What's great about it: Easy to use, edit and upload video quickly
"Although the descriptions tell you this (cheapest) model lacks all of the bells and whistles, it has everything you need and more. Easy to shoot, edit and upload videos quickly to Facebook, Youtube, etc. We bought thsi to share videos of our new baby with friends and family and have used it at all kinds of family functions. Great quality and sound, saved hundreds by not buying a camcorder. Oh and did I mention no wires. We love it"

What's not so great: Stopped working after 4 months and only a few uses.

"I have had this product since August and I have not dropped it. I rarely use it. When I do now, it freezes during and after recording. Anything I do with it now, it freezes. I hate it. Also, can't get a refund or new one. hate it"

What's great about it: Easy to use, everything is included, small, good video
What's not so great: Price, no lens cap or cover, finger prints
"There are not many electronic gadgets on the market these days that combine simplicity with quality, especially in this price range. The Flip Mino is remarkable. It’s easy to use, has great video quality and it’s so small you can take it anywhere.
Most of us in the consumer camcorder market are looking to take video of our families and friends and either share it on the internet (you tube, email, personal site) or make a DVD. The Flip Mino fits perfectly in this situation.
I do not recommend the HD version unless you have a blu-ray burner. The Flip Mino HD version records at 720p which isn’t actually HD, 1080p is. Also I wasn’t as impressed with the HD version’s picture quality and field of view. In order to record someone you have to stand far away from them to get them in the shot which kind of undermines the whole concept of the product in the first place, ease of use.
If you’re looking for a great, easy to use, take anywhere, point and shoot camcorder – the Flip Mino is simply perfect."

"I use my flip at home and work. When I use it at work (I work with 4 year olds)
the children always ask me to plug it to the TV so that they can see themselves. The parents always look for my emails and when I don't send anything they ask me when will I send another vedio. They really love it. My my saw it and had to have one, so I got it for her. She can't put it down. She took it to Texas with her and use it with family and friends out there and now they all want one. My co-workers want one and my deportment had said they would like to see all Pre-K classes in the program have one. I just love it."

Be Careful with the Flip 'Ultra'

What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Can't be repaired
"This camera worked great for 6 months, then the 'Flip' icon froze after turning it on. I had to remove the batteries to turn it off. Tech support told me to remove the batteries for 48 hours, but it still froze. Then they told me to upgrade the camera via computer. It still froze. I learned from Flip tech support that if the camera is out of warranty (after 90 days) there is no one or nowhere to send it for repairs. You are basically out $150. If you are lucky enough to have it break before the warranty has expired, then you can start again, otherwise you are out of luck. What a dissapointment."

"It is so easy to use just turn it on press the red button and your recording it records up to 60 minutes.Its easy to charge to just press the button and the USB plug come out plug it in your computer and its charging it will also go to a screen were you can edit,delete and share your videos. Its easy to put on Youtube just go to share videos pick youtube type in your username and password and it should be up in about 5-15 mins. it depends on how long your video is."

What's not so great: I wish you could keep recording on the same video not just short clips but it is easier to email them this way.

"The Flip Mino is great. It is so easy to use. You push 1 button the picture is great and download is super easy. You can honestly make a movie in less than 5 minutes after recording is complete. I have one and am buying my wife one to have in her purse to capture things the kids do when we are out places."

"This is a great little video camera. It's small, easy and fast to capture video. The software is actually on the camera so no need to put anything on the computer. That makes it very easy to use and very easy to transfer. It doesn't have a lot of features (basically, it's just point and record video). Once you max out on memory, you can't change the memory card and continue. You must upload to the computer. But that's the tradeoff - small and easy vs. big, complicated and lots of features."

"This is a very small easy to use camcorder. Tested this camcorder to see how it would handle and I got to say that it feels very solid. It is a well-built camcorder that feels like you are holding an ipod. It has 2GB of internal memory which will give you an dhour of video. It records in a 640x480 resolution, which is perfect for Youtube. It has a built-in lithium-ion battery which has no memory effect and charges while you connect it to your USB connetion in your computer. In the back it has touch sensitive buttons except for the record button. You sure want to feel the click of the record button to know your recording, which also shows it in the 1.5 clear and vivid LCD scree. If you are a Youubte addict or just like to make video in youtube or want to start making videos, you have now found your ideal camcorder. "This video camera is fabulous! It's sooo much fun and easy to use. Very easy to upload videos too. The sound and picture quality is great and it is seriously small and the size of my cell phone!! I think my cell phone is actually even heavier. The price is completely reasonable and this would be a great gift for teenagers. I love gadgets and this is now my favorite one ever!"

It is the easiest thing to use and the sound quality is great.
We have no problem uploading the videos to u-tube for fun too.

"I have had this camera less than a month. It is sooo easy to turn on and shoot. I have made under 3 minute video mixes with the software in camera. I have sent to family on email and put on face book. Everyone loves my movies. It makes you look like a Pro at editing and shooting. Everything is quick. It holds 60 minutes which is more than enuf. Most people's attention span is shorter than 3 minutes. Perfect camera to shoot family, friends, people at work. It brings alot of smiles to people's faces to see them in a movie mix in less than 5 minutes. This is an awesome, fun, easy to run camera. It has music backgrouond to choose with each mix or load your own. Make it as short or as long as you want. It's so convenient and I carry it in my purse everywhere. I'm there to capture that "Flip" moment. You can plug it into any computer and make a movie within minutes. I have sold many of these from just sharing everything I do with this camera. The price...awesome....this is the video camera of the century! I love it sooo much!!!!"
