What's great about it: quiet and a good cleaner
What's not so great: nothing
We have had our new dw for over a month, and we absolutely love it. FYI: for those of you who are trying to match stainless finishes across name brands, we bought the LG 31 foot fridge, an LG gas range, a GE profile convection microwave, and a bosch dishwasher. The finishes match fine, and we are very happy with all items. Use the finish detergent pods, and for amazingly clean dishes, run the water in your faucet until it gets hot, then start the DW. Use sanitize mode.
This product is... Quiet, Able to deliver spotless dishes, Great at drying dishes

What's great about it: Sleek design
What's not so great: Leaky and Loud and needs repairs often
In two years we have had the pump and motor replaced three times and it still is a problem. The Geeks come tomorrow to see if it can finally be exchanged under the service plan. The machine leaks, the motor makes a loud scream or hiss, and the pump doesn't always drain so water molds and collects and the dishes stink. The Geeks showed me the bill if I didn't have the service plan...parts and labor repairs have cost almost $2,500.
Fingers crossed we get our replacement. This one has been awful from day one. I wouldn't recommend to a friend...maybe to my worst enemy!

What's great about it: hidden controls, stanless, large capicity
What's not so great: broken door latch after 3 months
This is my first dishwasher, I ordered from bestbuy and have them installed for me as well, everything went great after installation. The door either close shut or open all the way down to the floor-does not stay in the middle. I like the sanitary feature alot, we did not have to use any drying agent for our dishes they come out clean and dry when we use sanitary wash. We don't use the dishwasher that much, average once a week or so. It broke down just a little after the warranty has expired. I called customer service (LG# they told me there is nothing they can do for me because the warranty has expired. They give me a local service provider which want to charge me$300 for service call fixing the pump#pump issue#. LG#Life's Good), it's not so good now. I will stay away from LG products for now. not reliable products, looking to buy another dishwasher to replace this piece fo junk and a French Door Fridge. Any recommendations?

What's great about it: There is a nice stainless steel tub.
What's not so great: No water pressure
It is a drain rack to hold hand washed dishes. I've had 3 repair people to change motor and other parts. The water pressure is so low that it doesn't even reach the inside of glasses and cups! I wish I had read reviews before purchase! All have the same problem!
This product is... a waste of money!, a drain board.

What's great about it: Easy to replace
What's not so great: Noisey
We purchased the LG LDF6920 3 years ago. Started making loud noises in January of 2012. Called the Geek Squad and they charged $249.00 to replace the lower sump assembly with motor. 3 months later it's doing it again. Only 30 day warranty on repairs. Should have listened to the repair guy when he said that they fix a lot of these for the same issue we had. Time for a new dishwasher, not an LG. Our old Kitchen Aid washer lasted 8 years and did a better job of cleaning the dishes so we are shopping (not at Best Buy) for a new one.

What's great about it: Appearance
What's not so great: A little more expensive.
I am very happy with this DW. So far as styling is concerned, it is top shelf. It looks great. The concealed controls really makes a clean finish and appearance. It is extremely quiet, which is pleasing. I have seen several who complained that the DW generated a foul odor. That complaint is puzzling to me; I surmise that they installed the drain line incorrectly. If you do not follow standard instructions for the installation of the drain line for any DW, then gasses from the sewer may travel along the drain line into the DW. By installing the drain line correctly, water is trapped in the drain line (like a P-Trap under a sink), preventing sewer gasses from entering the DW.

What's great about it: Looks good and is quiet
What's not so great: It doesn't clean dishes very well
Bought this dishwasher one year ago. We had to have it repaired once because it stopped cleaning. Whatever was repaired didn't do much to help it. It can hold alot of dishes it just doesn't clean them very well. I have called LG and they basically tell you that you have to wash the dishes before putting them in. What good is that? Our twelve year old Maytag cleaned dishes very well without even rinsing them before loading. They also tell you that you have to clean the spray arms about once a week. If you fill the soap compartment then a residue is always left on the dishes and on the inside of the tub. LG says to only use a teaspoon of dish soap. Then why is the compartment so large? This dishwasher looks nice and is quiet. If that is all you care about, then buy it. If you want a dishwasher that actually washes dishes, buy something else.

What's great about it: It's stainless steel
What's not so great: noisy, doesnt clean, leaves a soap residue on the dishes
I bought this LG Dishwasher less than a year ago...and let me say I will never by another LG product again...I've had the geek squad out twice, they said the pump and the motor went out (really less than a year?). The replacement parts were bad as well, NOW I have to wait another week (this makes 3 times). I'm currently asking for a replacement (good luck) as I'm not to impressed with Best Buy's customer service. Let the buyer beware and don't get caught up with hype of good reviews of the product. Now I'm hoping that Best Buy does the right thing by standing by their products they sell.

What's great about it: Great Price
What's not so great: Display is fairly basic.
Dishwasher runs very, very quietly. There are a few parts you have to pick up (90 degree elbow and plug/unless your going to directly wire it). All in all this is a very nice dishwasher and they were running a sale so we got a great price. Love it and it does a great job on heavily soiled dishes.

What's great about it: Quiet operation, stainless tub inside as well (not plastic), and drying performance with rinse aid
What's not so great: Smells funny during first few uses, brackets used for installation are not a good design
So far this dishwasher has performed as expected in all categories. The biggest plus for this dishwasher is that it is almost silent when running. In reading the reviews posted before we purchased this dishwasher there were many people complaining about the length of cycle time and the cleaning/drying quality. Our experience has been the following: Yes, the cycles last a long time; but for us this is not an issue because we typically start the dishwasher just before going to bed or during the day. If you need something in the dishwasher immediately, hand wash it! Regarding the cleaning and drying quality, this dishwasher has out performed any I have used in the past if you do two things: run on the heavy cycle and use rinse aid. As soon as we started using rinse aid the dishes (even plastic) are completely dry except where water can pool. The washer does smell a bit strange during the first few cycles, but that goes away. In all, a good purchase.

What's great about it: Looks, Functionality
What's not so great: Price
The stainless steel is beautiful and easy to clean (I use windex multi-purpose with vinegar, looks excellent). The controls being on top makes for an even nicer visual appeal. I went with the LG dishwasher since my other appliances are LG (and work great), and I wanted the handles to match.
Initially, I hated the functionality. I used the normal cycle, and the dishes were still dirty, and still wet. I tried again with pre-rinsing the dishes, and same thing. I don't mind hand-washing dishes, so I basically figured this was going to become a very expensive decoration for the kitchen. However, when I tried the "Power Scrub" even without pre-rinsing, the dishes were spotless and dry. So from now on I always use that setting, and my dishes, glasses and silverware are ready to go straight into the cabinet.
I think dishwashers in general are over-priced, and this model is no exception.
At this point, I would definitely recommend this dishwasher, with the caveat of not using the normal cycle. Hope this helps anyone looking to purchase.

What's not so great: does not clean
We bought this expensive dishwasher and after only 3 years, dishes remain dirty in spite of the fact that we rinse it before loading, steel side of the dishwasher are streaky with soap, soap is not totally dissolved, does not dry. The only good thing is that it is quiet.
To make it worse we called LG recommended service shop. The service person charged us $100 to tell us that there is nothing wrong with the dishwasher and LG is a bad buy in any case.
This dishwasher recommendation was made by the Best Buy salesperson.

What's great about it: Ease of use, looks, super quiet, and it plays a little melody instead of a harsh beeping sound when the cycle is done.
I love love love this dishwasher. I have a small son that still takes a nap during the day and no matter when I run my appliance, it never wakes him up. I can load it with a full load or just load the top rack with a few dishes and I still don't have to worry about anything not getting cleaned. If you are in the market for a new dishwasher, stop looking, this IS the one.

What's great about it: Low noise, hidden controls, sleek design
What's not so great: Nothing to speak of
Our newly constructed house has an open-concept plan with the living room & dining room open to the kitchen. So noise control in the kitchen was very important to us. We cannot be more happy with this dishwasher. While it is not completely silent, it is much quieter than I could have imagined. We also have a toddler, so the hidden controls under the countertop were also an important feature to us. He still has not found the control panel. The wash cycle is ~2 hours long, but the dishes come out clean. Some people complain that food remains, but as long as you rinse off the chunks of food first, the rest comes off clean. The level of drying is acceptable, but there will be a few cups on the top rack that might have a little moisture still on top, even with rinse aid. However, our previous dishwashter left so much water on everything, we had to hand dry everything. So this is really not an issue for us. I would highly recommend this dishwasher. We've been in our house for a few months & have had no trouble.

What's great about it: very quiet
What's not so great: everything else you can imagine
We were upgrading our kitchen and LG appeared to be a brand worth looking at. Big mistake, we wanted a quiet unit and this is Very quiet; but the dishes are never clean and reliability is very poor. Within 6 months the new unit failed twice and it was replaced by LG with another unit that was just as bad. I think the replacement units are factory returns that are 'fixed'. The replacement unit has failed 5 times in 5 years. It has had the motor unit replaced 3 times. The only time the dishes come clean is if I wash them before I put them in the unit. Oh yes, the rack has rusted through and some of the fingers have broken off. We also purchased a washer and dryer at the same time. Neither are great and I spend so much time fixing them I almost know all the codes by heart. I just finished fixing the washer, error code OE, before I wrote this review. I will never buy another LG product.
This product is... Quiet, over hyped under delivered
