I purchased this refridgerator as an open box model so I got it for less than it was even priced at. It's a large unit so make sure you have the room for it, and both the inside of the refridgerator and the door have customizable shelves so you can rearrange it for your needs. I like the bottom freezer, it has more room than it looks like it does, and the ice maker works great. I've had it for about two months now and it's cut my energy bill significantly over my last unit, but I haven't had it long enough to review it's reliability.
I would definitely recommend it to any and all that like bottom freezer refridgerators and have the space to fit it.

I normally don't get excited about kitchen appliances, but I admit to being a little thrilled with this LG refrigerator.

I've owned it for about two months now, and it's been great. Keeps nice cold temperatures and does everything it should. Nice-looking, too. And it's so nice to have the fridge at eye level, unlike the top-freezer model this replaced.

While I do hear the compressor, it seems quiet to me. Never distracting. And I like that when I open the door, I can hear the fans power down until the door closes again.

If you're looking for a good, solid refrigerator value and you don't want to spend two-grand on a model with digital readouts and built-in televisions, I recommend this model heartily.

What's great about it: Handsome, performs flawlessly.

So far we really like this refrigerator. The store we went to did not have one and would take a week to get it ordered, but they found one at another store of theirs and sent us there and we were able to purchase it that day.... The delivery went very smoothly and they brought the product undamaged and in excellent shape.... Runs extremely quiet and produces tons of ice for us.... Since we just go it will have to get back later and let you know how well it held up.....

What's great about it: Even though it is rated as 2.5 cft smaller then what we had it seems larger..

This refrigerator looks nice in my small kitchen. It cools and freezes exactly as it should.

Features I particularly like:
- large storage bins on the refrigerator door
- half-width shelves that can be individually adjusted
- full-width freezer shelf and bin

What's great about it: Good price

What's not so great: Doors dent easily, freezer door has to open more than 90 degrees for basket to pull out all the way

I only just received this fridge so i can't speak as to longevity or quality, but wow does it look great! Plenty of room, especially in the freezer (i don't know about everyone else, but I've always had way more issues with running out of room in the freezer than in the fridge), but the fridge is spacious too. I love the adjustable shelves, the door bins, and the open door alarm. It looks great, very sleek and stylish, and you can't beat the price (comparable items were $100-$200 more). Couldn't be happier.

Much better design than our old side by side, and takes up lots less space while having plenty of room: great interior design with good visability and flexibility to fit various size grocercies. We like having an interior icemaker too.

I'm on my 3rd replacement frig and just now I noticed the freezer gasket
is warped and not sealing well.
1st LG frig (delivery 1/10) was super loud. LG won't replace but BEST BUY did (way to go best buy) took a while but they were super nice.
2nd LG frig (delivered 5/10)the plastic floor of the frig was coming upglued. LG replaced this frig.
3rd LG frig ( delivered 9/10) freezer gasket warped.
LG warranty is only good for one year from the initial frig. Best not to buy an LG but if you do buy it from Best Buy and get the extended warranty- you'll need it.

What's great about it: size

What's not so great: everthing

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have had the LG fridge for a bit over two years and circuit board burned up and LG does not cover it under the standard warranty. Tried to get LG to see they make low quality products; they do not agree. We already lost a dish washer from LG and now have a Whirlpool instead. Need to pay $300 to get the frige fixed; after about two years of use. It is not a quality product and not good value for your money. Features and performance are as expected; when it works.

Will not buy any LG appliances ever again. Their customer service is way below what it needs to be and their supervisors do not side with the customer at all.

What's great about it: It is white; just like we ordered it

What's not so great: Quality is rock bottom and LG customer service is even worse

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

in Aug. 2008 and yesterday it died on us. The repair man came today and said the main computer burned out and that to repair it would be $450. To have a major part burn out in less than 2 year is a surprise on something like a refrigerator especially from a company with a reputation like LG.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've owned this for several months and performance-wise am very pleased. My electric bill has gone down a bit (after replacing an ancient 25-year-old unit), the compressor is quiet, and I like that the inside shelves are adjustable. Not having to bend down to see the fridge contents is a big plus. However, the design has a few flaws. Although the front door has a nice smooth, sleek design, the sides of the unit have that same cheap, old-fashioned "crackly" look of older fridges. Also, there are two visible screw holes in the door handle that seriously detract from the overall sleekness. I wish the fridge had come with some white plugs or something to cover those up.

What's great about it: Good price, clean design, efficient

What's not so great: Some shortcuts on appearance

I love this refrigerator! It works great, it's beautiful--I was having a dinner party, and my friend's husband commented "your frige has ambiance." It is really nice looking, and I'm glad we bought it! It's energy star, having the freezer on the bottom is so conveinient, i'm sick and tired of bending over to look in the frige--it makes so much sense to only bend to look in the freezer...which isn't that often! It's quiet, and works great. We have had it now for 3 mos. We also got the extended 3 year warranty. All around we are very happy with this product.

What's great about it: Easy to clean, Great looking, Energy Star, Great Price!

What's not so great: Nothing I can think of!

I would recommend this to a friend!

The only drawback I can find is the ice cubes get pulled out of the bin,when you pull out the top basket(shelf),small problem,great value

We recently purchased a bottom freezer from best but it was titanium. Our Kitchen needed a ride handed handle. When the delivery guy switched it we found a gouge underneath. we requested a new one . While waiting the no frost freezer froze over . After waiting what seemed like forever we recieved another and again we had the handle switched and this time there was two gouges. Feeling like this was a manufactors defect I called LG and was basically told "thanks for the info, have fun with your scratched up unit" A company is only as good as their customer service. Having said this again I say "RUN"

What's great about it: NOT MUCH

What's not so great: Scratched easy. If you want a right handed handle forget about it. Customer service at LG is a Joke

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exterior has nice smooth shiny finish and door handles are nicely fat, round, smooth, and modern looking. Door has alot of useable bins and shelves are adjustable as two column design. Freezer has icemaker with 1 wire drawer and flat wire tray and a long tray along the top of door.

Pro: overall look and features.
Con: rear wall of the interior finish is not very nice. it's all bumpy with dents and grooves. Very low quality compared to rest of the looks. At first i thought it was my fridge, but when i check out others at bestbuy, they were all like that. Didn't notice it when i was buying it. The fridge makes some rattling clanky noice like if you were tapping a wine bottles together that's close to each other when compressor is running. Kinda annoying, but i'll live with it as long as it works. I wish the wire drawer in the freezer came out more smoothly.

There were some noticeable paint loss (scratches) on one side, and near edges of the top of the door.

Overall, it appears to be most bang for the buck for looks and performance as long as it holds up.

What's great about it: Nothing specific, overall it's a very nice fridge.

What's not so great: few things mentioned below

I just bought a dishwasher and a matching frig. This refrigerator is great. The other product was not so I've learned the hard way I should pay more attention to customer reviews. Looks like this refrigerator is already getting positive reviews but I just want to add one more happy customer to the list. I like everything about it.

What's great about it: The moveable door shelves

What's not so great: icemaker fills up in back and stops making ice

I have loved this refrigerator! It is so quiet that I barely notice when it runs. It is really roomy inside and all of the shelves can be moved to where you want them. I especially love the bottom freezer. It is handy to have everything in the fridge at eye-level. The items on the door stay as cold and everything else and the freezer keeps things frozen. The glass shelves and clear produce drawers make it easy to see what you've got. When I ordered it online I thought I was getting a freezer drawer, but it was actually a swing open door and I think I like that more than I would have the drawer. Just be aware of which kind of freezer you are ordering. I have been so pleased with this fridge and would highly recommend it!

What's great about it: Quiet, roomy, cools evenly, bottom freezer

What's not so great: can easily scratch or dent

I needed a new fridge and i wanted an icemaker, bottom freezer, energy efficiency and had to be thrifty. this has all the features i wanted. I would have liked a through the door icemaker, but could not justify the price. It makes ice FAST, and the bottom freezer makes the fridge really roomy and accessable.

What's great about it: energy efficient, quiet, ice maker, bottom freezer

Awesome fridge at an excellent price. Modular shelving on door is fantastic. Our first bottom freezer and we love having all the refrigerated product up higher. Fridge replaced two smaller refrigerators. (16 and 18 cu ft) Overall cubic feet is lower, but space is more efficient and we easily fit the contents of the two fridges into the new fridge. Electricity cost is about half of running the two older fridges.
Delivery crew was awesome. Quick, efficient, well skilled, neat. Quick look at where it needed to go, did what was needed to get it there. (popped front door off its hinges) Put it where we wanted it, set it up, removed ALL packaging and protective material, returned everything to the way it was before they got here. Fantastic job.

What's great about it: nice, big, well laid out

What's not so great: little touchy on temp control; tough having fridge cold w/o freezing veggies
