What's great about it: picture, setup process is very easy, ton of features, tons of connections, price. What's not so great: remote, some configuration options seemingly "reset"
"First, I love this TV. Period. Everything else is just commentary:
This TV is fabulous, especially for the price. It's got a ton of the right connections both for older hardware (eg. old VCRs using only RCA or Cable connections) and new HDMI. It can be configured in quite a bit of detail (more on this soon) and sets up is a breeze. I literally went from sitting next to a sealed box to sitting watching "the box" in less than 30 minutes.
My only complaints (and suggestions) are: -Closed Caption settings (which I realize most folks don't care about) seem to "reset" when the TV is powered off. As in, every time I want to watch TV, and for each channel, I have to turn the closed caption on. Kind of a pain.
-The remote works well with the TV (as you'd expect), but doesn't seem to be quite as good to control other devices. While it handles my old VCR well, my newer DVD (a major name brand, nonetheless) has minimal function (power, next chapter, and that's about it).
-There are so many inputs, it's hard to keep them straight, especially for those that 1.) didn't setup the TV or 2.) are using the TV for a short time (visitors, etc). It would be BRILLIANT if each input could be given a name that displayed on the Input Selection window."

What's not so great: have to replacepower supply for second time
"The Aquos is a nice tv, however, we have had ours since Jan 04 and are now replacing the power supply for the 2nd time. We had to replace it back in Feb of 07 and now again Dec of 08, this will cost us $335 to fix it again. Sharp doesn't warranty past 1 year so you're on your own for this. I personnaly don't think that it's worth it. IF YOU WANT TO keep putting money into it, then it's a good buy, otherwise I'd look elsewhere."

What's great about it: Easy Setup, Great Picture, Lots of connections What's not so great: Xbox 360 over component doesn't work well
"When I got it home and set it up, I noticed great picture quality out of the box. Backlight brightness control is a definite plus. I hooked it up to my playstation 3 over hdmi and 360 over component. The picture would cut out and come back intermittently so I took it back. The replacement has similar issues but seemingly only with the Xbox 360 over component. I've heard if you have the hdmi connecting Xbox it solves the issue but I don't have one to test. Too bad. This is a great price on a great tv, aside from my gaming issues."

"As far as I can tell this set is unique to Best Buy. With the exception of a different base, it is the same as the LC-32GP3U which is widely available elsewhere.
My set came with uniform backlighting and no dead pixels. Text is nice and sharp with computer use which inlcudes red/blue text on black background which can be a problem on other sets (Panasonic in particular). I have not done extensive lag testing, but with game mode on, it is very similar to a 22" Westinghouse TN panel I have.
Nice set. Recommended if gaming or computer monitor use is a priority. If movies or TV is a priority then this set is still nice, although there is no need to spend extra on this set if a Sony or Samsung can be found cheaper (which is sometimes the case)."

What's great about it: Outstanding Picture Clarity--Virtually Idiot Proof to Set UP What's not so great: Sound not consistent--certain actions diminisih sound sometimes--otherwise deceptively good sound.
"Excellent picture quality. More compact size ideal for wall units. Originally my purpose for picking this Sharp unit. Upon further research, realized better product in many ways than Samsung and def. better than Sony. 1080p is definitely the way to go upon comparing prices. You can pick up 720 for a couple of hundred less, but ultimately you're getting top of the line with 1080p. As for many comments on volume/sound, it is good most of time (95%)--certain times, shows, DVR playback volume less than ideal--especially for those of us who have 'rock & roll' diminished hearing. Another outstanding feature is 8 different grades of picture brightness auto adjustments dependent on amount of light in surrounding. Final note, you can get away with this TV without 'High Def' hookup, BUT--the difference is pretty amazing as for increase from very good clarity TO incredible clarity--especially in sporting events."

"We bought an 26" Lc-26ga5u 720p 3 years ago for $1500. Now it is still working great. This is my second Sharp. My wife and me feel our old Lc-26ga5u has better sound and color than this new one. Before we buy this new one, We went to friend's house compared Sharp with Samsung, sony, and Toshiba. We feel Sharp's picture color is more natural. Samsung has better color and smooth picture. Sony's picture is too bright.
Sharp's speakers are the best among others to us. Very good surround sound and very clear. You feel like the Tv is right next to you even you are 2 rooms away."

"this is my brothers tv and i am amazed with the 1080p picture, it is crystall clear and has pretty good sound I think it is a good tv, i do think it is a little expensives, but that is because it is full 1080p, movies look great and we did not have any problem getting it home to our house. I think best buy does a great job of helping you pick out tvs, and have great service to help us load it in the car."

What's great about it: Everything about this is good..... What's not so great: Only no PIP.....but who uses that anymore?!
"This tv has pretty exceptional quality. Compared to LG and Hitatchi tvs that i have several friends with, this tv has by far better picture quality and better color options (for movies, sports, personal, etc.). The sound quality is definitely up to par for a flat screen, and surround makes that even better. It is slightly spendy for being only a 32" but the money is worth it. Spending a couple hundred less for a same size Vizio isn't the right move. Vizio makes decent televisions for bars and sports bars, but while you're there all you want is to make sure you can see the sport. Movies, angle views, and daily shows are important with a personal tv, and the Aquos is about as good as it gets."

"My husband & I purchased the 32" Sharp Aquos TV. It has been great. The picture quality is excellent. My son changes it to wide screen when he visits. However, we prefer full panel tv screen. No complaints about this tv except that since so much is concentrated on providing high-qaulity picture, the manufacturers do not allow for truly high volume sound. I guess they think that anyone buying such a tv would surely want to add home theater to it. Unfortunately, my husband still has some times when he can't hear everything on this set (even if I've got it turned all the way up -- until my ear drums hurt!). About 1-1/2 months ago, we purchased a $500.00 home theater system we have yet to take out of the box & install. No idea if this will help. We are waiting for our son & a friend to hook it all up. Yipes! Old age sucks!"

"I've had this TV for a little while now and I am extremely happy with this purchase. I am using an HD cable box and an xbox 360 with this TV and both of the pictures when using this TV are superb. The HDTV looks extremely nice on this TV and the xbox 360 looks absolutely stunning especially with those games like gears of war or vegas 2 or call of duty 4 that put in extra time for the graphics. Also it has plenty HDMI and other inputs to allow for a full HD setup for your room. This TV I would suggest would be more for a room than a living room but I recommend this TV to anyone."
