What's great about it: The features are nice, such as the usb port for ipod.
What's not so great: Track wheel gets anoying when searching for a song.

"This deck is great because of its features. When you plug your ipod into the usb direct connect all of the songs on your ipod come up on your deck wich is a great feature. The olny downside is that the track wheel gets really anoying when you are in the b's and you want to hear a song in the t's and you cant scroll backwards to go from a to z, instead you have to scroll all the way to the other side."

What's great about it: Bluetooth cell and streaming interface, sound quality, cell phone interface, display options
What's not so great: Menu interface a bit tricky, dicey when driving

"This stereo is great with its complete bluetooth interface. It is great for streaming to headphones or will accept streaming from a bluetooth player ( I have done both). Also has a complete feature set for interfacing with a cell phone including things like voice dialing, downloading phone books. The microphone is good with not much noise and little complaints from other cell phone users that I am calling.
I am only dwelling on the bluetooth stuff since that is my level of interest. There is stuff like HD, XM radio that I am not interested in.

Sound quality is great and can be tweaked with a lot of a lot of options. User menu is tricky to get used to and dicey to use when driving, but can be gotten used to. Good AM/FM reception. Great overall receiver with few complaints."

What's great about it: Awesome features ie: Bluetooth and USB input
What's not so great: Would like front side 3.5 mm input instead of rear input

"I really like this radio. The bluetooth function is awesome very clear with the external mic. You can eat a sandwich drive and talk! Love the clean look of the radio, night time view is awesome and sleek. Love the USB input. You can use a jumpstick or even a external notebook drive so you do not have to use cd's. I like the caller ID function when receiveing a call. The music fades as the call rings in. Very clear and you do not have to yell to be heard. I mounted the external mic on my steering setup. Remote fits in hand nicely. You can dial the phone from the remote! The sound of the radio is amazing. I listen to metal and hardcore music and it sounds great. Menu isfairly easy to navigate after ready instructions. Installation was easy if you know what you are doing. Love having a subwoofer control on the deck. Face plate illumination in amazingly clear and simple. This is my frist Kenwood radio and I am very impressed with it so far. I would highly reccomend this radio it is well worth it. Used the pay on the internet and picked it up at the store so easy! Great package Great experience!!"

What's great about it: relatively easy to figure out if you read the manual
What's not so great: but not quite as easy to navigate using the scroll wheels

"I only have one major issue with this receiver that might only be a result of an improper installation on the part of where I bought it. I did not buy this from Best Buy but I wanted to post a review of it on their website, mainly because I have an important question. Can anyone tell me why the external microphone that I had installed is not working? Does it come standard with an external mic? The company I bought it from offered to install an external microphone but it is not working at all with my bluetooth phone, or any other bluetooth phone I have tried. Everything with the bluetooth phone works except for the microphone, and I can't figure out why. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks"

"I replaced my one year old Panasonic with this deck thanks to a friends referral. I have never looked back. I did not change my amps or speakers and the sound quality improvement was just amazing. I am not one for reading manuals but with this deck I had to, but now its just as easy for me to use as a phone. Speaking of phones the built in Bluetooth is great for me, I drive around for my job and I am on the phone constantly, now I can keep my eyes on the road and not worry about holding my phone. There really isn't much not to like, it has all the bells and whistles I need while having a great appearance."

What's great about it: Great sound quality, nice display, hooks directly to iPod USB cable
What's not so great: hard to navigate menus, scroll wheels hard to use while driving, better options for iPod listening

"I replaced the radio in my 2000 GMC Sonoma with this Kenwood CD Deck. I chose this deck because of the price, the direct to USB, and from previous Kenwood experience. I am very satisfied with the sound quality, and with the fact that I can plug my iPod in without having to have bought some proprietary cable. What I don't like are the scroll knobs. What the heck happened to just having buttons? It is so frickin hard to try and scroll to a playlist certain song and select it on my iPod through the stereo while driving. Having to use a knob to move left/right and select by pushing it down is almost impossible to do while driving a truck, or even driving in general. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you could do this all through the remote, but from what I have read in the manual, you can't. And why isn't there an option to just set the iPod to random songs through all folders through the stereo? Would make it easier.
Now I could have bought something else. Another deck with buttons. But, the one Kenwood deck with buttons looked too cheap, with the USB port being on the front with a little cheap, plastic slide down shield. There was another model, but it was too expensive for me at the time. Even though there are some things I hate about this deck, I still really do like it."
