"I've had the Instinct for a couple months and so far I love it. I've had no problems with it and its very easy to use. The Navigation feature is great. My current navigation system doesn't even say street names but my Sprint Navigation does. Previously I had the LG Rumor... which was good... but this is way better.
Minor draw backs:: *Doesn't have Direct AIM (like other phones like the BlackBerry) *Guys with big hands...may take a little while longer to adjust to texting. (I have big thumbs ,haha) *Has trouble sometimes displaying Album art for my music files (may just be my phone though) *Battery life is ok... feel it could be better. (I've just always had/been used to phones with really long battery life.)
....Like I said, its just minor draw backs which I can get over, or will be fine once adjusted to the phone."

What's great about it: Features! pretty easy to use, and looks pretty slick. What's not so great: Battery life. Only about 3 hrs of use time per battery.
"The phone is great! At $49 with a new contract, this phone is the best for the money. And it definately competes with the storm and I Phone. Sprint's service isn't the best, but it works in and around most major cities. So lets get into the phone itself. It has a very slick look to it and has the option to customize your favorite applications and speed dials. The key pad works well with a slight vibration with every touch of the keys. it comes with a "pen" and a case which I actually put a good use to. The internet works about as good as one could expect for a phone. It has two options for viewing pages, one is standard and one is mobile. I prefer the standard, it takes longer, but it has the most options on sites like facebook, myspace, ect... There are a couple of issues with the touch screen layout: Basically, you have to remember to lock the screen (by pressing a single botton on top of the phone) whenever you put the phone in your pocket or in a bag. The main page is your speed dials, and a simple touch on a name will start the call. Basically an unlocked phone in your pocket means a phone calll in your pocket. I had about 5 calls made by mistake within the first weekend of owning the phone. Also You cant lock the phone while on a call, so if you have the phone in your pocket while using bluetooth, there is no telling what might happen. The mute button is a common button that is easily pressed while holding the phone to your ear or holding it in your pocket during a call. The hang up button is a slide one, so it makes it hard to accidentally push. I wish the mute was too! The GPS is good, but one flaw with sprint...You have to have service to use it. Basically when traveling accross country your GPS will only work 50% of the time. I did the drive from Albany Ga To Atlanta and it worked about 70% of the time, but it actually went out on the interstate. Battery life is the final issue. It lasts about 3-4 hours while in use, but Samsung does supply a backup with a charging station which supplies a full charge within a few hours. Now that I stated all my issues, I must say one thing, "I Love This Phone". I put all the cons aside and easily say they are outweighed by the pros. It has a pretty good voice prompt program which allows adaption so it will work even better with different accents. There is a "live search" feature that allows you to speak what you are looking for( ie. pizza, hotel) and it uses the GPS to find your location and pulls up neighboring shops that support your request and gives you directions and phone numbers. AWESOME! This is a good buy. I recommend it."

"i have had this phone for about two months now and its been great. i live on this phone and it seems every day i find something else to brag about. the navigation is great and dead on, plus the text-to-speech feature is a huge plus!! a live search option allows you to speak into the phone any buisness name, and it will pull up the nearest location, phone number, plus navigate you to the buisness. the phone comes with 2 batteries and a great charger to slide the battery into, so you never have to have your phone pluged into the wall, simply take your dead battery out, and switch it with the battery thats in the charger!!! i could go on and on, i would highly recomend this phone to any one who's a fan of todays high pased tech. world. great job samsung!!!!"

"I got this phone about 3 months ago on a with the contract so it costed 129.99. I love the touch screen, but it takes a lot longer to text on this then my last phone, the sidekick slide. The system gets a bit laggy sometimes and does not respond in a timely manner. I reccomend that you power cycle this phone at least once a day to help with the issues.
The TV is very choppy and not worth using. The internet is decent but the Browser is HORIBLE. Opera Mini finnaly just came out with an updated version that works on the instinct and im hoping that will be better.
Not to many apps availble yet but hopefully soon. The Navi is awesome! Works very well and is very (which is good).
The camera is normal... not the best but not bad for a Cell phone.
Comes with 2 batteries and they last pretty long. Overall I am very happy with my purcahse, but realise you have to get the unlimited contract...either the 69.99 or the 99.99. Mine is 85 after taxes and insurance."

"Got this phone about 3months ago, really love the phone Sprint out did themselves with this one.. touch pad will adjust sensitivity either when you use the stylist or your fingers, full keyboard means that for those of us out there who have not memorized what the numbers to the letters are then this phone is for you if you text a lot, it has a radio with local stations, different genre for every taste. TV is for the really board at heart some are tapes segments and some live video. Navigation is really neat it talks you to your destination or you can switch to summery it will also give you traffic info as well.i The camera is a 2 meg pix. and will store up to the 2mg chip and the storage on the phone. You can also play mp3's on the 2mg chip just upload it from your fav's on the computer and start playing.. it will interrupt when you have a call and then go back to playing when you or they hang up. Comes with 2 batteries, and earphones that are especially for the phone so you can play music or talk hands free, also comes with a stylist and a case, and for your computer some software comes with the package as well. The really astounding feature is the price for 129.00 and the 99.00 contract you get unlimited calling and text also radio and TV."

"i've had this phone for a few weeks now, and i am loving it! Whenever i buy a new cell phone i always play with it and get into everything to see what it has, but they usually leave me not impressed. i've been playing with this phone since i got it, and i'm STILL finding stuff that i didn't know it had. I traded my lg rumor in for this phone and paid 130 for it. money well spent! i've looked at the iphone, us cellular's touch phone, and t mobile, and im glad i stayed with sprint! also, the plan i have is cheaper than everyone elses, and i get the credit union discount on top of it! i LOVE that the phone came with an extra battery and charger for the extra battery, not that i've had to use it yet, because i plug my phone in every night and i've never ran out of battery. i also loved that it came with a 2gb micro sd card, and a case that holds the stylus (btw, i've talked to 3 people that have this phone, and they didn't know that there was a place for it#. it's got fast net, nav, and email, and the huge screen with the 2 megapixel lens. #no zoom though =o(. the only couple bad things is that i have a mini heart attack whenever i find my empty case in my purse, and wondering where my phone is, being scratched. Also, i don't like that there's not a "main" screen. They only time you get to see your backround is when you're unlocking the phone. And the navigation...i've been playing with it about everyday to see what route it "thinks" i should take. Not the best, but just having it available is GREAT!! even though it doesn't usually take MY way, and it tells me to take U-TURNS #o) it still gets me to the right spot. other than those small things, it's awesome! my friend likes mine so much, she's getting one tomorrow...too bad she's getting a better deal than me...best buy has it for 79.99!!"

"This phone worked great for the first 30 days (of course). Now that I can't return it it sucks. The buttons on the keyboard are small and there's no predictive text. It freezes A LOT, sometimes so bad I have to take out the battery to turn it off. Freezes on some websites and goes back to home. Touch screen is not very sensitive and not easy to use sometimes. I tried the gps once and got lost much rather use my real gps. Camera has no flash and can't find the zoom. The speakers are good and the price is fair with a new contract. Even went in to bestbuy and used their instinct and it had the same problems. Overall, the phone is overrated and is not a great as it was made out to be."

"I've had this phone for 4 months now and it is GARBAGE!!!!! The T.V. has horrible picture, GPS takes to long to update when your on the go and usually ends up getting you lost or taking the wrong way. Battery life is too bad but have had better. The phone will completely freeze up at times and i have to take out the battery to get it working again."

"Had this phone for three weeks was a replacement for my wife's phone. Unlike the touch pro my primary phone the instinct had no problems and was instantly use able friendly and programmable. The touch pro was returned due to heat related problems at least the instinct has none of these shortcomings. I almost got another instinct when replacing the HTC Touch Pro for even now this second phone also generates a lot of heat when speaking or using the navigation features. I can say for the person that does not need WiFi the instinct is one third of the price as the touch pro. Don't get me wrong the touch pro has an audience for a specific purpose just as the instinct does. If I had done it over again I would have bought two instincts and saved almost $200 over the touch pro from best buy. The battery life of the instinct shocked me for comparing my touch pro to it and the usage. I have to carry a charger with me all the time and am very displeased with the battery life of the touch pro. For $100 one can not help but take a second look at the instinct. It's not a iphone nor a touch pro but in a class of its own. My old phone was a palm treo 650 and the instinct blows circles around it, the speed of the Internet for one and the quality of the speaker phone is far better than the old palm. Quite honestly I find myself reaching for my wife's instinct over the touch pro for its always on the charger!!!!"

"The Sprint Instinct is a nice, skinny phone. This phone has fast texting, quick email, nice web at 3G speeds, a great 2.0 megapixel camera, and much more. The touchscreen is super responsive, and the screen is big. The visual voicemail is very nice. You can access it from your homepage. It would be nicer if the homepage was more like a phone instead of just jumping to applications. The homescreen should be like anyother phone(Except the iPhone.)This phone would be better if It had sensors which recognized when the phone is turned to landscape mode like the LG Dare or iPhone. Also the Sprint TV application isnt too good either. But, when u think about it, all tv phones have choppy tv. In my opinion, the turn by turn GPS makes up for the TV"
