What's great about it: Works well
What's not so great: Nees to be more weather proof.
I have this antennae in my attic. I live at 380 ft elevation about 45 miles south of Philadelphia. I am running 80 ft of cable with amplifier at the antennae and to an Antronix splitter going to 3 tv's. I pick up all of the Philly stations, Fox, Lancaster, Baltimore ( but not MPT ). I also get 3 PBS from Philly and 3 from Camden. My reception is awesome. If I moved this antennae outside I would think that with the increased signal strength ( reduced by roofing interference ) I would pick up more channels. Use Antronix splitters and amplifiers. Use antennaeweb.org to determine antennae compass direction. When positioning your antennae direction do not hold the compass close to the steel mounting pipe.

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Everything else
The instructions did not match the names in the parts list. Its like 1 team built it and another made instructions without seeing the product. I had to use the picture to put it together, and had to increase my pole 15ft to get the channels in. Its not multi-directional and the hi channels dont come in. I get the basic ABC, CBS and NBC, thats it. For the money its not worth it.

What's great about it: Easy to mount on existing mast, gets great reception
What's not so great: Assembly instructions not very clear
After struggling with the instructions, I looked at the photograph of the assembled antenna to finish. Easy wing nut attachment to a mast I already had mounted to my roof. Great HDTV reception with no monthly bill! We'll see how it lasts, but one month of a pretty harsh winter has not diminished its reception.

What's great about it: Decent Price, Great Quality, Easy Set Up
What's not so great: Could come with a mount...
This is a great product from Antenna's Direct. Very easy setup, put together in about 15 minutes! I live about 25-30 miles from the TV stations and I get full signal and some of the best quality HD I've seen! As noted in the materials that come with the antenna, the ATSC signal over the air is uncompressed and can send its data at 20 mbps, if you are getting it from the cable/satellite company they compress it down to around 6. I would recommend a signal amplifier on any cabling over 50 feet, it helps keep the image crisp. I am using my computer as a media center PC, recording the video and streaming it over my network. I have or should say had comcast HD, because this blows its quality ad price over time out of the water. Sure this setup will most likely cost around $200 after all the cabling and such, but over time you WILL get your money back with this antenna.

What's great about it: It set up and installed easy. It isn't very big either.
What's not so great: Reception
I live around 45-50 miles strait down the Willamette Valley from Portland where the TV stations transmit from and we dont get any of the local channels except for 1 channel which is not in digital. I do pick up 3 different OPB channels and 1 channel from Salem which is 15 miles away. They are not any of the main channels that one would hope to get though. This reception is with a booster too. I have tried 2 different boosters and each of them work equally.

What's great about it: All 11 channells in our area come in clear and brillent. And the TV in the bed room gets all 11 channels
What's not so great: I thought one side I could aim one way, and the other side another direction. Oh well.
Assemble was a breeze. All 11 channels for our area come in crystal clear. And the TV in the bed room is also getting all 11 channels. With my old antenna, I was missing ones in the living room and only about half in the bedroom. WE are in the Fox Valley south of the Green Bay market. I installed in on the mast on the roof. Followed the direction I got from " Antenna.org" and zoned in and the rest is happy history Now I see that just after two days of getting it delivered that they are sold out online. Wowwwwww good product!!!!

What's great about it: Great for UHF reception only!
What's not so great: It is a UHF only antenna but it says it's enhanced for High VHF.
I am the Assistant Chief Engineer at a TV station that trasnsitioned to a digital High VHF signal on Feb. 17th. I can tell you from experience that this antenna does not work for VHF signals. This is a UHF "Bow Tie" antenna and why VHF is even mentioned is beyond me. I went to Terrestrial Digital's web site since they actually manufacture the thing and they make no mention of it receiving VHF signals.
Why is this a problem? 96% of all television markets in the US are going to be UHF/VHF combo markets AFTER the June 12th transition date. Right now most markets are temporarily all UHF for digital. So this antenna will work fine for now but will not be able to get all the channels after June 12th. My advise is do not buy this antenna until you call all the TV stations in your area. If any of them are going to be VHF this antenna isn't going to pick them up.
Only get an antenna that says it can receive channels 2-69 and avoid buzz words like DTV or HDTV ready, I've found that most of the time these are just for UHF signals.
I would like to say though if you live in a UHF only market that this would be a great antenna and there is a chance that you could get VHF signals on it but out of 5 people in my market with this antenna none of them have.

What's great about it: Every local HD channel comes in
What's not so great: Could use better instructions
I just replaced my Terk HDTVA with the DB8. I kept getting a poor picture (fading in and out) with the old HDTVA. As soon as the DB8 came in, I had it together in about 30 minutes and installed in my attic. Channels I thought hadn't made the transition to HD yet were now coming in. Yes , it's more expensive than most people would like but it does the job. Go to www.antennaweb.org before buying an antenna so you can see what's best for your home.

What's great about it: Lightweight, good rain/wind resistance, Good reception.
What's not so great: Assembly pictures in B/W.. could be better.
I bought this antenna to replace a monster YAGI antenna with a 13' foot beam. I got the DTV converter boxes, but the old antenna would sway in the wind, and when wet the signal would come and go. No more. It took a little tweaking, but now I get 13 channels crystal clear. I installed a mast-mounted video amp, and have a 4-way splitter... one of the branch-legs has a cable run of 50', and the signal was a little weak, so I put a 24 DB gain video amp after the splitter, and everything comes in great on all 4 TV sets.
BTW- I live in the mountains of WNC. Reception here is always a little tricky.

What's great about it: Awesome picture quality!!
What's not so great: Assembly instructions could be a little bit clear.
I was sceptical of this product when I bought b/c I have bought previous antennas and did not receive a very good reception. Then I got this product...I put it together in my living room floor and hooked it up just to see if I would get a signal. I received 6 digital channels in crystal clear HD.
I have since hooked it up out side (just on a 6 foot pole) and I am very happy about. I have at least a 92% signal strength on every channel. I live in the valley of two mountains and I am pleasantly surprised on how good every channel looks. If you have not had any luck with previous antennas...get THIS ONE!!

What's great about it: Sleek look, powerful reception
What's not so great: Assembly instructions a little vague.
I live only 15 miles from transmitters (in a straight line) but my terrain and trees are a big factor, which makes getting a clear signal tricky. Other traditional antennas I have used are bulky, ugly and sway in the wind too much affecting reception. This one is the king!! I get an 85% signal strength on the weakest channel. I have used splitters before and DO NOT recommend due to so much loss. It is best to have separate antennas for other sets
