What's great about it: Allows access and control of iPod through in dash unit
What's not so great: Need to have location to store or mount iPod unit.

"For use with Pioneer AVIC-F900BT and AVIC-F700BT units and possible others. If you have one of these units, it allows direct control of iPod through the in dash unit. So all controls are over the 7 inch screen rather than fumble with the iPod unit. Cable must be connected to back of in dash unit. Recommend purchase and installation of this cable when unit is purchased, otherwise will have to pay additional later if installed separately. iPod is easily connected to cable once installed to in dash unit."

What's great about it: charges ipod in the car, can control through stereo dash
What's not so great: only works on ipods and pioneer a/v

"These cables are great, and since I travel alot for work, now I have the convenience of charging my ipod, in the car! These cables work on old and newer ipods, and what's cool about them is that you can control your ipod from your stereo controls, when it's hooked-up.
Only con is that it ONLY works on ipods and pioneer stereo a/v equipment. But that's really the only reason you're buying it, is FOR your ipod, so it's not really a con."
