"THIS IS A GREAT GAME, IT DOES HAVE ITS ISSUES WITH SENSITIVITY AT TIMES WITH THE DRUM KIT BUT THERE IS A FIX FOR IT. REDOCTANE IS SENDING OUT A TUNING KIT TO CORRECT IT!!!!!!!! SO DONT WORRY!!!!!
I'VE PLAYED ROCK BAND AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS AWESOME UNTIL
I PLAYED WORLD TOUR. ROCK BAND IS A GREAT GAME ALSO, BUT WERE ROCK BAND LEFT OFF IS WERE WORLD TOUR PICKED UP. THE DRUMS ARE AS REAL AS IT GETS FOR A GAME. VERY CHALLENGING
FOR A NOVIST. MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR REALLY IN THE BAND. EVEN WITH THE MINOR ISSUES, IM GLAD I BOUGHT THIS INSTEAD OF ROCK BAND. YOU CAN ALSO USE WORLD TOUR INSTRUMENTS TO PLAY

What's great about it: Customize your characters
What's not so great: Most everything, drums, songs, song creator

"So I was super excited about this game, had it preordered, but my mind quickly changed. The song selection is okay, if you’re a family style gamer (many older or pop songs). The 3 Tool songs were the rock genre highlight, which were marginal. Let’s get to what is mainly wrong with the game. The guitar seemed cool for about 3 seconds when you realize it’s easier to strum the guitar rather then use the touch sensitive neck, so it isn’t any different than Rock Band which has a better song list. The drums are not very sensitive especially the fake cymbals. The power would randomly go out on the drum set making it an annoyance to everyone else that’s playing. Creating a song is a joke, unless you like making the equivalent to a polyphonic ring tone, without any vocals. Overall not that great, too much hype, along with major glitches."

What's great about it: song list
What's not so great: drums terrible

"so i got it a last saturay. loved it. hung out with my friends and played all that week.. this weekend. played it a couple times with bout ten peole. sunday, played with my friend.. started to play "what i've done" and hit the yellow cymbal four times and heard something crack off.. unscrewed the cymbal and couldn't find anything.. put it back on and went to play and i found out what was wrong.. the cymbal itself cracked.. so after about a week the cymbal broke.. and the drum sticks are awful.. i played the second day and the tip cracked off.. so idk.. maybe i'm playin too hard.. but the orange cymbal wont even pick up sometimes.. i'd get it but know that the drums arent the most reliable thing... but i love the setlist.."

"OMG... i have Rockband 2, and i thought that was a really good game. But, when i bought Guitar Hero: World Tour, it was so good! there was 100's of downloadable songs, wireless drums, guitar, and comes with a mic that you can set it's sensitivity!! it comes with awesome songs, and you can buy even more awesome songs... i would say, overall, that Guitar hero: world tour beats Rockband 2 by a long run..."

What's great about it: The music, the drums and the fun factor
What's not so great: instructions can be somewhat confusing when first getting started

"I bought this the day it came out. I love the wide music selection. Some of the artist I know and others I haven't heard of but they have some cool songs. I love playing the drums.They look and feel more realistic. Instructions were kind of confusing at first when I wanted to use all four instruments (guitars, drum and mic) but I figured that out with trial and error. I like the beginner or "mercy" level. That allows you to hit any note and not be penalized. Same with the singing part. Playing with friends and/or family is a blast. If you want a party/music game and like the song list then I recommend this."

What's great about it: The drums with symbols on top and slider on guitar AND SONGS
What's not so great: Price and the mic is not as good as rockband

"This game is a very good buy if you loved rockband or you want to have a great guitar-drum-mic game. The mic is not super good, but the drums and guitar are beyond awesome. I got it on the day it came out, and this is one of my first time playing a Rockband type game. I am already on medium-hard level after about 7 hours of playing. needs an impossible level of difficulty. Also, GREAT SONGS LIKE RE-EDUCATION!!!"

What's great about it: Songs, new way of playing, guitar button placement
What's not so great: guitar solo touchpad buttons

"PROS:

-not just playing notes via holding a note/chord or one by one. Now it has it where you hold the note but you have to play other notes while you are holding the note/chord.

-Placement of buttons, you can now use your palm to activate star power. It's in a place that's hard to hit accidentally but easy enough to use rather than moving guitar straight up.

-Great song selection

-Innovative drum play

-Compatibility with prior Guitar hero/rock band accessories (Drums, guitars, etc.)

CONS:

-If you use motion to activate star power, for some reason this guitar requires like a vertical position of the guitar to activate; it doesn't feel like a fling up will work.

-Touchpad buttons are annoying, sometimes hard to transition from the normal buttons to the solo touchpad buttons.

Overall, I think this game is better than Rock Band because of the innovative way of gameplay and also the songs. Not saying Rock Band is bad, just I like the songs on Guitar Hero World Tour better."

What's great about it: Ozzy osbourne, Sting, Billy Corgan, Zack Wylde, good song list
What's not so great: Drums, no saves like Rockband, when you die the whole band fails with you

"Bought this on Mon and opened it Wed. Played the guitar and was going well. I hooked up the drums and wouldn't respond or respond too late. I played drums on easy and couldn't hit 3 notes in a row and fail the song instantly. On Rockband 1 I would get 87-100% on drums. The drums for guitar hero no good and the game is kid like compared to Rockband. I'm hoping to take this back to exchange for RockBand 2 since I buy 80% of my stuff here. My only beef, is the rumor of having to buy the cymbals seperate for Rockband 2..who knows how much more that will be, but at least all the parts will work!"

"Let me just say to those who have trouble with their drum sets I will have you know that I haven't had any problems with my drum set at all - I got it working right away and I had fun - I did have to get used to it because I was kind of used to Rock Band drums but this is definitely a nice change I know I will get the hang of it soon - I love how its all wireless and it was very easy to set up everything. The songs even though looking at the list I didn't know them until I heard them - I haven't messed with the studio yet but the create a rocker feature is really cool!!! You can really do a lot with it like change the size of their face - their height - their weight - etc. its pretty cool! Plus you can design all your instruments - theres much more to choose for. Definitely go & get the game if you love these types of games"

What's great about it: the drums!!! updated star power! Eddie Knox is back!
What's not so great: song selection, repeated songs placement of rock meter and multiplier

"This is a great improvement over Guitar Hero 3. The graphics are much cleaner and the updated star power is so much eaiser pull off. I have not had any problems with the drums, except for not being compatible with rock band 2 yet. The guitar has also been greatly improved. The strum bar is much smoother and its a lot easier to slide on the fret buttons. I have only a couple minor issues with the game. The placement of the score multiplier is distracting being right off the Fret board. The rock meter is laso distracting since it is placed too high up on the screen during multilplayer mode. I had the guitar hero 3 wireless reciever plugged into port 2 and the world tour wireless receiver plugged into port 1 but the game recognized it the opposite(had to go into controller settings to set it right). Overall a much improved game. Need more DLC!"
