the first 3 days, neither Best Buy or LG could identify the clip and further more had no idea of what it did or if it was needed! We have had the Geek Squad out to fix it, couldn't help. LG has been MIA in helping with this mess. We have had the doors fixed by both Best Buy and LG because they wouldn't stay closed or when one closed the other opened. LG came out and replaced the doors and now they don't open one at a time. The amount of time we have had to invest to track down help has been enormous. Do Not Purchase a LG Refridge.

This refrigerator seemed like a good choice, but within 5 months of purchase the fan which circulates the air stopped working. It seemed that the fan connection was bad and was repaired 3 days after we called LG, but by then the food spoiled. It is a month later and, surprise, it has stopped working again. We just went grocery shopping and all our food is going to spoil again. Pay extra for a better refrigerator, you'll save money on your groceries! Also, the ice tastes horrible. They say it is our water, but the water out of the tap if fine... and yes, we flushed the lines to the ice maker... thanks LG!

Bought 2 years ago for remodeled kitchen. Not used during the winter. Stopped working this weekend. Luckily we kept the 8 year old whirlpool refrigerator it replaced because it still works. Transferred food to it. You would expect quality when paying over $1,400.00 for a product. Waiting for repair. LG, Life Is Good......NOT!!

I have this refrigerator less than 2 years and the COMPUTER BOARD went bad. It took 10 days to order this and have installed.
I would never expect such poor quality from LG, what deception!!!
Pro: It looks nice
Cons: Unreliable, difficult to find and expensive parts
Even extended warranty will not save you to stay at least 1 week without refrigerator.
Bottom Line: Buy from another brand, even the cheapest for sure will last longer.
What's great about it: It looks nice
What's not so great: Unreliable, difficult to find parts and expensive maintenance.

Let me start by saying that the refrigerator was great. I have owned it for just over 6 months and it just died one day. I called LG and they cheerfully told me that it is under warranty and have me the number of a service center locally. After a couple days, the service folks showed up and told me it needed parts and that he would order them but that it would take 3-4 business days for parts to arrive then they would schedule to have them installed. It turns out that both computer boards went bad. Due to LG not having parts available in Americas 5th largest city and their unwillingness to ship the warranty parts overnight, I am without a refrigerator for 8-10 days. This is an unacceptable amount of time to be without a major appliance like this. They had the ability to ship overnight, but felt that this doesn't qualify. If you choose this refrigerator, just hope you don't need warranty service.

I purchased this unit a couple of years ago without doing much research. BIG MISTAKE!! I've had problems with the main control board and a brief online search turned up many people with the same issue. And like all of them, the board finally went out altogether and the entire fridge/contents with it. LG customer service blew it off and said that I should have purchased the extended warranty. The final repair bill was $500. I WILL NEVER AGAIN PURCHASE ANY LG PRODUCT AND ENCOURAGE YOU TO THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU DO!!!!!
What's great about it: Worked fine for a few months.
What's not so great: It went bad quickly and has never been the same since.

We completely updated our apt. with all stainless steel appliances. We were very limited on what we could purchase because of our space. We purchased 5 appliances and were given an additional 20% off on top of the sale prices. That was the best part of the whole deal.
The fridge is a bit nosier than we would of expected. Not loud by any means, but you can hear it. The space in the fridge is limited, but it is only 3 of us so the room is good.
Stainless is very hard to keep clean so if you enjoy cleaning everyday, get stainless if not... don't get stainless. I enjoy having to clean it everyday. You also need special cleaner and need to wipe the cleaner a certain way then buff it out to achieve the correct clean.
Overall it is a good product so far. We have only had it for about a month. They need to ask me this in about one yr.
What's great about it: looks very nice!
What's not so great: nothing after a month

Perfect feature list for our family as we have no interest in door-accessible water and ice. We are not using the ice maker (not interested) so this review does not apply to that feature at all.
Nice, sturdy construction; shelves and bins are secure.
The main freezer bin has about 1/2 inch of fore-aft "play" which allows it to slide back just enough to touch a square axle that is part of the drawer guide. This doesn't affect the performance of the refrigerator; it just makes a clicking sound when the freezer drawer opens and closes.
All in all, we like this a lot. One of the few units that fit under our low cabinets!
What's great about it: Design, performance, size
What's not so great: Cosmetic freezer drawer issue

Now I know why other brands don't make a french door model in thes small size.
Unless style is your only concern, do yourself a favor and go with a different model. I went with this one (even though I read the bad reviews on the ice maker) because we wanted a french door and have a small space for a refrigerator.
First of all, it's so narrow, you have to open both doors every time anyway. The ice maker is an absolute joke! Oh, it make ice alright. Unfortunately it doesn't know when to stop. Then when you pull the tray forward to get some ice, the sensor knocks a bunch of cube either down in the abyss of the freezer, or onto the floor. EVERY TIME!!!
If you're limited on space, just get a nice stainless bottom freezer. Don't worry about the french door for this size. It's strictly for looks.

What's not so great: Ice maker, size

This unit looks amazing and has tons of space despite its small size. I am shocked at how much this fridge holds. The best part is the bins on the door. They hold tons of food. The freezer is also spacious and works very well without over freezing. We are mega happy with our purchase and really think its a great unit. We chose to not have the ice maker hooked up mainly because we have always used bottled water for ice cubes. If space is a concern and you still want a luxury fridge then this is the way to go. We had a small problem leveling out the fridge but its fine now. Also if its not level the doors will slightly be uneven. Takes a little time to get it to be perfect. Overall its an amazing unit.
What's great about it: Stainless Steel is beautiful, excellent temp control, great design.
What's not so great: Can be a pain to level out and get doors even, heard there are issues with ice maker.

I bought the same model as Jeff from NY at about the same time. I did not buy the extended warranty for the same reasons. The ice machine worked just fine during warranty, but the "ice bucket full" censor never worked. The ice machine had to be turned off when the collection bucket became full. Two months out of warranty, the fan for the motor needed replaced. Just recently ice machine started to make smaller ice cubes and less frequently. Now ice has completely stopped. I will never buy LG applicances ever again and am advising anyone who will listen to avoid their products also.
What's great about it: refrigerator works
What's not so great: fan failed, ice machine failed, plastic parts come off

I love this fridge. I was in a similar situation as other reviewers, I had a space issue. This fridge fit the existing space perfectly. It looks beautiful, all the shelves move and come out for easy clean up. The side of the fridge is gray. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it but now that it's in, I prefer it to the black sides on my old stainless. The gray seems to blend in better.
What's great about it: looks beautiful & works great
What's not so great: freezer drawer is small

I purchase the LG Bottom Freezer Regrigerator stainless unit model #: LFC25760ST July 1, 2006 along with an LG Range & dishwasher as part of a kitchen remodel. Chose this model for it's nice looks and apparent functionality. Unfortunately, I did not purchase the extended warrenty on the new appliances, since I had not had any problems with the previous GE appliances I had in service for 10 years. About 14 months after purchase the ice maker broke and was not cover under the factory warrenty. A few hundred $ later the ice maker worked for a month and now I have been told the entire ice maker unit must be replaced and LG won't assist with any of this.
Bottom line, it is an attractive unit, the frig portion works great and is very spacious. However, the bottom freezer unit almost always catches on ice dumping cubes onto the floor. A design flaw that is not only annoying, but will cost you in time & cost for repairs. Would consider this product without an extended warrently.
What's great about it: Great looks and spacious refrigerator area
What's not so great: poor design of ice maker in lower freezer unit
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This refridgerator became a part of our family after our very old 2 door model stopped getting cold...in a hurry i went out to buy it...sadly i had to wait about 3 weeks for it to be delivered because my local Best Buy doesn't stock it, but it was truly worth the wait.
The things I like best are:
-The chime when the door is left open...because the french doors don't take up a lot of space when they are left open, the kids often don't shut it all the way when they are getting food out. The reminder beep works wonders!
-The 6 large bins on the door...are very easy to clean, they come right out and you can wash them and they adjust to lots of different positions to fit lots of different height items.
-The split adjustable shelves...truly I haven't adjusted mine...they work where i 1st installed them...but i like the idea that if i have something large i only need to adjust one side of the shelf.
-The freezer drawer, i thought i would hate it...but i love that it is very well lit and that it holds a large amount of food...not only does it have the 2 bins at the bottom but also a slide out drawer where i store meat and smaller items so that they don't get lost in the bins.
-The icemaker-does make a lot of ice...so no need to keep it on all the time...once we have enough ice, i just turn it off. I love that you can choose the size of the cubes and it came with a very large ice bucket.
-The slide out/dairy/lunchmeat drawer and the vegetable/fruit drawers- the cheese drawer is large enough to hold about 10 different types of cheese and the cheese stays fresh for a long time...my veggies especially lettuce, stays fresh at least a week longer than it did in the last fridge.
-Everything inside is easy to clean! The outside isn't too bad to get clean...wipes seem to work well to get rid of the kids fingerprints without too much hassle (i haven't had to buy any special cleaner!)
-Everyone that visits loves the design...very pretty
What I don't love:
-The side of the fridge is gray not black, so it doesn't match the stove that I also brought from the same line...not the end of the world (and in lots of homes you can't see the side)...but i wish it was black...
-The hinges at the top are not concealed like in the larger models of the same fridge...
-The doors don't shut all the way without a gentle final push...(most fridges have doors that are heavy enough that they will close all the way on their own, these will not...not even if you slam them they stop just short of closing then you have to push them shut)
What's great about it: fits the space i have and is still large and stylish
What's not so great: doors have to be pushed closed
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great refrigerator. I have a really small kitchen and needed a small but nice refrigerator to give me a lot of counterspace. This was the smallest fridge we could find - no other brand made one this size and it still holds A LOT of food. I also love that is has a quiet beep that lets you know if you left one of the doors open. Love this fridge!

I love this LG refrigerator.
I have limited space, this refrigerator has plenty of interior space while maintaining a small footprint.
The French door design is very functional and provides an elegant and balanced appearance.
I have a lot more space now then I had with my old refrigerator
I purchased this refrigerator through Best Buy, the delivery was on time and personnel were professional. The delivery window was 1.5 hours, not the common 8 hour window required by most major appliance retailers.

I've hated this refrigerator since about an hour after it was installed. It's too narrow (my fault--I shouldn't have purchased one with French doors.) I don't like having a freezer DRAWER--it's very difficult to get to the stuff on the bottom (again--my fault). The ice maker shelf broke about 3 mos after installation (and was repaired under warranty but I'm sure it'll break again.) The ice maker makes so much ice it overflows and when we open the freezer drawer, it gets pushed onto the freezer bottom. Cleaning that out is interesting! I use a dust pan to 'shovel out' the old ice. If you don't clean it out, the drawer eventually won't close.
The light in the refrigerator section is so large, it's difficult to put anything on the top shelf. And because it has sharp edges, I cut myself every time. I thought the French doors would be more energy efficient but to get anything in or out you have to open both doors anyway.
I'm hoping it breaks down soon! (or maybe I'll just move my 20 year old Amana back into the house and put THIS one in the garage!)
What's great about it: it fits in the space i have available
What's not so great: see review...
