What's great about it: It's BIG. Great HD Picture, and it's REALLY BIG. Great SD upconversion, too. Did I mention it's BIG?
What's not so great: Doesn't have the wide viewing angles of some smaller projection sets.

"I am out of my mind about this TV. Great HD picture, smooth motion even with lots of action on-screen, very nice standard def up-conversion. And it's huge. I mean, monumentally big. I sit 15 feet from the screen and the image is beautiful with little if any noticeable artifacting. I also use a video rocker on the floor less than half that distance from the screen when I play video games on the Xbox 360 -- even at that close distance, the image is stunning.

One drawback to this TV is that it does not have as wide a viewing angle as some of the other (smaller) rear projection sets I've seen, but the thing's so freakin' big you have to be in another neighborhood not to be directly in front of it. My room is about 17 feet long by about 12 wide, and there's not really any bad viewing angles to be had. If you have a REALLY wide room you may want to think about that though.

I gave this set a 5-star rating for sound because I didn't want to skew the review by giving it a zero when I have NO idea how it sounds. I use a home theater system and have no use for the on-board speakers.

I gave it a 4 out of 5 on value because it is really expensive at the regular price, though the only comparably sized rear projection set I know of from another company is more expensive. You definitely get a lot of TV for your money at the regular price, but if you hold out for sale pricing like I did then you might score this at 5 stars for value as well."

What's great about it: Very good price, 2nd best picture quality on earth, a lot of inputs, DLP, and everything else
What's not so great: nothing really

"As I said on my title this is the 2nd best television on Earth! The best television is the Mitsubishi 73inch laser vue tv. But still even though it is the 2nd best it is amazing! If you have a blue ray player, hd dvd player, a 360, a ps3, or basically any thing, this tv will make it look like heaven!! In fact even SD looks soo good on this tv, no joke! My ps3 looks amazing on this Same thing with my 360 and my blue ray player. My SD cable is like heaven on this. If you think you cant afford the Mitsubishi 73inch laser vue( the best television on earth!!) than get the 2nd best television on earth, which is this!!!!"

What's great about it: Awesome Picture!
What's not so great: Nothing that I can think of.

"The picture on this TV is amazing! Better than I expected. Better than in the store. I’ve been looking at this TV for a few years but couldn’t bring myself to spend the money, especially with a 61” 4X3 HD set at home. I was going to wait for the LaserVue to come out (and then for the price to come down -- and for the stock market to recover) before I bought this, but then my other TV's picture started to go bad. I am SO glad I got this TV. I never thought I'd say this (really) but it's almost TOO BIG! (I did say “almost”). But then again, I’m only 8 feet from the TV. Watching 16X9 HD is like being at the Movies. The price just keeps getting better and better as the LaserVue's debuts. I don’t have my Blu-Ray hooked up yet and I’m blown away by the picture. Get one before they’re harder to find."

"This tv is simply amazing! The 1080p capability is great for HD movies and television. The color is really vivid, even with bright light in the room.

Buy a good sound system with this and you will have a wonderful experience!"

What's great about it: For one the price I got it for was unbelievable, size is amazing along with the powerful look.
What's not so great: I could not find anything negative about this product.

"I had actually purchased the Mitsubishi 60 inch 1080 DLP and I loved it. However, it did not quite fit what I was looking for, so 30-Days later I went back to the store to look at the 65 inch and noticed they had the Diamond series and all the new improvements they made. Already impressed it did take much to persuade me to upgrade to the 73. It has six color tubes instead of three, faster response and amazing clarity. I like the gloss finish compared to the satin/flat look, the blue lights emulating where the audio speakers are, and now it fits my family room. This is truly a great buy. Now I am working on my entertainment speakers (Definitive), if you have not heard them you are truly missing out, expensive but worth it, if you can afford them. I am saving now.:-)"

What's great about it: Picture quality, multiple HDMI connectors, 120hz, huge tv, easy to set up
What's not so great: Not enough component inputs, speakers lack a little power

"Its a bit pricey but its alot cheaper than a 65 LCD, it looks amazing and you'll probably have the largest TV in your neighborhood =).
Great picture quality, great features, easy set up, it lets you make more complex adjustments to the image so it looks better in your home than on display.
The speakers could be better but a home theater is a must with a tv this size.
Definitely one of the best tvs on this price range."
