What's great about it: storage
What's not so great: it doesnt coll any more
We bought our LG fridge in July 2011, Started with the mullin not flapping back into place, so had repair on that, but they replaced the door and not the mullin, so called them again, then repaced the mullin, now the fridge is freezing my food in the fridge, can't get the temp sit no matter what I try, so they replace the computor broad and now it is not cooling at all, and am having a really hard time to get LG to stand behind their product. Havn't gotten it replaced yet and am still working on that.
This product has... A quiet design, would be all good if it would work

What's great about it: It has so much easy to reach storage space.
What's not so great: No water dispenser.
My wife and were looking to replace an aging side by side refrigerator. It had many years on it and did not fit our life style change to healthier, less processed foods.
The 22.4 cubic foot refrigerator space is an increase for us and the bottom mount freeze is easy access for the whole family. Mechanically the unit has performed quit well over the last sixty days that we have had it. Feature wise we gave up an external water and ice, but the improved storage space and flexibility have been more than worth it.

What's great about it: Sixe, design, door storage.
What's not so great: Only avaialbe in stainless steel and not alloy.
I prefer the single door opposed to the french doors which make it difficult to access drawers. The product is overall very user friendly, dependable, and efficient.

What's great about it: Looks good and well organized inside
What's not so great: I wish it was cheaper
I needed a 33' stainless steel. I was hesitating to buy this or a French-door model. Finally decided on this one. I own it for a month, very happy so far, everything that I expected. Makes little noise, excellent space, good lighting inside, just a simple nice device, doors are well-built, convenient. I think this was a smart choice regarding the doors. Looks good from outside. It doesn't have fancy features, just everything I needed from a modern refrigerator. Hope it will last. I recommend it.

What's not so great: Reliability
I've had continual issues with this refrigerator. Last week it finally gave out and was diagnosed as a sealed system problem. Meaning that the compressor and condenser have to be replaced. Not yet 4 Years old the sealed system warranty still covers part only. Great on that , but the repair is going to cost $371 labor, not including the 2 service runs costing over $120. Not a big fan of LG refrigerators. Lots of reviews on-line agree. My best advice is to do some research.

Outstanding product for the price. Has more storage than the larger fridge that it replaced. Lots of options for shelf adjustment. Looks sharp and is easy to clean. Only quibble is that it is a little loud when running, but doesn't run as often as older models we've owned.

What's great about it: Bottom freezer design.

I purchased a LG bottom freezer refrigerator from Best Buy on 6/2008 it was delivered 7/2008. On 9/2011 the refrigerator stopped working. This refrigerator makes a high pitched hum and the ice maker is the noisiest I have ever had. There is a problem with ice crystals forming on food in the freezer. I have since discovered that LG refrigerators get poor ratings, finding a repairman is difficult AND getting replacements parts is difficult. Parts can only be purchased from LG. After finally finding a repairman, they will not be out to look at this product for 3 days.
Best Buy warranty - I purchased a "3 year" warranty from Best Buy only to find out it was actually a 2 year warranty because it started the same time as the manufacturer's 1 year warranty instead of after the manufacturer's 1 year warranty ended. Needless to say I will not be doing business with Best Buy any time soon.

What's not so great: ICE Buildup inside of Freezer
This is a very delayed review, as we wanted to love this refrigerator. We originally purchased it in January of '09 and luckily purchased the 5 year protection plan. In December of '09 after three repairs and parts being replaced due to ice (not frost but ICE) building up in the freezer, the refrigerator was replaced with the exact same model.
Now after three repairs and parts being replaced on the replacement , the unit has been "lemoned" out with/for the exact same issue. We would strongly discourage anyone from buying this refrigerator.
Trying to get a replacement for it from BB is also not enjoyable, to say the least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I read some reviews and so far, have to say the following...the icemaker is loud at first when the bin is empty and the ice is hitting the plastic...once a layer of ice is in bin, I barely hear it...a few times I checked to make sure it was actually making ice. There is a slight high pitch hum which actually is the icemaker not the fridge but it no louder than a computer hum. It has tons of space in the freezer...I can fit pizzas in there no problem. The 2 bins are side by side, and a stalk of celery will not lie in drawer unless it is on an angle...but this is no big deal. I really did not want stainless steel because of the smudge and fingerprint issue, but I found a good stainless steel cleaner, and problem solved. All and all..I am happy so far...it was a good price, it fit my space and my needs. I recommend this fridge.

I almost did not buy this refrigerator because of some of the negative reviews. I actually ordered a different refrigerator that did not fit and this was the closest one to the one I actually wanted. I have had this product for about a month. So far its been great. If you use the ice plus feature it can make a lot of ice. A lot of interior room!. Great slide out draw freezer.

What's great about it: Bottom freezer has great access and roomy with a large ice bin.
What's not so great: The refrigerator lights and controls need to be moved to the rear.
Quiet,lots of adjustability for shelves and door trays,plenty of light. Over all pros out weigh cons. The lights in the refrigerator are kind of a pain when putting thing on the top shelf. The door is easily reversed to change swing. The bottom roll out freezer is much nicer than side or top. Would not recommend the stainless finish to some one with small children unless they do not mind finger prints or some one who likes magnets.

What's not so great: The support on the appliance
We puchased this model after many hours of research. The back wall on the freezer began to freeze over causing the bottom door not to open/close and slide properly. Problem occured 2-3 months after purchase. Techniciian sent out to confirm bad sensors and ordered parts. Parts take three weeks longer than expected and arrive incorrect. LG schedules another service call with another local company..waiting for their arrival.Had enough!!!!!!!!!!! No more LG.

The frame for the crisper just crumbled into little pieces, when I tried to order a new one they sent me the wrong replacement and now no one will return my call. The frame should have never broken into pieces.Now my refridgerator is not fully funtionable, I cannot store items on the shelf.

What's great about it: Spacious, easy to adjust shelves in th edoor.
What's not so great: No complaints.
We bought this refrigerator as a floor model, so obviously we got a great price on this spacious refrigerator. Lights in both the compartents is very useful. Since the freezer is not opened always its easy for us to have it in the bottom, whereas the items in the fridge are at eye level hence makes it easier to see all the items in a quick glance. Our old refrigerator was 18 cubic foot, and this refrigerator holds a lot more by easily adjusting the shelves, even in the door which makes things very accessible.
We had it for two months and are very happy with its performance.

The unit is very impressive, lots of space, so much easier to see what is in the fridge. The bottom freezer if great, ice maker makes more ice that we can use, but seeing as our last fridge didn't have a working ice maker, that's ok with us. It is fairly quiet during the ice making mode, and other than that, we do not hear it running at all. I chose a bottom freezer because I felt it would be easier to organize, and with a side by side, there are limitation to some packages(pizza boxes). There are 2 bottom freezer styles, pull out door (ours) and swing door. We mistakenly had ordered the swing door, but BB was great and corrected the issue before delivery. If you order, watch for this as the style #s are very close. BB delivery team was great, even moved our old fridge outside for recyling.
Looking forward to adding other LG appliances to our kitchen!

What's great about it: sleek design - lots of fridge space
What's not so great: took time to get used to the bottom freezer
Installation was smooth and this sleek design has received lots of compliments from our freinds and family. The fridge has tons of space for the size - you may need to adjust the shelves for OJ, Milk, etc. cartons to fit.
Bottom freezer is a little tight - but we knew this when we purchased it.
We were confined to a 68 1/4" cabinet height restriction and this fridge was the largest cubic feet that we found for this space.
I would recommend this to a friend!
