"This TV is great. It is my first hdtv. After a lot of research I settled on this TV but never thought of anything other than a sony. GREAT picture w/o hd cable, GREAT sound.
When I plugged in my cable cable I got about 40 extra channels. Must be the tuners in the TV.

What's great about it: Awesome picture
What's not so great: Built in speakers.
"This TV is awesome, the clarity is really really good.
Plenty of inputs for additional devices, ie blue ray, xbox 360.....
The design is great, I have this Tv in my living room which is really bright, the glare from the windows is really reduced on the screen.
Purchase a surrond system to really enjoy this."

What's great about it: Good price and reputation
What's not so great: Zoom feature and manual
"The manual does go into some minute detail on the manual zoom feature, but not detail enough to make me understand what each does. Auto zoom in setup does not work the way I understand it to be or the feature is junk. I thaught it was to set the zoom per channel. I must set it per channel which is a royal pain. Takes a little while for picture to come on but eventually I am geting used to it. The picture in a picture while looking at the guide with cable tv is a nice thing. Not sure why I need a seperate remote for the tv."

What's great about it: Built in HD TV Tuner
What's not so great: Channel Changing
"I purchased this TV a week ago and really like it. Something that I didn't read about in other reviews is the internal HD TV tuner. I have analog cable so it looks like a normal TV, but the TV picks up 10 digital broadcast channels. It is great on the weekends since you pick up the basic channels in HD, thus the football games look great. The only think I don't like is how long it takes to change channels. I am a channel flipper and it a little frustrating not being to go up and down quickly, but not a big deal."

What's great about it: Set-up easy, good picture quality.
What's not so great: Convenience!
"Got this tv today, was easy to set-up. Ofcourse I had read the "specifications" online, and one that sold me into it was the PIP and pc connectivity. What a dissapointment! For starters, toy have to do through "tools" to get to pip, nd you can only do that if if you on pc mode. Then when you get pip, the only pip is "TV"-not cable, not from any other of the numerous other inputs that they provide. And even then, NO sound! I called SONY and they told me sound would come only from the pc in pip mode-who needs sound when working on for example a word document??? I was buying this for my bedroom where I do most of my work, upgrading from a 32" LCD. In terms of those features, no comparison. I am sending it back till they can come up with a tv that I consider multi-use, or shoud I say full-multi-tasking capable! If you are looking for a great picture, this tv is top-class though!"

What's not so great: Lack of PIP, but not something I would use regularly anyways
"This is a great TV. It is my third Flat Panel LCD-TV I have purchased. I went to Best Buy on black friday with the intention of buying the featured 40" Samsung, but I saw this TV for $100 more, and bought it immediately. It is a great tv so far, as is expected with the Sony Bravia line. Awesome picture, and the sound is always great."

What's great about it: Great picture in HD.
What's not so great: Very slow start up when you turn the power on.
"I have owned this tv for just over 2 weeks. The picture looks incredible in HD. Only one complaint is how slow it is to show a picture when you turn the power on. I have a 26 inch Toshiba LDC HDTV in my master bedroom and it shows a picture a lot quicker at the initial turn on. Other than that, no complaints. Very happy with my purchase!"

"I have been looking for a long time!!! All of my TVs have been Sony’s and I have NEVER been let down by them. This set is another reason why I buy them. When I looked at the sets on the floor this set had a great picture and the built in speakers sound good. The input stage is set up well with all of the inputs you should ever need. It’s been here a week and I still can’t believe how good it looks."

What's great about it: Excellent size and picture for the price
What's not so great: PC connections could be better, like including a firewire port
"My wife and I did tons of research and the Bravia offered the sharpest and best picture quality than similarly priced flat screens. However, there were extras we hadn't figured on: cables, delivery and set up, dvd up-converter, etc...
The picture remains sharp even during fast action sequences, there is the occasional pixellation but I think that is more of a signal quality issue from the cable company than from the TV itself since it doesn't happen when watching DVDs.
We've been watching the TV for several weeks now and it still amazes, we're really happy with our purchase."

"I finally came into the 21st Century and purchased my first HD, flat panel. I love it. The picture is awesome and the size of this TV is perfect for my den. It is a great looking set as well. I have owned it for a few months now and the only thing that I don't like about it is the length of time it takes to turn on. It reminds me of the old days when you had to wait for the tubes to warm up! But I have gotten use to it and it really isn't a big issue. I recommend this TV for anyone who is looking for a great quality flat panel at an affordable price."
