What's great about it: Piutre Quality and great setup for calibration. What's not so great: Nothing
"Lets see I've been searching awhile for a tv that was going to fit my lifestyle. Ofcourse like everyone else I starred at a whole bunch of tvs like they made food or something. So I walk up to my sales person and ask which tv is accurate with colors, consistent with picture quality and has deep blacks? The pioneer elite KURO does. Let me start off by saying if your tired of lcd white spots everytime your lcd is producing a dark movie or image this is the way to go. This plasma has a protector of burn in and everything else. Plus lcd 120hz is a sales line. Its just simulation no movie or show or cartoon is actually broadcasted in 120hz. Maybe a video game which I highly doubt. Anyways.....
The menu is awesome, it includes your setup and also allows you to watch your video in a small frame at the same time. Out of the box its setup is automatically viewed so one can adjust picture, sound, and options. Whats great about this unit is its light sensor thats put there particularly for picture quality. It senses the light in the room and adjust color and brightness in the picture. Also its activated manually so if you don't like, its ok. It also includes HDMI control so if you buy one of there receivers and you'd like to use the same controller it will let you . Its 1080i on directv is beautiful. No jitter no tiling on the screen which is what happens with fast motion across the screen. The remote is backlit red which is different as well. The tv also comes with a set of speakers that are pretty nice. They connect to the tv on the side and can also be taken off. Leave them on its more intimidating to the guest viewer.
The colors this tv produces are very lifelike not bright or crazy colored like lcds. Don't fall for a bright picture and vivrant colors not always the way to go. Buy a tv thats a real look into good cinema. Buy a Kuro whether it be this model or the 50 inch. Which by the way is almost the same besides size."

What's great about it: Everything except price What's not so great: Price and only price...
"I can't believe how good this TV looks. With a blu-ray(pioneer elite again) and a monster 1000 HDMI cables this things looks better than anything I've ever seen. I have been installing TV's for a few years and have seen some of the best models to come out. I have not seen anything anywhere close in picture quality. The black level is what does it. It makes every other color look better. It makes night scenes and shadow detail on Call of Duty 4(Xbox-360 Elite) and Gears of War 1&2 awesome to say the least. The sound is better than average for a TV but if you have enough for a pioneer elite 60" plasma, spend about 2K more and get a decent surround sound. I personally have a klipsch quintet with two f2s up front and two sub 12s. One on front of the room, one behind my sectional in the corner. All powered by again, a pioneer elite A/V reciever. Now $18000 isn't a bad investment in a house considering a Home Theater Room of this quality increases value of my home almost $30k. Sell it to your wife like that."

What's great about it: Everything, the black levels, the colors, everything. What's not so great: When Animals are on the screen, especially dogs (like a dog show), my dog barks and growls at the screen.

What's great about it: PICTURE QUALITY What's not so great: nothing
"Amazing tv, a bit heavy if you're trying to lift it into your house, but other then that this is one of the most amazing HDTV's around. The colors are vivid, the picture quality is short of amazing, sound is good and even better if you have surround sound on it. If you can afford this tv, and are looking for the best quality and a big screen these tv's are the only way to go."

What's great about it: Blacks, color, and antireflective screen What's not so great: Haven't found anything yet!
"Although expensive, this is the best TV on the market. Great picture (blacks and color) and for a plasma, there is very little reflection. My previous plasma was horrible in this regard."

What's great about it: Picture Quality What's not so great: My cat thinks the stand is their new bed
"This TV is truly amazing. the picture quality is breath taking. The way the picture looks in the store isnt even close to the level of performance you get from the TV when you get it home. This is because of the lights used in the store, they make the picture look washed out. The colors are deep and acurate because of the ability to produce the darkest black levels compared to any other TV on the market. The only bad part is that this TV kicks off a little bit of heat because of its size and my cats like to lay on the stand in front of it. The Pioneer Elite line is deffinetly the best and most advanced TV on the market today. There isnt an LCD that can even come close to the picture quality of this unit, it makes everything else look faded and dull. I love this TV. My wife says its to big and wants me to get a smaller one, make sure to set the expectations for this huge TV."

What's great about it: Unbelievable blacks, easy install, very attractive look What's not so great: none so far
"I've had this t.v. for about 3 weeks and it's the best thing that I have ever gotten. I have been researching tv's for a while and was down to this model the special edition 65" sharp and the 65" panasonic plasma. The reason I didn't want a plasma originally is the fact that i do a lot of gaming. And the burn in effect kinda scared me. But I also wanted the best picture out there. As far as burn in, that has been no prob so far. seeing that i have had it only 3 weeks. But the BB employee that sold me the set told that pioneer, at a convention, let the model stay on for 96 hours straight with the red pioneer logo on and afterwards, it took 45 minutes and the burn in was completely gone. I don't know if that helps but it put my mind at ease. As far as the picture, it's breathtaking. I love coming home to this set. I'm not a tv "nerd" so I can't quote you technical numbers on how good it is, but i know what my eyes tell me. And believe me, you can ask my wife, I have spent hours looking at different sets at different inputs from blu-ray to reg. tv. This picture no doubt is the best. I would definitely recommend this, if you want the best. Do some research and utilize the wonderful ability that price matching gives you. BB dropped the price over a grand for me have been extremely helpful the entire way. Also, we run a ps3 on it, hd-dvr cabel on it and regular dvd hook up by component cable. everything looks awesome, but especially blu-ray. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the best picture out right now"
