What's great about it: Double the signal strength of the RCA ANT1400
What's not so great: It's not exactly the nicest looking indoor antenna but that's ok.
First I want to say that I know a lot of factors affect the reception quality you can get from any antenna, including distance from the broadcast source, height of the antenna (because UHF is line of sight), how much cable is between the antenna and the receiver, whether or not the antenna is amplified or if there is a UHF pre-amp installed, and whether your antenna is indoors or outdoors (they say you lose 30% - 50% of your signal by having the antenna indoors instead of outdoors).
Having said that, the best thing to do is see if your TV or tuner has a signal strength meter. It seems like most (if not all) of them do. This will help you find the best possible place to locate the antenna. It will also help you determine if this antenna is a good replacement for another antenna. In my case, I had an RCA ANT1400 and on my living room TV my signal strength hovered at about 1/3 (Weak) or sometimes less. With the DB2, my signal strength immediately jumped to 2/3 (Good), and now it consistently hovers around there, which is about double the signal strength I was getting with the ANT1400.
I have the antenna indoors, just inside a 1st floor south-facing window in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I have since attached a splitter and my bedroom TV to the antenna. My signal strength on the bedroom TV also shows as "Good" and the visual meter seems to be up all the way. I recently bought a new TV for my kitchen and plan to buy another DB2 for that TV.

What's great about it: easy to set up
What's not so great: no reception in trees
We are between 10-40 miles from the TV stations. This antenna does well with the closest ones but not well at all at the 30 miles it specifies. Look on the federal website antennaweb.org to find out what will work best for your address.

What's great about it: Can be used indoors or out!
Wow! I don't even have this thing on the roof yet and it's picking up great! Roof mount will cost you about $20 and then the cable etc. I dumped my cable tv and kept my broadband. I can watch so much more on the computer I have hooked up to my my home theater via the internet than on cable tv. For local channels this antenna brings the HD in better than anything else, a lot better. Great price. It's not huge and bulky, fantastic.

What's not so great: Doesn't tell you to get J Mount so another trip to store
So far No reception. Didn't pick up a single channel in my area. Web searches state that this product should pick up signals in my area. I have just the worst luck.

What's great about it: Easy set up!
What's not so great: Wouldn't pick up a signal for nothing!
I bought this for my Daughter hoping she could get better reception at her apartment, boy was I wrong!! We tried setting it up inside & outside of the apartment, & all we could get was 2 stations! When I bought this online, it seemed to have the specs. to do a good job, but I didn't know that were my Daughter lives, (Newark, Ohio) is like the Black Hole for reception! (As told to me by a local Best Buy employee!) He said if she lived a mile outside of town in any direction, it would of probably worked!) Good thing I ordered it online & at Christmas time! I had no hassle in the return process, & I opted of a gift card instead! I even tried a signal booster, & anther antenna to see if that would make a difference to no avail! She had a RCA antenna with an inline signal booster on it, & it didn't do much better. Best advice, check with the locals that have a converter box to see if it's worth your time & money to buy!

What's great about it: better reception than smaller antennas
What's not so great: bulky for indoor use, not too pretty
Better than rabbit ears. Am able to get a few more channels with this than the smaller cheapy antennas. Channels come in very good too.
It looks like it should be outside....but am using it inside....so, it's not too pretty for inside use! I use it for our bedroom tv.
I had checked other reviews prior to this purchase & that's the main reason I purchased this antenna.
Overall, not too bad of a deal.

What's great about it: Reception is terrific
What's not so great: Haven't found a down side
For under fifty dollars you can't find a better antenna. I downgraded from
a clearstream 1 antenna (at twice the cost), to the db2 antenna. Wow what
a difference. The db2 at 11.2 db's pulls signals of the back side that are 40
miles away, Didn't count on that. I am only 18 miles from my primary transmitters, have a very clear line of sight and am only running 25 feet of good sheilded cable. The db2 out performs the clear steam 1 ( at only 8 db's) hands down. Why spend more and get less?

What's great about it: GIVES PERFECT RECEPTION AS LONG CORD FROM ANTENNA IS NO LONGER THEN 50 FEET
What's not so great: AFTER YOU GO PAST 50 FEET OF CABLE WITH IT RECEPTION SUCKS.
THIS I WOULD RECOMMEND FOR A PERSON THAT ONLY NEEDS TO USE 50 FEET OR LESS OF CABLE FROM THE ANTENNAE.
I would recommend this to a friend!
